  Verpackungspolstermaterial sowie Verfahren und Maschine zu dessen   llerstellung   
Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verpackungspolstermaterial gekennzeichnet durch ein bandartiges Gebilde aus einem Thermoplast, das aus luftgefüllten Kissen besteht, die durch Verbindungsstege aneinandergereiht sind.



   Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von derartigem Material ist erfindungsgemäss dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Thermoplast-Schlauch mit seinem einen Ende an einer Luftausblaseöffnung in der Mantelfläche einer Wickelwalze angeschlossen wird, und von dieser Anschluss-Stelle aus unter Zwischenwicklung eines Distanzierungsorganes auf der Wickelwalze aufgewickelt und dann aufgeblasen wird, um darauf von der Walze wieder abgewickelt und zwischen Schweisswalzen durchgezogen zu werden, deren Profilierung dem gewünschten Luftkissenmuster entspricht.



   Eine Maschine zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens ist erfindungsgemäss gekennzeichnet durch eine frei drehbare Wickelwalze die, in ihrer Mantelfläche einen Luftausblas-Stutzen zum Anschliessen des einen Schlauchendes aufweist, der über einen Kanal im Walzenkörper mit einem Gebläse verbunden ist, sowie durch eine Schweisswalzenanordnung zum Unterteilen des luftgefüllten Schlauches in die Luftkissen, sowie eine Abwickelvorrichtung zum Fördern des luftgefüllten Schlauches in die Schweisswalzenanordnung.



   Ein Ausführungsbeispiel einer derartigen Maschine ist in Fig. 1 der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt,
Fig. 2 zeigt damit hergestelltes Polstermaterial in Draufsicht.



   Auf einer frei drehbar gelagerten Wickelwalze 1 ist unter Zwischenwicklung eines Distanzierungsorganes 2, beispielsweise einer Schnur oder eines Streifens, ein Thermoplast-Schlauch 3 aufgewickelt. Sein inneres Ende 30 ist an einem Luftausblasstutzen 10 angeschlossen, welcher in der Mantelfläche der Wickelwalze 1 versenkt angeordnet und über Kanäle 11, 12 im Walzenkörper an einem nicht dargestellten Gebläse angeschlossen ist. Damit ist es möglich, den aufgewickelten Schlauch vom inneren Wickelende her mit Luft voll zu blasen, weil die Schnur 2 die notwendige Distanzierung der Schlauchwände zu ihren beiden Seiten bewirkt.



   Zwei endlose, über angetriebene Walzen 41, 42 und Umlenkwalzen 43, 44 laufende Förderbänder 45, 46 bilden zusammen eine Fördervorrichtung für den luftgefüllten Thermoplast-Schlauch 3, um diesen in den Bereich von beheizten oder an Spannungspolen angeschlossenen Schweisswalzen 51, 52 zu bringen, die am Umfang mit Umfangsrippen 53 und   Mantelrippen    54 und dazwischenliegenden Ausnehmungen 55 versehen sind, welche der Form der Luftkissenhälfte entsprechen. Die Walzen, auf denen die Förderbänder 45, 46 umlaufen, sind federnd nachgiebig angeordnet, und die Förderbänder dienen auch dazu, ein unförmiges Aufblähen des Schlauches nach dem Ablaufen von der Walze 61 zu verhindern.



   Die Aussenflanken der Rippen 53 und 54 der beiden Schweisswalzen wälzen sich im Betrieb aufeinander ab und bilden die Schweissflächen zum Schweissen der Längsnähte 33 und Quernähte 34, die den luftgefüllten Thermoplast-Schlauch 3 in rechteckige Luftkissen von etwa 2-5 cm Seitenlänge unterteilen.



   Das mitaufgewickelte Distanzierungsorgan, die Schnur 2, wird beim Abziehen des Schlauches 3 von der Wickelwalze 1 über eine Umlenkrolle 61 auf eine Aufwickeltrommel 62 aufgewickelt.



   Von dem aus luftgefüllten Kissen bestehenden hergestellten Verpackungspolstermaterial können nach Bedarf einzelne Luftkissen oder grössere Gruppen davon abgeschnitten werden.

According to the present invention, a packaging cushioning material is characterized by a band-like structure made of a thermoplastic, which consists of air-filled cushions that are lined up by connecting webs.



   According to the invention, a method for producing such a material is characterized in that one end of a thermoplastic hose is connected to an air outlet opening in the outer surface of a winding roller, and from this connection point it is wound onto the winding roller with a spacer element in between and then inflated is then unwound again from the roller and pulled through between welding rollers, the profiling of which corresponds to the desired air cushion pattern.



   A machine for carrying out this method is characterized according to the invention by a freely rotatable winding roller which, in its outer surface, has an air blow-out nozzle for connecting the one end of the hose, which is connected to a fan via a channel in the roller body, and a welding roller arrangement for dividing the air-filled one Hose into the air cushion, as well as an unwinding device for conveying the air-filled hose into the welding roller arrangement.



   An embodiment of such a machine is shown schematically in Fig. 1 of the drawing,
Fig. 2 shows cushioning material produced therewith in a plan view.



   A thermoplastic tube 3 is wound on a freely rotatably mounted winding roller 1 with a spacer element 2, for example a cord or a strip, wound between them. Its inner end 30 is connected to an air outlet connector 10, which is arranged sunk in the outer surface of the winding roller 1 and is connected to a fan, not shown, via channels 11, 12 in the roller body. It is thus possible to blow the wound hose full of air from the inner winding end, because the cord 2 causes the necessary spacing of the hose walls on both sides.



   Two endless conveyor belts 45, 46 running over driven rollers 41, 42 and deflection rollers 43, 44 together form a conveying device for the air-filled thermoplastic hose 3 in order to bring it into the area of heated welding rollers 51, 52 connected to voltage poles, which are provided on the circumference with circumferential ribs 53 and jacket ribs 54 and recesses 55 in between, which correspond to the shape of the air cushion half. The rollers on which the conveyor belts 45, 46 revolve are resiliently arranged, and the conveyor belts also serve to prevent the hose from bulging out of shape after it has run off the roller 61.



   The outer flanks of the ribs 53 and 54 of the two welding rollers roll against each other during operation and form the welding surfaces for welding the longitudinal seams 33 and transverse seams 34, which divide the air-filled thermoplastic tube 3 into rectangular air cushions with a side length of about 2-5 cm.



   The co-wound spacer element, the cord 2, is wound onto a winding drum 62 via a deflection roller 61 when the hose 3 is pulled off the winding roller 1.



   Individual air cushions or larger groups can be cut off from the packaging cushioning material produced from the air-filled cushions.
