The present invention relates to a heel of a lady's shoe, known as the Louis XV heel.
This heel is characterized in that it comprises an upper part made of wood permanently fixed to the shoe, a metal socket having, at its upper part, a bottom through which a member for fixing said socket to said upper part passes and a heel pad, provided with means which engage in the lower part of the socket and ensure, in a removable manner, the attachment of the heel to the socket.
In order to avoid any rotation of the metal sleeve relative to the upper wooden part, one or more substantially horizontal grooves can be provided in the wood, at the junction with the sleeve, and, on this sleeve, one or more ribs s 'engaging in this or these gorges.
An embodiment of the heel according to the present invention is described below, by way of example, and is shown, by way of example, also in the accompanying drawing, in which FIG. 1 is a section; fig. 2 is a view in elevation, the various parts being half assembled; fig. 3 is a perspective view of a variant of the heel; and fig. 4 is a perspective view of another variant.
The heel comprises a curved wooden part 1, permanently fixed to the shoe, a metal sleeve 2, for example made of aluminum, duralumin, etc., also curved, and a heel 3 with a rod 4 made of rubber or plastic.
The sleeve 2 has a perforation 5 the bottom of which is drilled so as to receive a screw 6 intended to connect the sleeve to the wooden part and the head of which rests on the bottom of the perforation 5. The heel 3 is integral with the rod 4 of elastic material with a diameter slightly greater than that of the perforation 5, so as to allow the rod 4 to be inserted into the perforation 5 with a slight force. The depression is made until the heel 3 is in contact with the edge of the sleeve 2. It is obvious that the rod 4 could be threaded and engage in a corresponding internal thread of the sleeve 2.
The heel 3 may have the shape of the section of the sleeve 2 at its lower end. It can also have a circular shape.
The heel will be covered with a suitable material, for example soft leather or glued fabric. In fig. 3, the heel 3 which may have a shape corresponding to the end of the sleeve and which may be of any material, carries two leaf springs 12, - 13 which move away from each other more and more more the further away from the heel pad.
These blades are introduced inside the socket by bringing the outer ends of the blades together and the heel pad is pushed against the edge of the socket. By their tendency to move apart, the leaf springs ensure good fixation of the heel. To remove it, you just need to pull on it.
In the variant of FIG. 4, the net heel 3 is provided with a threaded rod 14. On the other hand, the sleeve has, at its lower part, an internal thread which corresponds to the thread of the rod 14. To put the .talonnette in place, it It suffices to screw the rod 14 into the socket and, to remove it, unscrewing is carried out.
