The present invention relates to a time-setting rocker for a timepiece, intended to cooperate with a sliding pinion in order to bring the latter alternately. meshed with a winding pinion and with a time-setting reference.
In waterproof cases especially, the winding stem is put in place when the movement is fitted and the dial has already been placed. The winding stem is then made to penetrate through the winding pinion and the sliding pinion. As these parts are no longer visible, it frequently happens, during this handling, that the sliding pinion comes out of the lever. By its groove, it pivots around the barley grain (rounded end) of the rocker and is placed perpendicular to the axis of the rod, and this happens all the more frequently as the length of the sliding pinion is closer of its diameter.
It is then necessary to disengage the movement, remove the dial and the hands to put the sliding pinion back in its correct position; this is costly additional work.
The aforementioned pivoting of the sliding pinion is made possible by the fact that, on the side of the bridges, the sliding pinion is generally retained in height, but that on the side of the plate, there is the void of the mechanism entry. The object of the present invention is to remedy the above-mentioned drawback. To this end, the rocker has a bearing surface for the sliding pinion, intended to be placed near the latter, on the side of the plate, this bearing surface having a projection shaped to engage in the groove of the sliding pinion for controlling the movements of the latter. This bearing surface maintains the sliding pinion in the correct position.
The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing this latch, which is characterized in that the latch is cut and simultaneously forms said projection, integrally with the latch.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the time-setting latch, object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of this form. execution, in the reassembly position.
Fig. 2 is a similar view in the time-setting position.
Fig. 3 is a section perpendicular to the axis of the winding stem, passing through the groove of the sliding pinion, along the line 111- 11l of FIG. 2.
Only what is necessary for understanding the invention has been shown in the drawing. On a square of the winding stem 1 is slidably mounted a sliding pinion 2 having a peripheral groove or groove 3 and capable of being brought into engagement either with the winding pinion 4, or with the setting reference. hour 5.
A time-setting rocker 6, pivoting at 7 in the plate 8, is used to control the axial movements of the sliding pinion 2. The rocker 6 has a bearing surface 9 for the sliding pinion 2, located immediately above. of the sliding pinion 2 on the side of the plate 8, as close to the sliding pinion 2 as the function allows, that is to say with a clearance of 0.05 to 0.1 mm. The bearing surface 9 re covers the sliding pinion 2 as perfectly as possible. In the winding position (fig. 1), lever 6 is at 0.2 - 0.3 mm from the winding pin 4 and in the time-setting position (fig. 2) at 0.2 - 0 , 3 mm from the return 5.
Thus, the sliding pinion 2 is housed between two parallel surfaces, namely the bearing surface 9 of the lever 6 and the surface 10 of the bridge 11, and can no longer tilt.
To act on the sliding pinion 2 and move it in the axial direction, the rocker 6 has a projection 12 carried by the bearing surface 9 and engaged in the groove 3 of the sliding pinion 2. The projection 12 comes in one piece. with rocker 6, by simultaneous cutting and stamping. Generally, this projection 12 is of cylindrical shape and of length greater than the thickness of the rocker 6; also, so that it is sufficiently strong, it is reinforced on either side of the same diameter, by a rib 13, in the form of a triangle, connecting it to the lever 6. Thus the projection 12 is rounded so vant the axis of the winding stem 1 and reinforced in the direction perpendicular to this axis.
