Description
Method for polishing and deburring metal objects and device for practicing the method The present patent relates to a method for polishing and deburring metal objects and a device for practicing the method.
In a known manner, metal objects are polished and deburred in a drum by means of a polishing paste. A disadvantage of this method is that the treatment of the parts takes many hours or even days and often has to be repeated several times. The invention be intended to avoid these disadvantages.
It has surprisingly been found that the polishing and deburring of metal objects can be carried out particularly easily and quickly if the treatment agent is put under pressure. The method consists, according to the inven tion, in that a pressure atmosphere is generated over the treatment liquid, which is kept mechanically in motion. The treatment liquid is expediently irradiated with ultrasound at the same time.
The device for performing the method has a container for receiving the treatment liquid and the parts to be treated, in wel chem container a transducer for generating ultrasound in the treatment liquid is provided, means are provided to treat liquid to a pressure atmosphere produce.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the device for performing the method are Darge, namely Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment and Fig. 2 shows a variant.
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, an open container 1 with feet 5 is provided, at the bottom 2 of which an ultrasonic head 3 for generating ultrasonic waves is arranged in the container. With 4 a treatment liquid is designated. A liquid Po lierpaste, z. B. a carborundum washout for use.
The entire container 1 is accommodated in a solid, lockable container 6, which is provided with a lid 7 which has a supply line 8 in order to generate a pressure atmosphere inside the container.
The parts to be treated are placed in the Behäl ter 1, after which the treatment liquid is mechanically moved me. The mechanical movement takes place through the ultrasound head 3 by exposing the liquid to the irradiation with ultrasound. At the same time, a pressure atmosphere is generated inside the container 6. Appropriately, there is an overpressure of 30 atmospheres in the container 6.
Due to the simultaneous irradiation with ultrasound and generation of a pressure atmosphere over the treatment liquid, the components in the loading container 1 are polished and deburred extremely quickly, usually in 10 to 20 minutes.
If a very powerful sound source, e.g. B. a high-performance transducer 10 is available, this can be arranged directly on the bottom 11 of a corre sponding container 12, which loading container is dimensioned so that the same can withstand 30 to 40 atmospheres internal pressure. The closure of the Behäl age is 13 and the pressure line 14 denotes.
In this case too, the components to be treated can be completely polished and deburred in 10 to 20 minutes. It should also be mentioned that a vibrator can also be used instead of the ultrasound head. Another possibility is by rotating the sealed and pressurized container. The objects to be processed are moved in the sound zone.
Finally, it should be mentioned that it may be useful to expose the objects to be processed to magnetic forces which are directed alternately in different directions.
The invention is not protected in the field of time measurement technology.
