Drill tool. The object of the present invention is a drilling tool comprising a rotating chisel rod surrounded by a device intended for the injection of at least one fluid and the evacuation of this fluid and of the drilling cuttings, characterized ized in that this device comprises a coaxial con duct surrounding the shank of the chisel and serving. to inject the pressurized fluid to.
through the space between the chisel and said conduit towards the cutting edge located at the bottom of the borehole, said conduit being equipped on its periphery with means intended, on the one hand, to center the tool in the borehole and, on the other hand, to allow the evacuation of the drilling debris in the space between the pipe and the wall of the borehole.
The appended drawing, given by way of example, schematically represents two embodiments of the tool according to the invention.
In the first embodiment (fig. 1 to 3), fig. 1 is a sectional elevation taken along the line I-I of FIG. 2, of the drilling tool installed in the drilling hole, 1a, fig. 2 is a sectional plan, taken along line II-II of FIG. 1, and fig. 3 is a section taken on line III-III of the fi-. 1, from the end of the duct behind the bit.
In the second embodiment (fig. 4 to 6), the upper part of the, fig. 4 is an elevational view of a section of the drilling tool installed in the borehole of which FIG. 5 is a sectional plan, taken along the line V-V of FIG. 4. The lower part of FIG. 4 shows a variant of the second embodiment of which FIG. 6 is a sectional plan., Taken along line VI-VI of the lower part of said FIG. 4.
In the first embodiment (fig. 1 to 3), the chisel shank 4, housed in the duct 10, is shown in the boring hole with the cutting edge 5 at its point of attack.
A pressurized fluid, water or air, if necessary water and air, are injected as necessary, simultaneously or separately, from the outside towards the bottom of the borehole through the pipe 14, in a device comprising the conduit 10. The drill cuttings as well as the pressurized fluid are then discharged through a space 13, included between the conduit 10 and the wall of the borehole.
The device comprising the conduit 10 is maintained in a position coaxial with the borehole by means of cleats 15 fixed either on the coupling sleeve 16 which connects the sections of conduit 10, said sleeve acting as a pad surrounding the rod of chisel 4, or on the duct 10. These tabs 15 are, for example, arranged at 120 at the periphery of the duct, as shown in FIG. 2.
One could also arrange grooves in the sleeve 16, if necessary, in the duct sections 10, for the wise passage of a part of the pressurized fluid of the tines to help the evacuation of debris along their path. On the end of the duct 10, on the side of the cutting edge 5, are arranged spurs 17, cut in the form of knives, with two sharp edges, one of which is parallel to the axis and the other of which is radial. , is located .du side of the advance, in order to cooperate with the tabs 15 to guide in the rectilinear direction of drilling while leveling. the wall of the borehole.
In the second embodiment (fig. 4 to 6), the device comprising the conduit 10 is centered in the borehole by means of a tape. metal 18, wound in a helix and fixed edgewise to the periphery of said duct. This helical tape replaces the tabs 15 and serves to maintain the device in the axis of the borehole. The debris as well as the pressurized fluid are evacuated in the space between the device and the wall of the borehole, thus rising more easily to the surface of the ground, thanks to the helical winding of the tape 18.
The duct 10 is set in rotation, independently of the movement imparted to the bu rin by the perforator, by a gear train 20, controlled by a belt on the transmission pulley 21. This mode of operation is indicated. in fig. 4.
It is also possible, according to a variant shown in the lower part of FIG. 4, and in fig. 8, insert between the spurs 17, 17 ', located at the end of the duct 10, a metal tape, divided into elements 22, 22', arranged in ares of 180 and offset with respect to each other in the direction of the diameter of the device, so as to form chisels to ensure both the rec tilinear direction of the drilling and to aid in the evacuation of debris, as described above.
One could also suck the pressurized fluid as well as the drilling cuttings, notwithstanding their natural evacuation, by the helical tape.
When the, pressurized fluid is. consisting only of air, it is preferable, to avoid silicosis, to suck up the debris by an independent device 23, arranged at ground level and similar to the device 19 which is used to inject the fluid under pressure, as indicated. qué in phantom in the upper part of fig. 4.
