Description

The present invention relates to a multi-storey parking installation for motor vehicles.

Known multi-storey parking facilities are generally served by elevators which are paralyzed by the slightest power failure, or by helical ramps, with more or less regular slopes, circular or flattened in shape; or by ramps comprising horizontal parts connected by helical elements, but all presenting drawbacks, the main ones of which are 1) requiring two stages per step, which leads either to deliberately losing a considerable volume, or to nest two propellers,

of the same slope and in this case requires the construction of an installation comprising at least four floors or multiples of four floors and not allowing entry or exit other than every two floors; 2) to impose land of very particular shape to ensure an acceptable use of these lands; 3) not to generally allow a large surface area of the propeller core to be used as a parking area. The purpose of the parking installation according to the present invention is to obviate these drawbacks.

It is characterized in that it comprises a continuous unidirectional rolling track comprising two sections of helical shape with a flattened core, the pitches of which are equal to the height of a stage but in opposite directions and the envelopes of which are surfaces with vertical generator, at least one communication channel connecting them to each other and. parking spaces being provided at least in the inner borough of said unidirectional track. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the installation forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a first embodiment.

Fig. 2 is a schematic elevational view of a variant on a terrain of very elongated rectangular shape.

Fig. 3 is a schematic top view of the installation shown in FIG. 2.

Fig. 4 is a schematic top view of a variant on a field of any shape. The installation shown in fig. 1 consists of a building comprising essentially two blocks of right parallelepiped shape 1 and 2, the first used for the climb, the second for the cente of motor vehicles.

Block 1, or ascent block, comprises a section of track 3 comprising a straight longitudinal part rising 4 starting from the zero point (entry level), followed by a transverse horizontal part of curve 5; part 5 is itself followed by a second rising straight longitudinal part 8 leading to a second transverse horizontal part 10. The height h of the horizontal part 10 is equal to that of a normal storey for this type of construction , while the intermediate transverse part 5 is located at mid-height h / 2.

Running track 3 continues from level h to level 2h following a route identical to that described above, that is to say including successively a longitudinal ascending part 11, a horizontal transverse part 12, a longitudinal part 13 and a horizontal transverse part 14 (level 2h), and so on to go from level 2h to level 3h up to the top (level nh).

The section 3 of the track thus produced constitutes an ascending aisle in the form of a helix, of pitch equal to h, of cylindrical casing with vertical generatrix.

The descent block 2 comprises a section of the cenders 15, of equal and opposite pitch, symmetrical with section 3 with respect to the vertical junction plane of the two blocks 1 and 2 connected to section 3 by a horizontal communication channel 16.

The transverse parts 10, 14, etc., of the ascending track section 3, which are traversed in the direction of the homologous transverse parts of the descending track section 15, are connected, at each of the levels h, 2h, ... , (n-1) h, by intermediate transverse communication channels 17.

On either side of the ascending tracks 3 or of the ash 15 as well as laterally outside the communication channels 17, parking spaces 18 of suitable surface are provided. The arrangement of the two blocks 1 and 2 is such that the spaces inside each of the helical sections 3 and 15 are entirely occupied by parking spaces 18a and 18b respectively. In addition, each bottom wall 19 of a parking location 18 is perpendicular to the side walls 20 of said location, this arrangement making it possible to obtain the maximum useful area for a given area of the land.

The parking installation described above may include one or more elevators-descenders (not shown) for use by the motorist, these elevators being advantageously arranged in place of one or more parking spaces having a useful surface area coefficient. low, for example in corners.

The use of the parking facility is as follows: at the entrance to the parking facility, the motorist is informed by a notice board or by a guard, on the most suitable parking space. close:

level and block for ascent or descent. He goes directly to this location by taking the ascending track section 3 to the desired level and, if the location is in the block of descent 2, passes through this block through the next higher communication path 17. to possibly resume the downlink 15 to the parking location indicated. When his car is parked,

he exits the parking facility by taking the nearest elevator or staircase. When picking up his vehicle, the motorist takes the downward lane 15 until the exit. If his vehicle was parked in the ascent block 1, he would take the first connecting lane 17 to join the downward lane 15.

The parking facility described above can be extended below the ground by a part as shown in the interrupted line in FIG. 1. It will be noted that in this case the parts of the track 21 and 22 which respectively extend downwards the ascending tracks 3 and descending 15 now have a reverse direction of travel and that consequently the connecting tracks transverse 23 in the basement connect pairs of sections 24 and 25 opposite to those which are connected in the parking part located above ground level.

The parking installation described above is particularly suited to a determined rectangular land; equivalent installations will adapt to any terrain, as shown by way of example in figs. 2 to 4.

According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the terrain being of very elongated rectangular shape, the longitudinal axes of the ascending 26 and descending rolling tracks 27 are arranged one at the end of the other and not parallel to one another as shown in the previous example. This simplifies the arrangement of the connection zones between the tracks 26 and 27, since the tracks come into the vicinity of one another near one of their ends.

According to the embodiment of FIG. 4, the land comprises two parts 28 and 29 diverging from one another from a common zone 30. On each part is arranged a block 31, 32, respectively of ascent and descent, with a track bearing adapted to the configuration of the land.

In this figure, the entrance to the installation of by cage is in 33 at zero level of the street 34, from this level, the track is in ascending slope on all or part of a circuit whose direction is indicated by arrows 35 to reach point 36 located at the level of the first floor.

At point 36 two lanes open to the automobi list. One descends in the direction of arrow 37 and follows the circuit marked by arrows 38.

The other rises to the second floor, following the path parallel to that indicated by the arrows 35 to go from the zero level of the street to that of the first floor.

When the motorist has completed the circuit of the second floor, he is at a point immediately plumb with point 36 and has in front of him again two possible lanes: one to descend to the first floor and from there to the exit and the other to go up to the third floor, and so on, as many times as the installation includes floors.

If the terrain, as indicated in broken lines, is too wide at 39 to be suitably served by the normal continuous route following arrows 35, then a series of secondary routes 40 can be provided, connected to portions of the route, in view of a surface of the cylindrical casing, limited by two generatrices, of the helical path of the main track.

In this way, it is possible to use practically all terrains of various shapes and which lend themselves poorly, or not at all, to the production of conventional cage installations. The installation described above has the following advantages 1) The driver does not use an elevator, and therefore electric current, to drive his car to its garage space.

  2) A single entry and an exit are sufficient for the installation, whatever the number of stages which constitute it and which can be any.

  3) The ascent to each floor is made by a single helical ramp whose pitch is equal to the height of this floor.

  4) The return to the ground is made by another ramp in the same way as the first one connected to this one on each floor and which can be oriented in horizontal projection in any position relative to the first.

  5) The helicoids thus defined, which can take any shape, and which can be oriented in any position with respect to one another, as it has just been said in 4) above above, allow you to use any form of terrain. 6) They allow the use of the entire surface of each floor of the installation apart from that necessary for the continuous one-way aisle of vehicle circulation, so that it is possible to park the cars of each side of a one-way circuit so that the entire area between the aisles can be completely covered with parked cars.

The installation described also leads to a particularly advantageous useful surface area to land area coefficient for a given height. Parking facilities have thus been created with a total floor area coefficient, including access and traffic lanes, divided by the number of parked cars, is 19 to 20 m2.

In addition to an upper communication path, connecting the ends of the two helical sections, the installation described comprises, as has just been said, intermediate communication paths on each floor. In this way, it is possible to switch to each floor, from one helical section to another, in the opposite direction without the motorist having to travel the entire unidirectional lane.
