Description
Outil <B>en diamant,</B> L'objet de la présente invention est un outil en diamant. Celui-ci est caractérisé par le fait que la face de l'outil qui est située sous l'arête coupante de celui-ci est raccordée par un arrondi, placé en retrait par rapport à cette arête, au corps de l'outil.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple et schématiquement, deux formes d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation d'un outil ordinaire.
Les fig. 2 et 3 sont des vues semblables de chacune des deux formes d'exécution.
L'outil ordinaire en diamant 1 de la fig. 1 est représenté travaillant une surface 2. Il comprend une arête coupante 3 destinée à en lever un copeau et, située au-dessous de celle- ci, une face 4 appelée face de dépouille terminée par une arête 5. La face de dépouille est utilisée pour polir la pièce par frottement sur celle-ci, après enlèvement du copeau<B>;</B> mais il arrive que l'arête 5, au cours du travail, vienne en contact avec la surface 2 et la déforme, car son travail de polissage n'est pas aussi bon que celui de la face tout entière.
C'est pourquoi, dans les deux formes d'exécution représentées aux fig. 2 et 3, cette arête 5 est supprimée. L'arête coupante 3 est suivie, en allant vers le bas de l'outil, d'une face 4 qui est raccordée au reste de l'outil par un arrondi placé en retrait par rapport à cette arête. Dans la forme d'exécution de la fig. 2, cet arrondi, 6, est situé à la partie inférieure d'une partie plane 7, alors que dans la forme d'exécution de la fig. 3, cet arrondi, 8, com mence directement au-dessous de l'arête 3.

- REVENDICATION Outil en diamant, caractérisé par le fait que la face de l'outil qui est située au-dessous de l'arête coupante de celui-ci est raccordée par un arrondi, placé en retrait par rapport à cette arête, au corps de l'outil.
