Aiguille hypodermique
Hypodermic needle
The present invention relates to a hypordermic needle comprising two concentric hollow needles, one internal, the other external, sliding freely one inside the other and a locking device fixing the relative axial and angular position. of these two needles, characterized in that said locking device comprises a latch articulated on one of the needles and one of the ends of which cooperates with the other needle while the other end of this latch constitutes a locking member. operation and by the fact that said lock is subjected to an elastic action tending to keep it in the active locking position.
The appended drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example the locking device of one embodiment of the hypodermic needle according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front view.
Fig. 2 is a side view.
The illustrated hypodermic needle comprises, as described in detail in the main patent, an internal needle, an external needle and a locking device constituted by a lock making it possible to fix these two needles in a determined relative axial and angular position.
The internal needle consists of a tube 1, one of the ends of which is sharp and bevelled like the existing hypodermic needles. The tube 1 comprises at its other end a body 3 provided with a conical bore 4 concentric with the tube 1 and intended to cooperate with a conical connection provided at one of the ends of a syringe.
The outer needle is formed by a tube 5 provided at one of its ends with a body 6 having a bore 7 concentric with the tube 5 and intended to engage on an extension 14 of the body 3 of the internal needle. Tube 1 has an outside diameter such that it slides freely inside tube 5. The free end of tube 5 is rounded and polished so as to be absolutely free of any sharp edges. The length of tube 5 is such that the free end of tube 1 emerges from tube 5.
The locking device comprises a lock 20 articulated on the body 3 of the internal needle. One of the beak-shaped ends 21 of this lock 20 is applied, when the two needles are one inside the other, on a bearing surface 22 made on the outer surface of a coil. 25 of the body 6 of the outer needle by an elastic thrust caused by a spring 23 bearing on the one hand on the body 3 of the inner needle and on the other hand on the other end 24 of the lock 20. This spring 23 is constituted by a tab coming from a workpiece with the latch 20 and folded out of the plane thereof. This end 24 constitutes an operating member.
In the active locking position of the lock, shown in fig. 1 and 2, the axial and angular relative position of the two needles is fixed. Indeed, under the action of the spring 23, the end 21 of the latch is applied to the bearing surface 22. The radial position is then fixed by the application of the spout 21 on the bearing surface 22 while the axial position of the internal and external needles is fixed by means of the spout 21 hooking behind said coil 25. In this way the upper face of the external needle is held against the lower face of the body 3 of the internal needle.
To separate the two needles from one another, it suffices to exert pressure on the actuator and thus cause the lock 20 to pivot.
The shape of the end 21 of the lock as well as of the bearing surface 22 of the body of the external needle could be different from that illustrated. This bearing surface could be replaced by any means preventing relative rotation between the lock and the body of the external needle. These means could be constituted by cutmarks, teeth, crenals, etc.
The nose 21 could for example have a curved end intended to bear on the lower lateral face of the coil 25. Such an arrangement makes it possible to ensure the relative axial position of the two needles even during great tensile forces.
