Description

Pipe connection The present invention relates to a pipe connection.

Known pipe connections have two coaxial sleeves which are mutually rotatable bar and mutually limited axially displaceably connected to each other.

In such pipe connections, one sleeve has an external thread and the other has an internal thread, which has not proven successful.

According to the present invention, both sleeves each have an internal thread.

In the accompanying drawing, a pipe connection according to the invention is shown in an execution example.

The pipe connection shown in axial section has a cylindrical sleeve 1 made of metal or plastic, one end of which is provided with an internal thread 2. Subsequently to the thread 2 be the sleeve 1 sits a part 3, the inner diameter of which is greater than that of the internal thread 2. The part 3 is closed at its free end by an inwardly directed edge bead 4.

The pipe connection has a second sleeve 5 which is coaxial with the sleeve 1 and is provided over part of its length with an internal thread 6, to which a part 7 with a smaller external diameter is connected. A bead 8 with a larger diameter than the outer diameter of the part 7 is located in part 3 of the sleeve 1. In this way, the two sleeves 1 and 5 are mutually rotatable and mutually connected to one another in an axial direction to a limited extent.

The pipe connection described can be used to connect a pipe to an apparatus housing, an electrical switch box, a distributor housing and the like, which have a threaded connection nipple which is inserted or screwed into the housing or the box. The pipe connection also allows two pipe ends to be connected.
