Description

Board formed from strips In the case of cladding, wall cladding and floors that are made of solid wood, the boards are usually laid individually at the construction site.

This method has the disadvantage that the boards can warp, warp or shrink, that unevenness and joints arise in the finished flooring, and that assembly is time-consuming.

The invention relates to a plate which is formed from individual strips connected to one another and which has incisions on at least one side. Depending on the material and design, this plate can be used instead of boards, e.g. B. cladding as formwork panel, wall covering, ceiling or floor covering, are used. Compared to boards, it has the advantage that the shrinkage of the wood is distributed over the individual strips in such a way that there are no disruptive joints, that the material can be used completely, that thinner coverings are possible, and that the larger surfaces can be laid more quickly.

The plate according to the invention is characterized in that connecting means are provided for connecting the strips, which consist of flexible parts which are suitable for bonding at least on the outer circumference and are pressed and glued into the incisions, the connecting means are designed so that they can absorb tensile forces. The drawing shows some embodiments of the subject matter of the invention and variants.

1 shows a plate in cross section, FIGS. 2 to 6 each have a plate in cross section, FIG. 7 shows the plate according to FIG. 1 in longitudinal section, FIG. 8 shows a variant of the plate in longitudinal section, FIG. 9 the Underside of the plate according to FIG. 1, FIG. 10 the underside of the variant according to FIG. B.

Fig. 1 shows a plate 1, which consists of strips 2 loosely placed next to one another, the fiber direction of which runs in the longitudinal direction of the strips. The strips are usually obtained by cutting planed boards on multi-blade circular saws into strips whose width corresponds to the thickness of the boards used.

The plate according to FIGS. 1, 7 and 9 has sections 3 extending transversely to the fiber direction. These incisions are usually milled into the strips, which are laid out and clamped next to one another on a work surface with the underside up, using a linearly movable hand-held circular saw at intervals of 25 to 50 cm and have a cross-section of 2 to 4 mm in width and width Depth on.

Cords 4 of 2 to 4 mm 0, z. B. made of plant or synthetic fibers, soaked with glue, pressed into the incisions 3 and glued. These cords can absorb the tensile forces used to hold the strips together. This creates a plate that z. B. for cladding, as wall, ceiling and floor covering.

Fig. 2 shows a plate with strips 5 and strips 6 of lesser thicknesses between them. This gives the panels a relief effect, which also has a favorable acoustical effect in the case of greater differences in thickness and is suitable for wall and ceiling coverings.

Fig. 3 shows a plate with strips 7, which are provided with a fold 8 at the same time as the cutting. This is used for inconspicuous nailing on wall and ceiling panels and for creating a plastic and decorative effect.

4 shows a plate with strips 9 which have a fold on the underside which can narrow downwards. In the case of glued-on coverings, it serves to improve the adhesion of the binder.

5 shows a plate with strips 10, which have ridges 11 on the right side and corresponding grooves or grooves 12 on the left side. The combs are milled in at the same time as the strips are cut, the grooves can be milled or pressed in by means of grooved feed rollers. The effect is that the strips are pre-pressed and the joints remain tight. With bar widths of z. B. 25 mm, combs 2 to 3 mm deep, so that the loss of wood remains very low.

Fig. 6 shows a plate whose strips 13 are provided on the edges with milled or rolled-in grooves 14 which have the purpose of absorbing the movement of the wood by applying a certain elastic pressure on the edges and keeping the joints tight.

In addition to the examples shown, the plates can also, for. B. to achieve a relief effect so that the strips have a cross-section with not perpendicular to each other boundary lines and z. B. represents a triangle or a trapezoid. To hold the bars together, the following other connecting means can be used instead of the aforementioned cords 4. B. 2 to 3 wires twisted together with a cord to form a cable who the. The wires take on the tensile stress, the cord the adhesive bond with the wood.

For the latter purpose, a sheathing of the wires, e.g. B. made of plastic. Furthermore, strands can be used, which consist of glue capable gem plastic, which itself can absorb a train load.

FIG. 8 shows the longitudinal section and FIG. 10 the underside of a plate 15, the strips of which are connected with a connecting means made of a wavy, ribbed, rolled metal wire 16 which is provided with an adhesive surface layer. In this Ausfüh tion, as with the use of twisted metal wires, through the corrugated surface of the lanyard apart from the bond, a mechanical anchoring in the wood is caused because the protruding parts are pressed into the side and bottom of the cuts.

The connecting means are usually chosen somewhat stronger than the A sections, they are pressed into the same, for. B. by knocking in or rolling in. In addition to impregnation with glue when using thermophastic over trains or sheaths of the connecting means, the bonding can also be achieved by heating the same.

If rigid plates are to be achieved for certain purposes, the connec tion means can be seen on both sides of the same. Furthermore, these can also serve decorative effects, e.g. B. to field divisions on the visible surface who used the.

The plates shown can be made of cheap material such. B. from the remaining pieces from the cutting of boards, such as cuts, rinds and splinters, like from normal lumber. The strips can go through the entire length of the board or consist of short pieces with staggered butt joints. By combining different types of wood and the options for profiling, versatile aesthetic effects and uses are possible.

Instead of strips made of sawn wood, strips which are formed by sections and strips that arise in the production or processing of fiberboard, chipboard or plywood panels can be used.

After pressing in the connection medium, the plates can immediately be processed further, z. B. planed, sanded and provided with impregnations, paints and surface protection agents, so that this treatment can be carried out efficiently in larger surface units at the place of manufacture and no further processing of the surface is necessary at the construction site.
