Sieving device, in particular for sieving dry dust-like substances For sieving dry substances of very small grain size, such as coal dust and the like, sieving devices with flat mesh screens have proven to be useful. A suction fan is usually connected to the downstream side of the mesh sieve in order to suck the substances to be sieved through the sieve. It has been shown, however, that such a sieve device no longer works satisfactorily after a short time, mainly with small mesh sizes of the sieve, because the sieve quickly becomes clogged.
In order to prevent this clogging of fine sieves, attempts have been made to keep the mesh screen constantly in reciprocating motion by means of a vibrator. The sieve vibrated in this way gives a certain improvement; If the mesh size is reduced by the order of magnitude to a few hundredths of a millimeter, these measures also fail. On the other hand, purely mechanically acting scrapers or brushes, which grind on the upper side of the sieve, result in high wear, especially of the fine-meshed sieves.
The present invention relates to a sieve device with a flat mesh screen, in particular for screening dry, dusty substances, in which a suction fan is connected to the downstream side of the mesh screen to suck the substances to be screened through the mesh screen. The above briefly explained shortcomings of the previously known Siebvorrich lines of this type are remedied according to the invention in that a wiping device which acts pneumatically during operation and is moved over the screen surface is attached above the task side of the mesh screen located above, by means of which an air flow directed towards the mesh screen is attached is produced,
in order to stir up the substances lying on the mesh screen in zones that slowly migrate over the screen surface and to allow them to be deposited again on the mesh screen outside these zones.
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention is shown schematically in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows the sieve device in a longitudinal section and FIG. 2 shows a cross-section through the jet pipe of the wiper device according to line 2 on a scale enlarged several times compared to FIG -2 in Fig. 1.
The suction nozzle 3 of a non-illustrated suction fan has at its upper end a support flange 4 in which a clamping ring 5 is inserted. The mesh screen 6, which usually consists of a fine metal network, is stretched out and fastened in the clamping ring 5 in a manner known per se. On the clamping ring 5, the cylindrical jacket 7 of a housing that covers the mesh screen 6 is placed, the latter being closed airtight by means of a removable cover 8.
If necessary, between the flange 4 and the clamping ring 5, between the clamping ring 5 and the jacket 7 and between the cover 8 and the jacket 7, an unspecified sealing piece made of rubber or the like can be added. In the cover 8 a rotatable hollow shaft 9 is also mounted, the cavity at the upper end of the shaft mün det directly into the open atmosphere, while at its lower end a jet pipe 10 is attached, which is hard on the mesh screen 6, parallel to the same , extends.
The hollow shaft 9 is arranged perpendicular to the surface of the mesh sieve 6 and above its center, so that the jet pipe 10 is guided away when the hollow shaft 9 is rotated in a circular motion and in always the same distance over the entire surface of the Ma slide sieve 6. The jet pipe 10 has a slot-shaped air outlet opening 11 which expediently extends over the entire length of the jet pipe 10; the slot-shaped air outlet opening can also be replaced by a row of holes with a sufficiently small hole spacing.
The outlet opening 11 is placed in the jet pipe 10 in such a way that an air stream directed at a flat angle towards the surface of the mesh screen 6 is produced, as indicated by the arrow in FIG.
This air flow comes about because the suction fan sucks in air from the open atmosphere through the sieve 6, through the outlet opening 11, through the jet pipe 10 and through the hollow shaft 9. The outlet opening 11 is compared to the cross section of the jet pipe 10, the hollow shaft 9 and its inlet opening 12 dimensioned such that the air flow emerging in the direction of the arrow (FIG. 2) has a high speed and the dusty substances exposed on the mesh screen 6 able to whirl up vigorously.
The zone within which the whirling up of the sub lying on the screen surface occurs is now apparently determined by the respective position of the jet pipe 10; to allow this zone to wander away over the entire surface of the mesh screen 6, the hollow shaft 9 is rotated ver by means of a cable drive 13, 14, 15 by a motor 16 with gearbox slowly and at equal angular speed.
The substances to be sieved are fed to the interior of the housing 7, 8 through a suction tube 17, which is attached airtight in the cover 8, ends above half of the jet pipe 10 and opens near the bottom of a feed container 18, which has the shape of a bottom closed funnel (Fig. 1).
The immersed in the feed container 18 inlet or suction opening 19 of the suction tube 17 is narrowed compared to the opening in the housing 7, 8 Austrittsöff 20; it expediently only has such a large diameter that the largest grains of the substance to be sieved are no longer able to clog it and are sucked into the interior of the housing 7, 8.
Furthermore, the cross-sections of the suction pipe 17 and the suction opening 19 on the one hand and the hollow shaft 9, the jet pipe 10 and the slot-shaped outlet opening 11 on the other hand can be matched to one another in such a way that the suction pipe 17 sucks approximately that amount of substance from the container 18 that is from the mesh sieve 6 can just about be sieved.
But you can also make the delivery rate of the suction pipe 17 greater than the throughput of the Ma schensiebes 6; however, one then only has to feed as much substance per unit of time into the feed container 18 by means of a vibrated feed chute as this corresponds to the throughput of the mesh screen 6.
In this case, the entire amount of substance conveyed by the vibrated feed chute into the feed container 18 is immediately sucked off through the suction pipe 17, so that the feed container 18 is practically continuously emptied during the operation of the sieve device and air is also sucked in through the suction opening 19.
If the sieve device described is to be put into operation, the suction fan is first activated. This creates a negative pressure within the connection 3 and on the outlet side of the mesh screen 6, which draws air through the meshes of the mesh screen 6 from the interior space enclosed by the housing 7, 8. But also in the interior of the housing 7, 8 a slightly ge lower negative pressure will arise, which sucks air from the free atmosphere through the hollow shaft 9 and the jet pipe 10 of the wiper device on the one hand and through the suction pipe 17 and the feed hopper 18 on the other hand. By means of the motor 16, the pneumatic wiper device is then set in motion so that the jet pipe 10 rotates very slowly within the housing 7, 8, for example at about one revolution per second.
The air flow constantly emerging from the slot 11 thus sweeps practically the entire effective upper surface of the mesh screen 6. If the substance to be sieved is now fed to the task container 18, it is fed through the suction tube 17 into the housing 7, 8 and onto the feed side of the Mesh screen 6 sucks. Those particles of the substance to be screened that are smaller than the mesh size of the screen 6 pass through the mesh and are sucked off by the suction fan. The larger particles, however, remain ben on the surface of the screen 6 and accumulate.
The air jet emerging from the slot 11 whirls them up in a slowly migrating zone so that part of the top of the sieve 6 is always freshly cleaned and the fine dust-like particles supplied by the suction tube 17 can pass through the sieve mesh. The larger particles retained by the sieve 6 can thus cover at most a part of the entire top of the sieve, so that continuous sieving of the substances to be sieved is ensured.
Under certain circumstances it can be advantageous if the suction opening 12 of the hollow shaft 9 does not open into the open atmosphere, but is connected to the pressure port of a small fan, which additionally sucks in air and ejects it through the slot 11 into the interior of the housing 7, 8 . The amount of air conveyed through the hollow shaft 9 by this additional fan should be less than the amount of air that the suction fan provided with the suction nozzle 3 is able to promote; otherwise the suction pipe 17 would no longer be sucked in but blown out.
