Support On various occasions and in particular for the arrangement of display cases, it is useful to be able to have a support allowing the trays to be maintained at various heights and variously oriented, according to variable arrangements. The present invention relates to a medium capable of satisfying to such conditions.
Said support is characterized in that it is in the form of a prism and has, on at least some of its faces, grooves which are demarcated, on the one hand, by a plane perpendicular to the face considered, on the other hand, by an oblique plane with respect to to this face, the latter plane going away from the first of the entry at the bottom of the groove, a slot arranged parallel to said groove being made in the material of the prism in immediate proximity to said last plane, so as to let remain between this slot and this plan a strip lying in wait for material which is elastically deformable.
For the purposes of the present invention, the term “prismatic part” is understood to mean any part having a polygon as its base.
The attached drawing shows one embodiment of the object of the invention, given to by way of example, and a particular use of the latter.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the support in the form of a quadrangular prism. Fig. 2 is a sectional view, to on a larger scale, across a groove and the corresponding slot.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view similar to in fig. 2 after introduction of a tray in the throat.
Fig. 4 is a view showing how it is possible to join two supports together.
The support shown to in fig. 1 consists of a quadrangular prism 1 made of metal or a thermoplastic material, for example.
In its faces are formed grooves and slots which will be described in more detail by taking one of them as an example. It is a groove 2, to which is added a slot 3.
The groove 2 is delimited at its lower part, in the position shown, by a plane 4 which is perpendicular to the longi tudinal axis of the prism and, consequently, at face 1 and, at its upper part, by a plane 5 oblique with respect to at this face 1 and which goes away from the first of the entrance to the gorge towards the bottom of the latter. As a result, the back of the gorge is wider than its entrance.
A immediate proximity to this inclined plane 5 is made a slot 3, parallel to the general direction of the throat, which leaves a tongue of 6 material which is elastically deformable along the latter.
The parts which have just been described are visible in the sectional view of FIG. 2, which shows the exact profile.
Fig. 3 shows how a plate 7 can be introduced into groove 2 and y remain maintained, on the condition that the thickness of this plate has a value between the width of the inlet and that of the bottom of said groove. In this way, the tray can only be inserted by deforming the tab 6 and thus narrowing the slot 3. The tray will be perpendicular to </ B > the considered face of the prism 1, because the tab 6 presses it and forces it to to rest against the plane 4, itself per pendicular to this face.
The example of fig. 1 shows that it is possible to have grooves and slots on any face of the prism and in any number.
It can also be useful to dispose of them like the groove 8 and the corresponding slot 9, in a direction parallel to </ B> the axis of the prism. This allows, as shown in the example of fig. 4, to assemble two supports 10 and 11 together by connecting them by a plate 12, in particular to keep them in a vertical position. Depending on the arrangement and the number of grooves, it is thus possible to assemble more than two supports and, in general, to form any arrangement of supports and trays between them. The latter will be, for example, glass plates.
It is finally possible to increase the elastic pressure exerted by the tongues on the plates by placing in the slots, either springs or rubber bands.
Finally, the bottom of the gorges can also be rounded instead of being flat, as has been drawn.
