Casting system In the foundries, especially in connection with mass production, flow systems have come into use which have the task of moving the molds or the boxes containing the molds in uninterrupted or cyclical movement from the mold point to the casting point and from there via a cooling section to convey to the emptying point, from where the boxes migrate back to the mold point. In such flow systems, the most diverse types of conveyors, predominantly roller tracks or endless belts, are used, with loose backing plates for the molds or for the molding boxes in use.
It is also already known that the conveying means or the forms or mold boxes transported on them trigger switching pulses to set working machines arranged at certain points, for example a device for pulling the molding boxes from the conveying means for the purpose of emptying them on a grate in motion .
The invention relates to a casting plant in which three parallel roller tracks running next to each other are arranged, the two outer ones of which are used to transport the mold boxes ready for casting, while the middle roller track takes over the reverse transport of the empty molding boxes.
What is new is that between the two outer roller conveyors and the inner roller conveyor at one end the machines used to manufacture the molds and cores and at the other end the devices for emptying the molding boxes are arranged, as well as cross connections exist between the ends of the three roller tracks, over which the molding boxes or the plates supporting them are automatically guided by means of drives switched on in the roller tracks and finally that the transport of the molding boxes or
of the plates carrying them on the roller tracks intermittently in such a way that roller drives switched on in the roller tracks at the individual work stations are controlled by the molding boxes or by which they carry the plates.
The casting system according to the invention enables an automatic circulation of the mold boxes due to its self-contained training. She is nevertheless able to adapt the circulation of the boxes to the possibly changing workload at the individual workplaces.
The individual features of the invention are explained in more detail using the exemplary embodiment dargestell th in the drawing.
The entire system is shown in FIGS. As the floor plan shown in Fig. 2 shows, the system consists of two roller tracks 1 for the full molding boxes and a roller track 2 between them for the empty molding boxes, and also of the molding machines 3 for the upper boxes and the molding machines 4 for the lower boxes from the machines 5 for the production of the cores to be inserted into the molds and finally from the emptying points 6 at the end of the webs 1. FIG. 1 shows in profile the empty web 2 with the molding machines 3 and 4, core machines 5 and the emptying point 6.
It can be seen from this that the empty web does not run horizontally, but rather has a gradient from a highest point towards both the molding machines and the emptying points. The emptied form boxes are thus driven by a drive 7. Taken over the rising first part of the empty track 2 of the highest point, from which they run down to the two molding machines 3 for the upper boxes. This sloping route is just like the corresponding inclined route in front of the Unterästenformmasehinen a Spei memory, which means a working margin between the feeding of the empty boxes by the drive 7 and the removal of the mold boxes on the molding machines.
In FIG. 3, the right part of the system is shown on an enlarged scale according to FIG. Immediately in front of the molding machines 3 for the upper boxes, the roller drive 8 is built into the empty web 2. As soon as the completely empty molding box 9, which rests on one of the loose support plates 10, see the level of the molding machine 3 be found, it hits against the Ansehlag 11 and thereby causes the drive to be switched off B. At the same time, a second Ansehlag 12 is actuated, which The result is that a mechanical hoist located at this point above the empty web 2 grips the upper box, lifts it from the lower box and transports it to one of the two molding machines 3.
From Figure 4, which shows a vertical cross section through the system at the point of the molding machines 3, this situation can be seen. The hoist, which is denoted by 13, has grasped and raised the upper box in order to transport it to the molding machine 3 on the right. In this way, the hoist actuates the Ansehlag 14, whereby the drive 8 of the runway 2 is stopped again. Similarly, the lower boxes are lifted off at the level of the molding machines 4. Here, too, a stop 12 is provided, which is used to actuate a mechanical lifting device that acts in the same way to transport the lower boxes to the molding machines 4. FIG. 5 illustrates these relationships in a similar representation to FIG. 4.
The empty underlay plates 10 now run to a roller drive 15 arranged transversely to the empty path 2, which feeds them to the two roller conveyors 1 for the full boxes as required on one side or the other. This distribution takes place automatically with the help of an electrical eye mask. As soon as one of the base plates 10 arrives at the molding machine 4 for the sub-boxes, it actuates the switch 76, the adjustment of which causes the roller drive 15 to be adjusted.
If the worker operating the molding machine 4 has placed a full lower box on the base plate 10 with the help of a hoist 17, he can operate a switch 18 which sets the drive 19 for the runway 1 in motion, provided that the operator for the corresponding upper box machine 3 has operated the same switch 18a.
Only when both switches, which are dependent on each other, are operated. are, see the drive 19 in motion and pushes all the support plates that are on the runway 1, one plate width further. The drive 19 is held out by an end switch 20, which is arranged in such a way that the full lower box is exactly at the height of the middle of the upper left: @ tenform-masehine zii.
As soon as the support plate on the molding machine 4, which is equipped with a lower box, has covered the third part of its way, it releases the switch 21 so that the drive 15 is activated again. becomes. The upper box is in turn placed on the lower box that has arrived at the upper box molding machine 3 with the aid of a hoist. The complete molding boxes are then wedged in the usual way, followed by pouring and cooling of the cast pieces.
In front of the emptying points, which are shown in plan or in side views in FIGS. 6 to 8, a short slope is provided in the runways 1 so that the boxes run towards the roller drives 22 by themselves. You actuate the switches 23 and 24. The drive 22 is switched on via the latter, which pushes the empty support plates 10 by one plate width, the drive 22 being switched off by actuating the limit switch 25. The first of the empty shims 10 runs. in this forward movement by means of a slope via a pawl, which ensures its exact location, the driver drive 7 for the empty web 2 to.
The actuation of the stop 23 causes the compressed air cylinder 27 to be switched on, the piston rod 30 of which is provided with two plungers 28 and 29 and pushes the previously emptied molding box onto the empty track 2 and the full molding box from the runway 1 to the emptying point. The emptying point consists of a slideway for the molding box, which can be set into rapid vibrations by a vibration device. The vibration device is switched on by moving the piston rod over the stop 31.
By the return of the piston rod, the vibration device is switched off again by actuating the same switch 31. As a result of the vibration of the molding box, the latter empties. The casting falls onto a grate 32 arranged below the vibration point, while the sand falls through the grate 32 onto a box belt 33, which transports it away.
The grate 32 and the adjoining grate 34 are continuously vibrated by vibrators 35 in order to move the castings to the left to the extraction point and to destroy the cores and also to shake out the core sand. As soon as the emptied molding box has been pushed onto the runway 2. is, on a pad already located there 10, the driver drive 7 is set in motion with the help of the switch 36.
This pushes the backing plate on it and the backing plates in front of it already on the empty web by a plate length, which is ensured by the fact that the drive 7 is switched off again by a limit switch 37 attached to a corresponding point. In order to avoid a simultaneous pressing of the molding boxes from the emptying points of the two webs 1 to the common blank web 2, check valves are installed so that only one of the two compressed air cylinders 27 can be operated.
The two roller drives 22 are also connected to the energy network in such a way that only one can ever receive the drive energy.
