Description

Device comprising an electrical pulse generator, in particular signaling lamp and guarding device The present invention relates to a device comprising an electrical pulse generator, in particular signaling lamp and guarding device, comprising a transitor operating as an oscillator. blocked, supplied by a battery of cells, a unit formed of a capacitance and a resistance, and a transformer with three windings.

It is characterized in that the frequency of the oscillator is determined by the self-induction of the primary winding of the transformer, in that the blocking period of the oscillator is determined by the self-induction of the second winding and by the time constant of the capacitance and of the resistance, the third winding of the transformer developing a high voltage proportional to the ratio of said transformer, so as to generate electrical pulses of low intensity, the rate of which is determined by the constant of time.

The accompanying drawing, given by way of example, represents several embodiments of the positive device, including a signaling lamp and a guarding device.

Fig. 1 is an electrical diagram of the generator.

Figs. 2 to 5 represent a signaling lamp of which FIG. 2 is a sectional elevation, taken along line II-II of FIG. 3; fig. 3, a plan section, taken along line III-III of FIG. 2; fig. 4, a side view of the signal lamp; and fig. 5, a plan view of FIG. 4.

Figs. 6 and 7 show a guarding device of which FIG. 6 is an elevational view; and fig. 7, a plan view of FIG. 6.

The pulse generator device comprises a battery of batteries 1 (fig. 1) of 12 V or 24 V, supplying a blocked oscillator 2, consisting of a transitron 3, connected, on the one hand, to a capacity 4 and to a resistor 5 whose time constancy determines the blocking period of the oscillator, and, on the other hand, to a transformer 6 with three windings at terminals 7 and 8 from which the alternating voltage is collected, for example 220 V , 400 periods.

In a first embodiment (Fig. 1 to 5), the pulse generator device is applied to a flashing signal lamp. This lamp is in the form of a luminous cylindrical terminal comprising at its upper part a tube 9, made of translucent material, which contains a neon lamp 10, of tubular shape. This lamp 10 is connected to terminals 7 and 8 of the high voltage winding 11 of transformer 6, the other two windings of said transformer being formed by a primary circuit 12 and by a feedback circuit 13.

The tube 9 is surmounted by a dome 14, also of translucent material, in which are housed a reflector 15 and a photoelectric cell 16, connected to the positive pole 17 of the battery of batteries 1 and to the base of the transition 3. Cell 16, sensitive to daylight and whose internal resistance varies according to the received luminous flux, produces a positive polarization of the base of transition 3 proportional to the luminous flux and, therefore, oscillator 2 is located blocked during the day and unblocked at night.

The electrical installation of the signal lamp is completed by a switch 18 and by a protection fuse 19, both connected to the negative pole 20 of the battery. The battery pack 1 as well as the blocked oscillator 2 are housed in the lower part of the tube 9, which is painted white over two thirds of its height, with fluorescent bands 21, red in color, to serve as a terminal bright. The tube 3 is, moreover, fixed to a base 22, of frustoconical shape, giving the necessary stability -à the terminal.

The flashing signal lamp is intended for the light signaling of public works sites in the countryside, when there is no electricity network or when the work carried out, of short duration, would entail too much cost for the installation of '' an electric pipe connected to the network.

The transition 3 operates as a blocked oscillator at a frequency determined by the self-induction of the winding 12, of approximately 400 periods. The assembly formed by the capacitance 4 and the resistor 5 has a time constant, for example one second, and determines the blocking period of the oscillator 2. The high voltage, ie approximately 220 V, collected at terminals 7 and 8 of the transformer winding 11, is used to illuminate the neon tube 10, which will turn on or off at the rate determined by the time constant 4 and 5.

The signal lamp operates as soon as the luminous flux received by cell 16 becomes insufficient to block oscillator 2. This operation is therefore entirely automatic and does not require manual switching on, thus avoiding the displacement of an employee on the various sites for switching off or switching on the signal lamp.

Among the main advantages of the signaling lamp described, it should be noted that it does not create radio interference due to the fact that the device has no mechanical contact liable to cause sparks which generate radio phonic interference.

Given the very high efficiency of about 80% of this type of mechanical contactless oscillator, the battery life is very long, the primary current of the latter not exceeding 20 mA to light a neon lamp current from 3 to 4 W.

In addition, the great robustness and the long duration of the transition make it possible to construct a signal lamp which requires practically no maintenance for many years, except the exchange of the batteries of batteries when they are exhausted. .

An electric capacity 23 could be inserted between the positive pole 17 (FIG. 1) of the battery 1 and the switch 18 to prevent the high frequency currents developed by the oscillating circuit from passing into the battery 1.

According to a variant, the signaling lamp described in the first embodiment could also serve as a flashing light to signal a danger during a road accident requiring a police report. The operation of this lamp is the same as that of the light terminal, except for the photoelectric cell 16 which would be eliminated, the switching on and off of the lamp being effected by means of the switch 18.

In a second embodiment (fig. 1, 6 and 7), the pulse generator device according to the invention is applied to an automatic guarding device for animals grazing in the fields.

By eliminating the photoelectric cell 16 (fig. 1), it emerges from the electric diagram that, when the switch 18 is closed, a high voltage and very low intensity current is produced at terminals 7 and 8 of transformer 3. .

The guarding apparatus consists of a cylindrical pile 24, made of galvanized iron, in which the battery of batteries 1 and the oscillator 2 producing the high voltage are housed. The pile 24 is provided at its base with a point 25 and a disc 26 fixed at a height of about 30 cm from its base, intended to drive the tire into the ground with the foot and to act as a blocking at the sinking of said pile. At its upper part, the pile is provided with two insulators 27 serving as terminals for the connection of an electrical conductor 28 connected to a series of insulated piles delimiting the grazing field of the animals.

By connecting the terminal 7 of the transformer 6 to the mass represented by the ground and the terminal 8 to the electrical conductor 28, supported by the insulated piles, the voltage emitted by the blocked oscillator will be applied to the circuit intermittently. As soon as an animal comes into contact with the wire, it receives an electric shock of very low intensity, therefore harmless, which will have the effect of moving it away from the guard limit.

The guarding device described is very robust owing to the fact that it does not include any mechanical contact liable to deteriorate by oxidation caused by the humidity of the air. Due to the long battery life of the device, the primary current consumption is only 1 to 2 mA. Thanks to the good performance conditions of this battery-powered device, the use of accumulator batteries requiring periodic recharging and costly maintenance is avoided. Finally, the guarding device, like the signaling lamp of the first embodiment, does not cause radio phonic disturbances.
