Card with licker-in grate for processing various staple fiber materials The present invention relates to a card with licker-in grate open between the grate bars for processing various staple fiber materials, the grate rods designed as knives being arranged adjustable in height and against each other.
Card with licker-in for cotton, in which under the licker-in a grate with a collection box is arranged adjustable against the licker-in, and the rotation of the licker-in between this and the grate creates a suction effect that essentially only swells lower impurities are already known.
However, these known designs have the disadvantage that the box is very quickly filled with the excreted material during operation, whereby the suction is lost, so that the excretion of the knobs and shells decreases and the box also has to be emptied at short intervals .
There are also grids for carding with a licker-in for cotton, in which a so-called collecting rail is built in between the cup knife and the knives designed as grate bars. The purpose of this collecting rail is to guide the air flow into the licker-in space to the reel, but requires that the grate bars designed as knives must be placed relatively close to one another, since otherwise good material would be ejected between the knife bars.
Due to the necessarily close position of the knives to one another, the disadvantage arises that an increased excretion of existing impurities on the knives is not possible. The aim of the invention is to create a card which avoids these disadvantages and in which it is nevertheless achieved that all impurities such as shells, knobs, etc. are eliminated during processing of the fiber material, but long fiber material is also avoided.
The inventive Krem pel is characterized in that the grate is not covered by any collecting box and that a cover and stripping plate lying at a distance on the reel is cranked outwards on its part lying against the lickerin, so that between it cranked part of the cover and stripping plate and the tambour an air duct is formed,
through which the accumulated air coming from the lickerin area is directed to the reel.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the schematic drawing. The Ma to be processed material is fed to the lickerin 13 by means of the feed cylinder 14 via the feed trough of the table 15 and taken along by the teeth of the lickerin 13 in the direction of the arrow. The coarse shells, knobs, etc. are eliminated on the fixed bowl knife 19.
The cutting surface 20 of the lickerin 19 is expediently curved inwards, specifically designed to run parallel to the surface of the lickerin 13 so that the rejected parts are still carried along by the air flow in the lickerin up to the grate 4 and in the grate between the grate bars 1 , 2 and 3 are eliminated.
The grate 4 is an open grate between the grate bars, which is not covered by any collecting box and in which the grate bars 1, 2 and 3 are designed as knives, the grate bars in the grate depending on the different materia materials to be processed in the vertical direction and in the distance from each other are arranged adjustable in a slot 6, whereby the smaller impure particles can be separated.
So that the circulating air in the lickerin on the open grate is not expelled but taken with it, a second cover plate 5, which can be moved along the circumference of the lickerin 13, is arranged above the cover plate 17, which is fixed in place at 18 on the grate 4,
by means of which the opening between the grate bar 3 and the cover plate 17 is enlarged or reduced and thus the entry of air into the front tear space can be regulated as required depending on the nature of the material to be processed. The second cover plate 5 can, for. B. be moved by a running in the slot 7, manually operated slide over 21.
The cover and stripping plate 9 which is on the Tam bour 16 with a small distance is cranked at 11 such that its bottom part stood a larger from the reel 16 and its end is connected to the cover plate 8 of the lickerin. This creates an air duct 12 through which part of the air from the licker-in space, along with the remaining part of the material, is sucked in by the rotating drum 16.
In the area of the transition from the lickerin to the lickerin space, a second stripping plate 10 reaching into the air duct 12 is arranged at a small distance from the lickerin 16 so that the greater part of the fiber material coming from the lickerin is already taken over by the spool 16 here.
The described card ensures that the lickerin sucks in air from the first to the last grate bar and passes it on to the drum with the fiber material. Thanks to this slight Saugwir effect of the lickerin between the grate bars, it is possible to keep the distance of the knife bars wesent Lich further from each other than before, so that the impurities can be knocked off to an increased extent. -
