  Bâton de     gendarme       La présente invention a trait à un bâton de  gendarme principalement pour régler la circu  lation, comprenant un manche et une partie  de couleur claire. Il est caractérisé en ce que  cette dernière partie est rendue lumineuse par  au moins une source lumineuse électrique con  tenue à l'intérieur du bâton.  



  Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem  ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in  vention, représenté en coupe longitudinale.  



  Le bâton est constitué par un corps cylin  drique creux 1 en matière synthétique transpa  rente, par exemple en     polyméthylmétacrylate.     L'extrémité ouverte de ce corps présente un fi  letage 2 et une fente 3 dont l'extrémité 4 sert  à déterminer la position d'une lampe de po  che 5 ordinaire engagée à l'intérieur du corps  1. Cette lampe prend appui, par le support 6  de l'interrupteur 7, contre ladite extrémité 4 ;  elle est maintenue à l'intérieur du bâton au  moyen d'un bouchon 8 vissé sur la portée fi  letée 2.  



  La partie la du corps est revêtue d'une  peinture blanche destinée à diffuser la lumière  émise par la lampe. Cette peinture peut être  remplacée par une feuille mince de papier  blanc tapissant la paroi interne et le fond de la  cavité.  



  Par un simple déplacement de l'interrup  teur, l'agent chargé de la circulation dispose  d'un signal lumineux très visible lorsque la vi-         sibilité    est mauvaise, notamment la nuit ou  dans le brouillard.  



  Au lieu d'une seule lampe, le bâton pour  rait en contenir plusieurs de différentes cou  leurs, par exemple jaune, verte et rouge, qui  seraient allumées alternativement par l'agent  au moyen d'un interrupteur spécial.  



  A titre de variante d'exécution, le bâton  pourrait être pourvu, en remplacement du dis  positif à pile sèche, d'un appareil connu com  prenant une magnéto actionnée manuellement.  Il pourrait également comprendre une lampe  alimentée, par l'intermédiaire d'un fil suffisam  ment long, au réseau électrique général ou en  core, au moyen d'une batterie d'accumulateurs,  portée par l'agent ou placée à proximité de ce  dernier.  



  Il est aussi possible d'utiliser un tube  translucide.
