Description
Durch das mögliche einfache Trennen der ver bundenen Kabel ist eine grosse Zeitersparnis beim Aufsuchen von Fehlern und beim Beheben von Störungen gewährleistet. Verschnitte von Kabeln sinken auf ein Minimum. In der Zeichnung, die ein Ausführungsbeispiel darstellt, bedeuten: 1 der Metallkasten, welcher durch einen rostverhindernden Überzug geschützt ist; 2 die Türe, welche vermittels der Dichtung 3 hermetisch abgeschlossen wird; 4 die Stützisolatoren, auf welchen Schraub- oder Klemmvorrichtungen angebracht sind, die den Kontakt zwischen den Kabelleitern her stellen; 5 die Erdleiterschraube für den Null- oder Erdleiter; 6 die Erdklemme zum Erden der me tallischen Ummantelung; 7 die Kabelenden;
Cable connection and junction box Connections or branches of two or more high-voltage cables have been made in cable connection and branch sleeves. The lead-sheathed cables or jute-sheathed cables were hermetically sealed after the connection in these sleeves, in that the sleeves were completely filled with insulating compound. This filling with insulating compound takes a lot of time and does not allow a subsequent, easy separation of the cables.
For the plastic cables without oil pressure (polytene and polyethylene cables, etc.) that are used more and more today, there are no sleeves developed for this and the cables were cast in using the usual systems.
The present invention is a connection and junction box for electrical cables without oil pressure with plastic insulation, which is characterized in that insulators are provided inside the box, on which such connecting organs are arranged for the cable ladder that they are easily separated at any time can be.
Short pieces of cable can also be used by interposing such boxes. If two cables are connected to one another, this is done using a junction box; If three or more cables are connected to one another, this is done using a junction box.
The boxes are expediently designed in such a way that all live parts as well as the isolated parts can be easily replaced.
The fact that the connected cables can be separated easily saves a lot of time when looking for errors and when troubleshooting. Cable waste is reduced to a minimum. In the drawing showing an embodiment: Fig. 1 shows the metal box which is protected by a rust preventive coating; 2 the door, which is hermetically sealed by means of the seal 3; 4 the post insulators on which screw or clamping devices are attached, which make contact between the cable ladders; 5 the earth screw for the neutral or earth conductor; 6 the ground clamp for grounding the metallic sheath; 7 the cable ends;
8 the cable entries (stuffing boxes), with 8 11I-8 V used for branching cables; 9 lower ventilation holes; 10 upper, protected ventilation holes. From the drawing it can be seen that bringing stuffing boxes to the lower side wall of the junction box makes a junction box.
However, it can be imagined that two cables are introduced into the box on the same side wall, the other walls are free and are provided with one or more glands.
As an additional seal, the stuffing boxes can be filled from the outside with a sealing compound.
The described box can also be used to connect low-voltage cables (for example Tdc cables).
