Gerät zur Verhinderung des Schnarchens und Blasens beim Schlafen
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Gerät zur Verhinderung des Schnarchens und Blasens beim Schlafen, welches die eigentliche Ursache des Schnarchens durch sukzessive Zuführung von Medikamenten, insbesondere ätherischen Stoffen, wie Eukalyptusöl, Pinienöl, Fichtennadelöl, Po-Ho-Öl (eingetragene Marke), Pfefferminzöl usw., zu den Schleimhäuten des Rachens und der Nase beseitigt.
Zur Ermöglichung der sukzessiven Zuführung dieser Stoffe weist das Gerät einen für die Aufnahme und sukzessive Abgabe eines bei Einwirkung der Körperwärme verdunstenden Mediums eingerichteten Hohlkörper auf und ein lösbar an diesem angeschlossenes Mundstück mit einer Sicherungsplatte und einem Durchlass für den Austritt der Dämpfe des Mediums.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigt:

Das dargestellte Gerät zur Verhinderung des Schnarchens und Blasens beim Schlafen weist einen hohikugelförmigen Behälter 1 auf, welcher einen zylindrischen Hals ansatz 2 mit der Öffnung 3 aufweist. Der Behälter 1 enthält einen in ein bei Körperwärme langsam verdunstendes Mittel, insbesondere ätherisches Ö1 wie Pfefferminzöl, Eukalyptusöl, Pinienöl, Fichtennadelöl, Po-Ho-Öl usw. getränkten Wattebausch 4, welcher durch die Öffnung 3 des Halses 2 eingeführt ist. Der Behälter 1 mit Halsansatz 2 besteht aus Kunststoff. Der Hals des Behälters weist zwei kleine Lüftungsöffnungen 5 auf. 6 ist ein hohlkugelförmiges Mundstück aus Gummi, welches mit einem schlauchförmigen, elastisch dehnbaren Teil 7 versehen ist. Mit diesem schlauchförmigen Teil 7 ist das Mundstück an dem Hals 2 des Behälters 1 angeschlossen.
Das Ende des schlauchförmigen Teils 7 ist über den Hals 2 des Behälters 1 gestülpt, derart, dass die Öffnungen 5 gerade noch frei sind. Das hohlkugelförmige Mundstück 6 weist an einer dem schlauchförmigen Teil 7 gegenüberliegenden Stelle eine Öffnung 8 auf, welche den sukzessiven Austritt des verdunstenden Mediums gestattet. Auf den schlauchförmigen Teil 7 des Mundstückes 6 ist eine ovale Sicherungsplatte 9 aufgesteckt, durch welche verhindert wird, dass der das Mundstück 6 im Munde haltende Schläfer das Gerät verschlucken kann.
Beim Gebrauch des Gerätes ist darauf zu achten, dass die Lüftungslöcher 5 frei liegen, das heisst nicht vom schlauchförmigen Teil 7 verdeckt sind. Das kugelförmige Mundstück 6 liegt in der Mundhöhle, so dass die in demselben befindliche Luft zu der in einem ätherischen Ö1 getränkten Watte gelangt, wodurch das Medium langsam verdunstet und durch die Austrittsöffnung 8 in die Mundhöhle, Luftröhre sowie auch zu den Nasenschleimhäuten gelangt. Ein Teil des verdunstenden Mediums kann durch die öffnungen 5 austreten und gelangt beim Einatmen durch die Nase ebenfalls zu den Nasenschleimhäuten.
Durch die Einwirkung des Mediums auf die Schleimhäute werden die Atmungswege frei und somit auch die Ursachen des Blasens und Schnarchens beim Schlafen beseitigt.
Bei Nichtgebrauch des Gerätes wird der Teil 7 des Mundstückes auf dem Hals 2 so verschoben, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen 5 verdeckt werden. Das Gerät wird sodann mit seinem Mundstück 6 in ein als Zubehör des Gerätes dienendes Aufbewahrungsgefäss 10 eingesteckt, dessen Öffnung durch die Si cherungsplatte 9 abgeschlossen wird. Auf diese Weise wird verhindert, dass das Medium unnötig verdunstet.

To enable the successive supply of these substances, the device has a hollow body set up for the intake and successive release of a medium that evaporates when exposed to body heat and a releasably connected mouthpiece with a safety plate and a passage for the escape of the medium's vapors.

The device shown for preventing snoring and blowing while sleeping has a hollow spherical container 1, which has a cylindrical neck extension 2 with the opening 3. The container 1 contains a cotton ball 4 soaked in an agent that slowly evaporates at body heat, in particular essential oil such as peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, pine oil, spruce needle oil, Po-Ho oil, etc., which is inserted through the opening 3 of the neck 2. The container 1 with the neck 2 is made of plastic. The neck of the container has two small ventilation openings 5. 6 is a hollow spherical mouthpiece made of rubber, which is provided with a tubular, elastically stretchable part 7. With this tubular part 7, the mouthpiece is connected to the neck 2 of the container 1.
The end of the tubular part 7 is slipped over the neck 2 of the container 1 in such a way that the openings 5 are just barely free. The hollow spherical mouthpiece 6 has an opening 8 at a point opposite the tubular part 7, which opening allows the evaporating medium to exit successively. An oval securing plate 9 is attached to the tubular part 7 of the mouthpiece 6, which prevents the sleeper holding the mouthpiece 6 in the mouth from swallowing the device.
When using the device, make sure that the ventilation holes 5 are exposed, that is, are not covered by the tubular part 7. The spherical mouthpiece 6 lies in the oral cavity so that the air in it reaches the cotton wool soaked in an essential oil, whereby the medium slowly evaporates and passes through the outlet opening 8 into the oral cavity, trachea and the nasal mucous membranes. Part of the evaporating medium can exit through the openings 5 and, when inhaled, also reaches the nasal mucous membranes through the nose.
The effect of the medium on the mucous membranes clears the respiratory tract and thus eliminates the causes of blowing and snoring while sleeping.
When the device is not in use, the part 7 of the mouthpiece is moved on the neck 2 in such a way that the ventilation openings 5 are covered. The device is then inserted with its mouthpiece 6 into a storage vessel 10 serving as an accessory for the device, the opening of which is closed by the safety plate 9. This prevents the medium from evaporating unnecessarily.
