Description
Le dessin représente, à titre d'exemple, quelques formes de réalisation du dispositif suivant l'invention Les fig. 1 et 3, d'une part, 2 et 4, d'autre part, sont respectivement des vues en perspec tive et en coupe longitudinale de chacune des bagues dans une forme d'exécution particulière du dispositif ; la fig. 5 représente la phase finale du mon tage du dispositif ; la fig. 6 est une coupe longitudinale du dis positif, en place ;
Device for the leaktight connection of a plastic pipe The present invention relates to a device for the leaktight connection of a plastic pipe.
It is characterized by an outer ring having a cylindrical bore corresponding to the outer diameter of the pipe and whose inner wall has cavities and by an inner ring whose bore is also cylindrical and equal to the inner diameter of the pipe, and whose wall outer has a cylindrical part and a slightly tapered part at one of its ends, the end of the plastic pipe being compressed between the inner part of the outer ring and the outer wall of the inner ring, so that plastic material is forced back into said cavities and that the cross section of the liquid stream which circulates in said pipe remains constant.
The drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the device according to the invention. FIGS. 1 and 3, on the one hand, 2 and 4, on the other hand, are respectively views in perspective and in longitudinal section of each of the rings in a particular embodiment of the device; fig. 5 represents the final phase of the assembly of the device; fig. 6 is a longitudinal section of the positive device, in place;
figs. 7, 8 and 9 are a perspective view and a longitudinal sectional view of the outer ring, and a longitudinal sectional view of the inner ring, of a device intended to be connected by means of a flange; figs. 10 to 12, 13 to 15 and 16 to 18 represent - three particular embodiments intended to be screwed.
The inner wall of the outer ring 1 has the shape of a cylinder whose diameter corresponds to the outer diameter of the plastic pipe 3. Said inner wall has circular grooves 4 (generally three or four).
The outer surface of the inner ring 2 has a slightly conical part 5, on one of its ends, and its inner diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the pipe 3. The diameter of the cylindrical outer wall of this ring 2 is necessarily between the outside diameter and the inside diameter of pipe 3:
The present device can have different particular embodiments so as to be connected in the same way as the usual devices in the different cases such as the junction of two pipes of the same diameter or of different diameters.
Connection of a. hose to a device (tap, meter, taps, heating, fountain device ...).
Connection of a pipe to elements such as tees, crosses, manifolds or devices of the same diameter or of different diameters.
Junction of a pipe to end or intermediate pieces (plugs, elbows, cones, sleeves, reducers, unions, nipples, articulated fittings).
The cross section of the liquid stream in the pipe 3 is not modified by the presence of the device.
The installation of the device comprises the following operations Cut the end of the pipe 3 squarely. Pass the outer ring 1 over the end of the pipe 3.
With a taper reamer, make a slight taper on the end of pipe 3 to prepare for engagement of the inner ring 2.
Engage the inner ring 2 without forcing into the end of the bored pipe 3 and start its insertion by force with one or two blows of the mallet.
Complete the forcing of the base 3 with a device of the hub puller type, such as the one shown in dotted lines at 6 in fig. 5.
To dismantle this device, it suffices to subject the inner ring 2 to the flame of a torch or a blow torch. Under the action of heat, said inner ring 2 releases itself partially, sufficiently so that it is possible to grip it with pliers to complete the release. Both rings 1 and 2 can be used again after such removal.
