Description

Process for the production of a metallizable monoazo dye The present patent relates to a process for the production of a metallizable monoazo dye. The process is characterized in that one dianotated 6-acetylamino-4-nitro-2-amino-1-oxy-benzene with. ? -Carbomethoxyamino-6-oxv-naphthalene-8-sulfonic acid couples.

The new monoazo dye obtained is, in the form of its sodium salt, a black powder that dyes wool from an acid bath in red-violet tones, which are very genuine olive-green tones, which are particularly excellent light, when honored.

Example 21.1 parts of 6-acetylamino-4-nitro-2-amino-l-oxy-benzene are stirred in 200 parts of water with 20 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and a solution of 6.9 parts is added dropwise Sodium nitrite in 20 parts of water is dianotized at 5-7.

The diazo suspension is then neutralized until the mineral acid reaction disappears by adding sodium bicarbonate and mixing it at 0-5 with a cold solution which is obtained by dissolving 29.7 parts of 2-carbomethoxy-atnino-6-oxy-naphthalene-8- sulfonic acid with 6 parts of sodium carbonate in 150 parts of water with the addition of a further 8 parts of sodium carbonate, 15 parts of 25% ammonia water and 10 parts of pyridine to the cooled solution.

The color formed precipitates immediately as a black powder, and after an hour is. the diazo compound disappeared. The mixture is stirred for a further 16 hours at room temperature and the dye is filtered off and dried. Fr is obtained in the form of the sodium salt as a black powder, which dissolves in water with a green-blue color, with the addition of dilute acids with a blue-red color and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a red color. Wool is dyed from an acidic bath in red-violet tones, which are transformed into very real, especially extremely lightfast, olive-green tones after chrome plating.
