Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Spectacle frame with removable lenses The present invention relates to a spectacle frame with removable lenses.

This frame is characterized by the fact that it comprises two frames, advantageously filiform, welded by their ends to the rear face of the part of the frame carrying the branches, said frames constituting, with said rear face, two guides for tightening the straps. of glasses, said straps comprising a groove on their rear face, in which each of said frames is housed.

The glasses thus produced can be easy to manufacture since they only require the addition by welding of two parts on the rear face of conventional frames and, moreover, seen from the front, they can be perfectly aesthetic without showing any elements of the assembly thus defined.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the frame forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a top view of the frame in its left part.

Fig. 2 is a top view of the corresponding left circled glass.

Fig. 3 is a view of the rear face of the glass circled on the right.

Fig. 4 is a partial side perspective of a frame without lens, seen in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1. In the embodiment shown, we see at 1 the frame, at 2 the left arm of the glasses, and at 3 and 4 the lens rims.

The frame comprises two symmetrical filiform frames 5, welded to the rear face of the frame 1, at points such as 5a and 5b. These frames are folded over and curved so that they are in the part between their ends substantially parallel to the part of the frame carrying the branches. In the space between these frames and this part of the frame is introduced, and tightened with slight forcing, the rim of the lenses, each rim being advantageously provided, on its rear face, with a groove such as 8a and 4a in which slides the corresponding frame 5.

The outer end of each frame advantageously comprises a profiling curved towards the rear as shown more specifically in FIG. 4, this profiling being intended to facilitate the introduction of the strapping of the corresponding glass before the frame comes to engage in the groove of the strapping.
