Description

Triangular signal with retro-reflective effect for indicating a vehicle stationary on the road The invention relates to a triangular signal with retro-reflective effect for indicating a vehicle stationary on the road.

There are numerous triangular signal types to show a vehicle stationary on the road according to the road traffic regulations.

Not all types of triangular signals have an effective warning effect, as they are usually made of joint parts made of metal or plastic, which are covered with a retroreflective film, which loses its visual effect after a certain time.

Further disadvantages of the known types are that dirt often soils the reflective surface and thus hinders proper warning.

In addition, the known signals generally have a support inclined to the signal plane. This support is usually not parallel to the other components when the triangle is collapsed, so that the collapsed triangle becomes bulky.

The present invention relates to a triangular signal for displaying a vehicle standing still on the road, in which the described disadvantages are avoided.

Another purpose of the invention is to create a triangular signal which is designed in such a way that wear and tear of the optically effective surfaces is prevented and consequently a permanent and flawless signal capability is ensured.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide a triangular signal which is not bulky when collapsed. These and other purposes are achieved by the triangular signal according to the invention, consisting of bars forming a triangle with Ge joints in the operating position and a folding support for supporting the triangle, which is characterized in that the bars are made in their entire length.

consist of transparent material and are coated on their backs with a metallization layer and each sit in a cover made of flexible material, these covers leaving the front sides of the strips free.

The invention is described in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. 1 shows a triangular signal in a vertical signal position, in perspective; FIG. 2 shows a rear view of the triangular signal in perspective in a partially collapsed position; 3 shows a schematic cross section through one of the strips of the triangular signal.

With 1, 2 and 3 three strips are referred to, which have articulated connections 4, 5 and 6 at their ends and together form the triangular signal. These strips 1, 2 and 3 have a rectangular, flat cross-section and consist in their entire length of in Fig. 3 with 7 designated, transparent system material, which on its rear side 7b a lot of polygonal, acting in the manner of a corner mirror , bulge known per se.

This side 7b opposite the front side 7a for the entry (Le) and exit (La) of the light is coated with a metallization layer 8. This layer 8 is protected by the transparent material 7 and by the cover 9 described in more detail below, and rain or the like can therefore not damage this reflective surface and thus not reduce the optical effect of the signal.

The strips 1, 2 and 3 sit in sleeves 9, which are preferably made of plastic or rubber hen best and on their side edges 10 and 11 paragraphs 12 and 13 respectively. The paragraphs 12 and 13 engage in corresponding recesses 12 'and 13' on the side edges of the strips 1, 2 and 3 made of transparent material 7 a. As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the bar 3 has a support rod 14 which is rotatably attached to the casing 9 of the bar 3. This attachment can take place with the aid of a tab 15 on the rear side 9 'of the sleeve 9 and a pin 16 which is connected to this tab and acts as an axis of rotation.

If this support rod 14 is pivoted 90o from its rest position parallel to bar 3, it supports the triangular signal in its vertical position, which also rests on the floor with two blocks 17 arranged on the cover 9 of the lower bar.

While the bars 1 and 2 are firmly connected to the bar 3 with the help of the pins 5 and 6, the connection between the bars 1 and 2 at the tip 4 takes place with the help of a pin 18 made of flexible material, which is in the corresponding hole 19 is introduced at bar 2.

In practice, the good and large effectiveness of the triangular signal described could be determined, which is due in particular to the presence of the metallization layer on the back of the transparent material of the strips and the special execution of the support of the triangle in the vertical position, which practically every tipping of the signal is prevented.

The retroreflective surface can also have intermediate sectors with a different reflectivity.

Instead of the recesses 12 ', 13', the side edges of the strips can also have bevels to which the side edges of the casings then have to be adapted.

The tab 15 is not absolutely necessary. Instead of the pin 18 and the bore 19, a push button can also be provided.

It goes without saying that the material and the dimensions can be selected as desired.
