Description
Sprinkler system using water under. pressure. The present invention relates to a watering device using pressurized water. This watering device is characterized by a nozzle and a diffusion cone capable of being moved towards the nozzle so as to adjust the flow rate and the diffusion of the water.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.
The device shown comprises a straight tube 1 with a minimum length of 50 to 60 cm. At its threaded upper end is screwed a nozzle 2, the conical bore of which concentrates the pressurized water jet which escapes through a round hole. A ring 3, the height of which on the nozzle 2 is adjustable, is blocked by means of iuie screws. This ring serves as a support for a round steel rod 4; curved in a horseshoe and thinned in a to reduce the non-watered area. On the upper part (this rod, a pin 5 is locked by means of a screw.
Its threaded lower part supports a diffusion cone 6. The angle of conicity can vary according to the type of diffusion desired. It is between 42 and 48 that the best yield is obtained, that is to say the largest diameter of the watered surface, while ensuring a regular distribution of water from the center to the periphery of this area.
If the surface of the diffusion cone is smooth, the water droplets are smaller than if grooves are made around the circumference of the cone. As a variant, the grooves may have sharp edges which serve to divide the water particles more finely.
.Before use, the cone is exactly centered, then the two screws of parts 3 and 5 locked. If the cone is stuck on nozzle 2, the device works almost like a shut-off valve. By turning the cone counterclockwise, the water escapes in mist; in. increasing the distance between the nozzle and the cone, the water droplets remain very fine thanks to the grooves made on the periphery of the cone, and the watering surface can increase to the maximum.
