Description

Method for the production of hollow blades for turbines and compressors The invention relates to a method for the production of hollow blades for turbines, compressors or the like machines. Also concerns. the invention a hollow blade produced by this method.

The manufacture of such blades is extremely difficult and expensive considering the complicated shapes of the same, the material to be processed and the great precision required. It is known to draw such blades hollow from heat-resistant sheet metal or to produce them by casting with a bore. The processing of drawn or welded blades is very time-consuming and requires a large number of precisely coordinated operations.

When casting the blades from highly heat-resistant metal alloys, inaccuracies caused by core displacement, mold box misalignment, crumbling, etc. could not be avoided, which then had to be eliminated by very costly rework. It is also known to hen hollow shovels from profile rod sections to rotate, to drill, to hit in the die to the pressed part and finally to finish, with the production waste almost. 90%. In view of the very valuable material, such a process is extremely uneconomical.

The aim of the invention is to create a simple, economical, and precise method for producing hollow blades of the type in question.

The method according to the invention consists in the fact that a hollow blade blank is first made using a precision bus method, the inner and outer surfaces of which are then processed by cutting tools, whereupon the blade is finally brought into its final shape by non-cutting deformation.

This combination of a casting process with machining and non-cutting deformation makes it possible, starting from a blade blank that can already be manufactured with great accuracy, to first separate the tolerances resulting from the casting by machining and then through the subsequent non-cutting deformation, the final shape of the blade with the desired dimensions, so that ultimately only a fine processing of the surface by grinding or polishing needs to be made.

Through this sequence of successive process steps, a substantial reduction in manufacturing tolerances is achieved, the material consumption is reduced to a minimum and the entire production is considerably simplified and cheaper.

In the following, the method according to the invention is explained using the drawing, for example. Fig. 1 and 2 show in longitudinal section. and a precision cast blade blank in front view.

3 to 5 schematically illustrate the machining of the precision cast blank.

6 schematically illustrates an embodiment of the non-cutting deformation by means of rollers.

7 and 8 illustrate a further embodiment of the non-cutting deformation by means of pressing, and finally, FIGS. 9 and 1.0 show the finished blade in side and front view.

The first stage of the method according to the invention consists in producing a blade blank according to FIGS. 1 and 2 as a preform with the aid of the precision casting method (e.g. working with a lost wax model). This preform depends on the size of the tolerances that occur and the processing options and is. on the other hand, it depends on the nature of the alloy used and the required heat treatment. The cast blade blank is given a blade shape with z. B. round, egg-shaped or the final profile even closer approximated cross-section. with a machining allowance on the inner and outer surface of the blade, which is dimensioned so that the tolerances resulting from the casting can first be eliminated by machining the inner and outer surfaces.

In addition, the cross-sectional shape of the cast blank, both of the later blade 1 and the later blade root 2, is chosen so that the inner and outer surfaces of these parts can easily be machined with the help of commercially available machine tools or tools.

Fig. 3 of the drawing illustrates cal cally how, for example, the inner surface of the hollow blade 1 and the hollow blade root 2 is turned out with a circular cross-section or cleared with a profiled cross-section. Then, according to FIG. 4, the blade root is turned off on the outer surface with a circular cross-section. or with a profiled cross-section, copy-turned or copy-milled.

According to FIG. 5, the hollow blade can then be placed on a precisely fitting mandrel and processed as precisely on its outer surface, preferably by plunge grinding on an automatic copy grinding machine. that the deviations of the dimensions are kept in the order of magnitude of fractions of 100ths of a mm.

After the desired dimensions have been achieved by the above machining operations in compliance with the required tolerances, the blades are either cold or warm, depending on the particularity of the metal alloy used, by pressing, embossing, rolling or similar non-cutting deformation into their final shape brought.

6 illustrates the non-cutting shaping of the airfoil 1 with the aid of pendulum rollers 3. The rolling with the aid of such a device is assumed to be known per se.

According to Fig. 7 and 8, the non-cutting deformation of the blades is carried out by pressing them in corresponding molds or dies 4. In this work stage, the blade is also twisted by non-cutting deformation, so that the blade 1 with the blade root then follows the in Figs. 9 and 10 is finalized form illustrated. The blade root is also brought into its final shape by non-cutting deformation.

Depending on the type of metal alloy used, a heat treatment can be switched on before or between the individual work steps, which is adapted to the structure and hardness of the blade material and the requirements of the processing.

Finally, the blade surface is covered by fine machining such as grinding and Po, z. B. brought into the desired final state by grinding in a so-called tool grinding machine.
