Motor vehicle headlight with anti-glare device The present invention relates to a motor vehicle headlight with anti-glare device.
This lighthouse is characterized in that said device comprises, on the one hand, a visor mounted between the glass and the reflector of the lighthouse and intended to intercept the ascending light rays reflected by the reflector and, on the other hand, a member attached to said visor so as to be disposed in front of the bulb of said headlight so as to hide its filament.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, four embodiments of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a front elevational view of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view along II-II of FIG. 1.
Figs. 3, 4 and 5 are views similar to FIG. 1 of each of the other three embodiments respectively.
The lighthouse shown in fig. 1 and 2 comprises a reflector 1 in the center of which an electric bulb 2 is mounted in a socket 3 inserted in a corresponding hole 4 of the reflector 1. A window 5, consisting of a blade bent at right angles, is fixed to the upper edge reflector 1 above and in front of bulb 2, and a convex lens 6 is mounted between the free edges of reflector 1 and those of visor 5.
A hemispherical-shaped screen 7, mounted on a tab 8 fixed to the visor 5, partially envelops the front part of the bulb 2, so as to hide the filament of the bulb from a conductor coming in the opposite direction in holding his right. A slice of the upper part of this screen 7 is cut out so that the right edge of the road is a little more illuminated.
Simultaneously, the visor 5 intercepts the light rays reflected in an upward direction by the reflector, so that, in the event of fog, these upward light rays do not interfere with the driver of the vehicle fitted with such a headlight and that of the headlamp. an oncoming vehicle. To avoid any undesirable reflection of the light rays by the visor 5 or the screen 7, the latter are blackened or made opaque in any other way on their face exposed to said rays.
In the second embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the screen partially enveloping the front part of the bulb 2 consists of two concave parts 9 and 10 welded or fixed by any other method to each other and fixed to the tongue 8 so as to hide the filament of bulb 2 while leaving the upper right slice of this last discovery.
In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the screen is formed by a section 11 of the semi-spherical cap shown in FIG. 1, including the angle between the planes. longitudinal limits limiting this slice is at most equal to 950, and masking only the filament and the upper left part of the bulb 2.
In the fourth embodiment shown in FIG. 5, a prism 12 arranged in front of the bulb 2 masks the filament of the latter and disperses towards the edges of the reflector 1 the light rays emitted towards the front of the headlight by this filament.
The visor and the screen can be made, for example, of metal, plastic, etc.
