Description

Fig. 4 ist eine Seitenansicht des Fahrzeuges.

Road vehicle to be loaded from the rear The invention relates to road vehicles to be loaded from the rear, in particular those of the type referred to as low loaders, which are provided with wheel sets located backwards of the loading area, which as such can be removed from the driving position covering the rear side of the loading area.

The loading and unloading of such vehicles has previously required the complete removal of the wheel sets, which was very time consuming and a relatively complicated work, because it is necessary to lift the loading area otherwise supported by the wheel sets by lifting devices and support the wheels dismantle, reassemble after loading or unloading and then lower the loading surface again.

According to the invention, these difficulties and disadvantages are to be eliminated in a surprisingly simple and technically advantageous manner by an arrangement of the wheel sets which enables them to be left on the vehicle during loading and unloading and still allow unimpeded access to the loading area .

According to the invention, for this purpose, the wheel sets are arranged on longitudinal members pivotably connected to the side of the loading area, which are coupled to one another in such a way that when the vehicle is reversed after a lock has been released, the wheel sets are at least as much as that of the complete release of the rear Side corresponds to the loading area, can be swiveled out to the side.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pivotable connection of the longitudinal members to the loading area or their carriers is achieved by means of slewing rings which are provided with intermeshing teeth on part of their circumference.

Of course, the invention does not rule out that the wheelsets can also be dismantled if there is such. B. is necessary to lower the back wärtige edge of the loading area to the ground in order to be able to load particularly heavy goods. _ In the drawing, a low-loader vehicle is shown as an exemplary embodiment of the invention, namely FIGS. 1 to 3 show the vehicle from below with the wheel sets in the driving position, in the pivoted position and in a central position.

Fig. 4 is a side view of the vehicle.

In the figures, <I> a '</I> and <I> a "</I> denote the two wheel sets of the low-loader vehicle, each having two wheels, the axes c' and c" of which by means of the joints <I> b ', b "</I> are connected to the longitudinal beams <I> d', d" </I> so as to be rotatable about vertical pins.

These longitudinal girders <B> <I> d </I> </B> <I>, d "</I> are in turn connected to the floor of the loading area or the girders e supporting them via slewing rings f and <I> f" </I> connected laterally pivotable. These slewing rings are provided with blocking devices, not shown, just as the joints b ', b "can also be blocked in the driving position.

According to the embodiment shown, the two slewing rings <I> f ', f "</I> each in quadrants g', g" are provided with intermeshing teeth, so that the rotary movements of the two slewing rings are dependent on each other at the same time.

It can prove to be expedient to install the slewing rings not horizontally, but inclined inwardly towards one another, so that in the course of their rotary movements the loading area is simultaneously lowered in the pivoting-out direction and raised in the pivoting-in direction.

The mode of operation of the arrangement described is readily understandable. As soon as the blockings of the slewing rings with respect to the loading area and the articulated connection of the wheel set axes with the carriers are released and the outer wheels of the wheel sets are now braked, when the vehicle is pushed back, the result is an automatic pivoting into any pivoted position , the end position of which is shown in Fig. 2, while Fig. 3 illustrates an intermediate position of the pivoting process.

In the same way, when the vehicle is pulled forward again, the opposite pivoting movement results, whereupon the slewing rings f, f "and the joints <I> b ', b" </I> are blocked again and the vehicle is ready to drive.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above. Their use is advantageous wherever it is important to clear the rear access of the loading area for loading and unloading in the simplest possible way in a truck whose rear wheel axles are located backwards of the loading area.
