Description

  Der Erfindungsgedanke ist nachstehend auf       Grund    eines in den Zeichnungen dargestellten Aus  führungsbeispiels     näher    erläutert. Es zeigt       Fig.    1 eine perspektivische Ansicht der     öffnungs-          und        Reinigungsmaschine,    worin die vordere Wand  zur Freilegung des Innern weggelassen wurde;       Fig.    2 eine perspektivische Ansicht der auf dem  Gehäuse montierten     Verstellvorrichtung    der     Abdeck-          platte    ;

Drum opener and cleaner The present invention relates to a drum opener and cleaner z. B. for fettling shops of a spinning company, with two parallel, occupied with rigid pins drum beaters, which are rotatably arranged in a housing closed from the environment over a grate.

There are already horizontal drum openers and cleaners become known, in which two housed in a housing, equipped with pins, parallel drums in the axial direction are fed pneumatically with fiber material and removed again.

Such drum openers have the disadvantage that at least shortly after entering, the fiber flocks pass the grate relatively few times because they pass a relatively steep helix with little to after being caught by the air flow rotating with the drums describe per drum length unit.

For this reason, the disintegration of the flakes does not reach the optimum degree, but also because the screw movement of the flakes is only insufficiently controlled by a deflector plate attached to the upper housing wall so that it can pivot about a longitudinal axis.

The present invention overcomes these disadvantages and is characterized in that a feed channel is provided for material transport near a front, vertical housing edge over the drum axes and a discharge channel is provided near the diagonally opposite rear housing edge. In one embodiment of the invention, the supply or discharge channel is arranged essentially perpendicular to the drum axes.

As a result, at least shortly after entry, there is a helical line with a small pitch and a larger number of opening and grate passages per drum length unit, which leads to better opening and cleaning. Furthermore, in this example, in the center plane parallel to the drum axes, a one-sided up to the striking circles reaching, perpendicular separating plate is provided, which increasingly moves away from the drum axes towards the rear.

This separating plate as a baffle ensures that the flakes from the feed channel hit almost vertically due to their inertia and fall down between the closely spaced percussion circles of the opposing drum pins, which causes them to open.

A cover plate adjustable on the partition plate in this example serves to adapt the size of the baffle and at the same time the strength and direction of the diagonal flow created by the pressure gradient between the inlet and outlet to the raw material conditions and the progressive opening process.

  The inventive concept is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment from shown in the drawings. 1 shows a perspective view of the opening and cleaning machine, in which the front wall has been omitted to expose the interior; FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the adjusting device of the cover plate mounted on the housing;

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the opener and cleaner with a pivotable, central cover plate from in the lowest position; 4 shows the same view with the cover plate in the uppermost position.

In a housing 1 that closes it off from the environment, two drums 3 and 4, which are equipped with pins 2 and rotate in the same direction, are mounted axially parallel in a known manner. The striking circles of the pins come close to one another, but without touching one another. Right at the front near a front vertical right edge of the housing, a feed channel 5 is easily seen, which is slightly higher than the axis of the drum 3 perpendicular to this on the housing 1.

The drums are provided with a grate 6 or 7 at the bottom, which takes on the usual functions as a waste separator. The drum 4 also surrounds a guide plate 8 adjoining the grate, which follows the percussion circle up to the highest point and from there extends to the center of the housing and which extends backwards over about 3/4 of the drum length. In the area of the end of the left drum 4 is near the rear edge of the housing, which is diagonally opposite the genann th front edge, a pulling channel 9 is connected, which in turn pulls off the opened and cleaned fiber material perpendicular to the drum axis.

The baffle 8 strikes in the middle of the housing against a vertical partition plate 10, which extends over the entire length of the drum and with the lower edge 11 at the front close to the two circles of impact, and then runs obliquely upwards to the rear.

Rests on the partition plate 10, on the side opposite the guide plate 8, a vertically adjustable cover plate 12, the lower edge 13 of which in the lowest extreme position comes together approximately with that of the lower edge 11 at the front and runs parallel to the drum axis. At the rear housing wall, the drive and storage of a drum are still indicated, but they can be of any type.

On the housing 1, an adjustment mechanism is built up on two carriers 14 and 15 (FIG. 2). The cover plate 12 pushes up through a slot 16 in the housing 1 and is connected to a rail 17 on which two spindles 18 and 19 are rotatably mounted and axially secured. The spindles 18 and 19 are guided through the carrier and each via an angular gear 20 and 21 with a common shaft 22, at the end of which a hand wheel 23 is attached for adjustment. A support 24 carries the shaft 22 secured by an adjusting ring 25.

A simplified variant of an adjustable cover is shown in Fig. 3 and 4, which all things does not work continuously. A substantially triangular cover plate 26 is suspended in the vicinity of the deepest point of the fixed partition plate 10 rotatably. In its lower extreme position, the lower edge 27 lies parallel to the slot 16 and thus to the drum axes. The tip 28 of the plate 26 extends beyond the slot 16 in this position.

A short pin 29 is used to hold it in place and is inserted into a suitable hole in a row of holes lying on an arc around the center of rotation. The upper extreme position is shown in FIG. 4.

The mode of operation is as follows: The fiber material pneumatically conveyed by a pressure gradient leaves the feed channel 5 and flies against the front part of the separating plate 10 or its cover plate 12 or 26, impacts there and falls between the beating circles of drums 3 and 4. Since at this point the pins 2 of the left drum 4 move upwards, those on the right move downwards, the fiber flocks are torn apart with a part upwards and as a result of the guide plate 8 around the left drum 4 past the grate 7 into the percussion circle of the right drum 3 device, the grate 6 is then passed.

Then it is lifted up, and if the flake is sufficiently open and thus light enough, it is captured by the diagonal air flow resulting from a pressure gradient between the supply and discharge ducts and fed to the discharge duct 9. If the flake is still too compact, it falls back into the circle of impact and is subsequently thrown away tangentially, so that it hits the partition plate 10 or the cover plate 12 or 26 again, and the game begins again.

Those flakes that are light enough but not yet removed by the diagonal flow and, due to their lower inertia after being detected by the air flow or the pins 2 of the right drum 3, no longer fly tangentially away and no longer hit the partition plate 10, slip under the Separation plate through to pass the grids 7 and 6 again one after the other.

If there is a material that requires more intensive opening work, the diagonal flow is throttled by lowering the cover plate 12 or 26, as a result of which the fiber flocks increasingly impact the partition plate or the cover plate over the course of the passage thus additional opening operations can be carried out.

After the baffle-free zone of the left-hand drum 4 has been reached, suction takes place through the suction air flow that is predominant here.
