La, came29 commande, par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif semblableà celui décrit ci- dessus et non représenté, un arbre36 sembla bleà l'arbre 34 et parallèleà ce dernier (fig. 3). L'arbre 34 porte, monté de facon cou lissante sur lui, mais solidaire angulairement, un support.37 pour la, pièceà scier38. Cette dernière est eollée sur un bâtonnet en boisÔ9, lequel est pincé entre deux mâchoires 40 et 41;
Machine to automatically saws hard materials by means of a diamond grinding wheel. The present invention relates to a machine for automatically sawing hard materials such as ruby, sapphire, tungsten, hard metal, optical glass, etc., by means of a diamond grinding wheel.
This machine is characterized by the fact that it comprises a device producing, during sawing, a relative displacement between the grinding wheel and the sawn material, parallel to the axis of the grinding wheel, so to exert axial pressure on the periphery of the wheel to prevent buckling of the latter.
The appended drawing represents, to by way of example, an embodiment of the object (Ic the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view, with parts broken away, of the machine.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a detail.
Fig. 3 is. a profile view of a detail. fia fig. 4 is a profile view of another detail.
The 5 is a cut of a detail.
Fig. 6 is an axial section of the end of the spindle, and the, fig. 7 is a schematic view of the grinding wheel in operation.
The machine shown includes a parallelepiped 1 carter divided into three chambers: a large lower chamber 2 and two juxtaposed upper chambers 3 and 4. The chamber 3 < / B> is closed by a removable cover 5 and chamber 4 by a cover 6 hinged to a vertical partition 7 separating the chambers < B> 3 and 4. A glass 8 constitutes the upper wall of the cover 6. Chamber 2 encloses a container 9 for settling the coolant, an electric motor 10 actuating a pump 11 for the circulation of this liquid and the electric motor main 12.
The latter controls, by means of a belt 13, the spindle 14 of the machine, which rotates in three bearings, one of which, 15, is mounted from n the partition 7, and of which the other two, including a threshold, 16, is visible in fig. 1, are located in chamber 3. Spindle 14 controls, by a belt 17, a box 18 of reduction drive driving, by a chain 19, a shaft with cams 20. It is to note that the belts 1.3 </ B > and. 17 pass through chimneys 21 which prevent the debris of these belts from spilling into the machine.
Furthermore, the automatic running control mechanism of the machine is entirely housed in chamber 3, while the sawing mechanism is housed in chamber 4. There is therefore no there is no risk that the sawing waste will come into contact with the machinery or the motors.
Spindle 14 carries two diamond wheels 22 and 22 '. The grinding wheel 22 'is mounted directly on the spindle (fig. 6) and is clamped against a stop 23 fixed on the spindle 14 by a spacer 24 fixed on the spindle pax a nut 25. The grinding wheel 22 is mounted and tightened on the spacer 24 by a washer 26 held in place by a screwed nut 27 on this between fathead. Thanks to this arrangement, we can remove the grinding wheel 22 'without destroying the centering of the grinding wheel 22: it suffices to unscrew the nut 25 and remove the spacer 24.
The camshaft with cams 20 carries two cams 28 and 29. The cam 28 controls a lever 30 articulated on a shaft 31 (fig. 5). This lever 30 acts on a pusher 32 slidably mounted on a lever 33 fixed to a shaft 34. The valve 32 is returned by a spring < B> à sausage â; 53.
The cam 29 controls, by means of a device similar to that described above and not shown, a shaft 36 ble to shaft 34 and parallel to the latter (fig. 3). Shaft 34 carries, mounted in a smooth sliding way on him, but angularly fixed, a support. 37 for the piece to sawing 38. The latter is glued onto a wooden stick Ô9, which is clamped between two jaws 40 and 41;
this one is. articulated in 42 on the support 37. The shaft 36 carries a support 43 similar to the support 37 and carrying a part to < / B> sawing 44. The pieces 38 and 44 are thus diametrically opposed with respect to to the axis of the grinding wheels 22 and '0' # _. The rotation of the cams 28 and 29 produces an oscillating movement of the shafts 34 and 36 and thus of the supports 37 </ B > and 43, which causes the parts 38 and 44 to move towards the grinding wheels. Thanks to the spring 35, the pressure exerted by the pieces to on the grinding wheels increases progressively during the sawing opera tion.
The two supports 37 and 43 are connected by a part 45 perpendicular to the shafts 34 and 36 and mounted in such a way to to be able to slide on them . It is to to note that these trees are each surrounded by a pair of protective 62 bellows extending one between the partition < B> 7 and the support. carried by the shaft, the other (not shown) between the connecting piece 45 and the wall of the housing, torn off in FIG. 1.
The connecting piece 45 carries a through tube 46. 1a, partition 7. This tube can rotate relative to to part 45, but is axially secured thereto. It ends with a threaded part 46a located in the chamber 3 and in which is screwed a threaded rod 47 rotating in an intermediate wall 48 (the chamber to and performing, thanks to a mechanism described below, a rotational movement between each sawing operation. This rotation produces the advance of the tube 46 and the part 45, and consequently a displacement, parallel to the axis of spindle 14, supports 37 and 43, brought a new part of-, pieces to sawn in look of the millstones.
The tube 46 carries an arm 49 connected, by a link 50, to an arm 43a, of the support 43. Lon of the oscillating movements of the supports 37 and 43, during operations ,,,, sawing, the arm 49, controlled by the, rod 50, also performs a slight oscillation and, the threaded rod 47 then being stationary, this oscillation of the arm 49, and consequently of the tube 46, produces a very slight axial displacement of the supports 37 and -13 and, consequently, of the pieces to to saw 38 and 44. This displacement, of the order of a few hundredths of a millimeter, is done in the direction of the arrow 51 (fig. 7) </ B > and aims to prevent buckling of the grinding wheels.
Indeed, these being formed by very thin discs, they tend to to deform in the direction of the weakest resistance, that is to say on the side where the cuts have already have been carried out in the sawing room. The slight axial displacement exerts, in the vicinity of the periphery of the grinding wheels, a pressure parallel to their axis, which suppresses the tendency to flame.
Intermittent control of the threaded rod 47 is carried out as follows: The with camshaft 20 carries, in addition to the cams 28 and 29 , a cam 52 (fig. 2 and 4) acting on -Lin lever 53 articulated at 54 on the wall 48 (the machine and, bearing. a counterweight 55. The lever 5â carries an eliquet 56 controlling a wheel with ratchet 57 </ B> integral with Lin pinion 58. This dei-nier meshes with a pinion 59 carried by an extension 47a of the threaded rod 47.
A each revolution of the cam 52, the lever 53 is raised and falls under the action of the counterweight 55, </ B> thus producing an angular displacement of the threaded rod 47 and the advance of the pieces to to saw. A 60 manual control chicken can be introduced on a 47b square terminating rod 47 and allows hand control of this rod.
The machine also includes an electromagnetic clutch of the de- multiplication box making it possible to engage and disengage the drive pinion of the chain 19 and, consequently, to engage and de- brayer Farbre to cams.
The amplitude of the oscillations of the supports 37 and, 43 is adjustable, the pusher 32 being able to move along the lever 33 (fig. < B> 5).
Finally, the value of the axial displacement of the pieces to be sawed during the sawing operation can also be modified by holes 61. made. of the arm 49 and which allow to move the articulation point of the connecting rod 50 on this arm (fig. 3).
