Method and device for automatically regulating the pressure or the temperature of the steam or water of oil-heated steam or hot water systems The present invention relates to a method and a device for automatic control of the pressure or the temperature of the steam. or water from steam or lleisswasser systems heated by oil using an atomizer burner.
There are already oil firing systems be known in which an oil LLift-Gemiseh, z. B. according to the so-called nozzle burner principle, is injected into the combustion chamber. In such systems, the steam pressure or the water temperature of the boiler is regulated by periodically switching one or more oil burners on and off. A change in the oil pressure rate of such a jet burner for the purpose of changing the output is only possible within narrow limits.
They are therefore only suitable where a fairly constant heating output has to be delivered. In order to change the heating output, in larger boiler systems one managed that several burner nozzles were switched on and off in stages.
For large systems such as B. industrial heating systems, systems for ship or locomotive operation, there has long been a need to change the oil flame or the heating power within wide limits - for example in the ratio of 1:10 - and also to be able to burn heavy fuel oils. The invention described below creates a method and a device which allows this problem to be solved.
The inventive method is based; Make sure that the oil throughput of the burner is automatically changed by a control element in order to change the heating output, the viscosity of the oil is kept constant by heating before it is atomized and the supply of secondary air into the combustion chamber is automatically adapted to the oil throughput.
The device according to the invention for carrying out this method has in the oil supply line a continuously adjustable regulating element governed by an automatic pressure or temperature controller and an air throttle valve in the secondary air channel which is automatically adjusted when this element is adjusted.
In order to be able to change the oil throughput within wide limits, either a vortex atomizer must be used, or a minimum amount of air must be provided at the nozzle that ensures atomization of the oil. In the latter case, it is advisable to give the atomizer a to supply a constant but relatively small amount of air, which enables the oil to be atomized properly.
In addition to this so-called primary air, so-called secondary air is also supplied to the combustion chamber, in such a quantity that the degree of efficiency of the combustion is optimal. The amount of secondary air changes in the same way as the amount of oil supplied.
To ensure that the regulation works independently of the oil quality and the oil temperature and that atomization takes place correctly, the viscosity of the oil is kept constant by a heater before it is atomized. This ensures that oils of very different thicknesses are burned in the same furnace can.
The oil throughput is changed, for example, by means of a throttle device, e.g. B. a needle valve or a throttle valve. An air throttle valve in the secondary air duct is also adjusted automatically with the oil throttle element, e.g. B. so that the once set ratio of the amount of oil to the amount of air remains constant for each oil throughput.
The viscosity of the oil is expediently measured by a rotary viscometer or by means of the pressure drop on a diaphragm. The latter method requires a separate measuring channel with a measuring pump and constant circulation through the orifice. To monitor the flame, it is advisable to install a photocell that switches off the entire system as soon as the flame goes out. In addition, devices for monitoring the exhaust gases, eg. B. CO or C0 #> - R, exhaust gas tester, can be installed.
The method and device are shown below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example. 1 shows the boiler of a hot water heating system with the chimney flue 2, the hot water; servo flow pipe 3 and the return pipe 4.
The air is supplied to the combustion chamber 5 through the primary air duct 6 and the secondary air duct 7. The air supply he follows through a not. drawn fan of the usual type, the air being heated in a heat exchanger before by the exhaust gas heat of the chimney. The oil atomizer 8, a photocell 9 and a manual adjustment flap 10 are located in the primary air duct 6.
Located in the secondary air duct 7. see the air throttle flap 7.1, which is automatically adjusted by the drive 12, but also has means for manual adjustment ..
To change the oil flow is. in the oil supply line a throttle member 13 is built, which is automatically operated by a drive 14, but also has means for manual adjustment .. Before entering the throttle member 13, the oil is not through a. The preheating device shown in the drawing is preheated in order to obtain a constant viscosity of the oil that is advantageous for atomization and combustion.
In the hot water supply pipe 3, a temperature sensor 15 is installed, which measures the hot water temperature and transmits it to the controller 16. The controller 16 can in principle operate on any principle, e.g. B. elec trically, electronically or pneumatically. The heating system now works in such a way that the controller 16, depending on the hot water temperature at the transmitter 15, sets the oil throughput by means of the drive 14 and the throttle element 13 so that the water temperature assumes the desired value. The throttle element 13 cannot, however, quite are closed so that there is always a minimum oil flow and the flame cannot be extinguished.
Simultaneously and in parallel with the throttle element 13, the throttle valve 11 is adjusted via the drive 12 and the air supply to the combustion chamber through the secondary air duct 7 is changed in the same way as the oil throughput in order to obtain optimal combustion. The amount of air fed through the primary air duct 6 to the combustion chamber 5 is adjusted and kept constant by means of the manual throttle valve 10 in accordance with the minimum oil throughput.
To monitor the flame, the photocell 9 is installed, which switches off the oil pump when the flame is extinguished and a signal sounds. In addition, CO and CO measuring devices can be provided to monitor the combustion gases. Such devices can have a correcting effect on the controller 16 and on the air throttle valve 11.
The prescribed device allows the performance of the oil burner and the system to be changed within wide limits and to adapt to the requirements of the load. Instead of. To regulate to constant pressure or constant temperature, this variable could of course also be regulated according to a preset or freely adjustable program.
