Electrical high-voltage heating device In international train traffic, the individual passenger coaches are equipped with so-called multi-voltage heating devices for operation with nominal voltages of 1000 volts, 1500 volts and 3000 volts. The setting to the prevailing operating voltage can either be done manually or by an automatically operated voltage selection device.
With these multi-voltage heating devices, there is an increased risk of being subject to overvoltage, especially if there is a faulty circuit. However, overvoltages can also occur in the catenary network. In any case, the presence of overvoltages causes premature wear or destruction of the electrical heating device and its components.
The present invention is based on the object of creating a device which, in the presence of an overvoltage, results in at least a brief shutdown of the heating device. For this purpose, the present electrical high-voltage heating device is designed so that the switching contact in the high-voltage circuit is first control circuit operated high-voltage contactor and in a second control circuit a relay associated switch contact, the relay winding located in the high-voltage circuit closes the switch contact when an overvoltage is present.
In the accompanying drawing, the circuit diagram of an embodiment of the device according to the Invention is shown.
In the high-voltage circuit 1, 2, the switching contact 3 of a high-voltage contactor 3/21 and the electrical heating device 4 formed by a resistance wire are located one behind the other. Line 2 is earthed at 23 . The resistance of the electrical heating device 4 is tapped by a line, 5 , which is grounded via a rectifier 6 . The winding 8 of a relay 8, 9 which actuates a switching contact 9 is located in the direct current circuit 7 of the rectifier.
The switching contact 9 is arranged in an auxiliary circuit 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, which derives its current from a current source 15 , e.g. B. a battery relates. In this auxiliary circuit 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 there is a relay 16, </ B in addition to the switching contact 9 > that actuates a switching contact 17 . The contact 17 normally takes a closed position. The relay 16, 17 is provided with a delay device which, after an adjustable time of approximately 5 to 10 minutes, the return of the switching contact 17 conditionally after opening into the closed position. The contact 17 is in a second control circuit 10, 18, 19, 20, 14.
In this second control circuit there is a magnetic coil 21 of the high-voltage contactor 3, 21, which is intended to open the normally closed high-voltage switching contact 3 .
The mode of operation is as follows: If the heating device 4 is in operation, the high-voltage switch contact 3 is closed, the switch contact 9 is open, and the switch contact 17 < / B> is closed. If there is an overvoltage, the relay 8/9 of the direct current circuit 7 is energized in the sense of closing the switching contact 9 . By closing the contact 9 the relay 16 '17 in the circuit 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 excited with the result that the switching contact 17 ge # opens.
Opening the contact 17 causes an interruption of the circuit 10, 18, 19, 20, 14, with the result that the high-voltage switching contact 3, </ B > is subject to the action of a spring - "opened". The heating device 4 is thus switched off from the current.
After an adjustable time of around five to ten minutes has elapsed, the relay 16/17 closes its contact 17 automatically. If the voltage in the high voltage circuit 1, 2 has returned to the normal value in the meantime, the high voltage contactor 3/21 remains switched on, otherwise the high is disengaged again - voltage contactor, as described.
Since faults can now occur in the various control circuits, an additional protective device is provided.
The line 5 is continued via a line 22 to earth 23 . A rectifier 24 is located in this circuit 22, 23. A relay 26/29 with a contact 27 is located in its direct current circuit 25 , which is in a first auxiliary circuit 10, 18, 19, 20, 14. Contact 27 is normally closed. If there is an overvoltage, the relay 26, 27, 29 is excited and remains in its basic position for a few seconds due to a pick-up delay compared to the relay 8, 9 .
If the contact 17 of the relay 16, 17 remains closed, the relay 26, 29 opens its contact 27 and interrupts it the circuit 10, 18, 19, 20, 14 of the magnetic coil 21 of the high-voltage contactor, whose contact 3 goes into the open position under spring action and disconnects the heating device 4 from the current.
The relay 26/29 has a locking device 28 which, after the relay 26, 29 has been tightened, the contact 27 in open position. The lock can only be removed by loosening it by hand in order to ensure that the damage to the heating device 4 or to the control circuits is eliminated first in any case.
The relay 26/29 has a second contact 29 , which is in a third auxiliary circuit 10, 30, 31, 32 </ B> lies. Contact 29 is open when contact 27 is closed and vice versa. There is also another auxiliary control circuit 10, 30, 31, 32 electrical signaling device 33, e.g. B. an incandescent lamp that makes the presence of an overvoltage immediately visible at a suitable point.
Precautions have been taken to ensure that the heating circuit is switched off very quickly so that the high-voltage heating is only overloaded for a short time.
