Description

  Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple,  deux formes d'exécution de la lame selon l'inven  tion.    La     fig.    1 est une section développée de la lon  gueur d'une tôle perforée destinée à constituer après  pliage la première forme d'exécution;  la     fig.    2 est une coupe suivant la     ligne        II-II    de  la     fig.    1 ;  la     fig.    3 est une coupe suivant la ligne     III-III     de la     fig.    1 ;  La     fig.    4 est une vue de bout de cette     forme     d'exécution ;

    la fig. 5 est une coupe suivant la ligne V-V de la fig. 4 ; la fig. 6 est une coupe suivant la ligne VI,VI de la fig. 4 ; la fig. 7 est une vue partielle en perspective de cette forme d'exécution ; la fig. 8 est une coupe transversale de la seconde forme d'exécution.

  Saw blade The usual saw blades are formed by a flat iron on one of its edges. The teeth can have various shapes, and a slight twist of the teeth alternately in opposite directions provides the necessary path for the passage of the blade.

  To ensure the sawing of a workpiece, the saw blade must be given a reciprocating motion of sufficient amplitude so that any working teeth come out of this workpiece at the end of the saw line, so that the sawdust is released. of the slit made by the saw. Therefore, for sawing large parts, for example for sawing a tree trunk, the saw blade must have a great length, greater than double the diameter of the tree and the sawing work is tiring, given the amplitude that must be given to the blade.

   When the saw is mechanically controlled, this large sawing amplitude also requires a large radius of the eccentric device, which transforms the continuous rotational movement of the motor shaft into reciprocating motion.

  The present invention relates to a saw blade, characterized in that it is formed of a hollow metal body in which have been cut, along a longitudinal axis, perforations each limiting transversely to this axis two opposite planing teeth, and parallel to this axis, opposite scribing teeth, and in that the shape of the hollow body is such that its maximum width corresponds to the interval between the two lines of scribing teeth.

  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the blade according to the invention. Fig. 1 is a section developed along the length of a perforated sheet intended to constitute the first embodiment after folding; fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1; fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III of FIG. 1; Fig. 4 is an end view of this embodiment;

    fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of FIG. 4; fig. 6 is a section taken along line VI, VI of FIG. 4; fig. 7 is a partial perspective view of this embodiment; fig. 8 is a cross section of the second embodiment.

  In its first embodiment, the saw blade is formed from a strip of sheet metal 1 (FIG. 1) with a width a little greater than twice that which the finished saw blade must have. Along the center line of this strip, perforations 2 are stamped along a contour suitable for forming teeth. On each of the sides parallel to the center line, cutting a perforation releases a triangular tooth 3 projecting inside the die cut. The triangular teeth 3 are intended to form lateral scribing teeth after the blade is bent.

   The other two sides 4 of the cutout may be straight or slightly concave inward and are intended, in the folded blade, to form the leading edges of planing teeth 5 formed by the material remaining between the perforations. Round clearances 6 clearly separate the profiles of the teeth 3 and 5 and make it possible to perform bevels 7 and 8 by grinding, giving the edge of the teeth a cutting angle. Teeth 3 and 5 can, moreover, be slightly curved during stamping to give their cutting edge the desired angle of attack, as will be seen below.

  The strip thus prepared is folded along two parallel longitudinal lines passing approximately at the end of the cutting edges 4 and cutting the teeth 3 as shown by line III-III in FIG. 1, but the folding only concerns the blade parts included between the perforations. After this folding, a hollow blade is obtained, the section of which can be seen in FIG. 4 has the shape of a very flattened triangle. In this section, the small base is occupied by teeth 3 and 5, and the sides 9 of the section are formed by the sheet metal widths on either side of the perforations. The blade is then subjected to the usual heat treatments of quenching and annealing.

  The formed hollow blade is triangulated and rigid. The teeth 3 during bending accompany the sides of the strip and are placed approximately in their extension. They therefore occupy lateral positions: they are the scribing teeth. The teeth 5 on the contrary, which are formed by the interval between the perforations, constitute the ra botage teeth. It can be seen in particular in FIGS. 5 and 6 the curve 10 or 11 which can be given to the scribing teeth 3 as well as to the planing teeth 5 to ensure them the desired angle of attack.

   It can also be seen in FIG. 6 that the scribing teeth 3 protrude slightly below the planing teeth 5.

  When such a blade is used, the scribing teeth 3, the most protruding, attack the material to be sawed first and cut lateral slots which limit the path of the blade. The planing teeth 5 act in the interval. Each time the blade moves, deepening said slots, they lift the material between them. The blade cuts in both directions of its native alter movement and the sawdust or small chips formed by the scribing teeth 3 and the planing teeth 5 are picked up by the latter and enter through the perforations 2 into the channel 12 inside the saw.

      It is therefore sufficient to ensure sawing that the teeth perform a reciprocating movement of very small amplitude, however greater than the pitch of the teeth.

  The sawdust is eliminated from the channel inside the blade, either by progression due to inertia, or by blowing; in particular, in a mechanical saw, it is possible to provide for the blowing, for example, by means of the exhaust gases of the engine controlling the blade, in the case of a gasoline engine.

  Of course, the hollow blade could be obtained naked in other ways. Fig. 8 gives an example. In this second embodiment, the blade is formed by a strip of sheet metal 13 welded along a generatrix to a tube 14, in which the cutouts form both the tracing teeth 15 and intermediate planing teeth 16. between the two rows of scribing teeth. The shapes of the teeth could be other than those shown.
