Windshield wiper arm for motor vehicles The invention relates to a wiper arm for motor vehicles, with a wiper rod that carries the wiper blue at the outer end and merges at the inner end into an open head housing in the direction of the windshield, in which a clamping piece intended to secure the wiper shaft rotatably supported is, wherein a spring engages on an approach of the clamping piece, which is supported against the head housing and the wiper rod pushes against the windshield.
In the previously known versions of the wiper arm, the pivotably mounted clamping piece is fastened in the wiper arm head housing by a rivet which is guided through holes in the side walls of the wiper arm head housing and through the clamping piece. Since the wiper arm head housing is either high-gloss chrome-plated or painted during assembly, the riveting must be done with great care. will.
When out. If dismantling is necessary for any reason, then when removing the rivet it can hardly be avoided that damage to the wiper arm head housing occurs. The heads of the bearing rivet can also damage the painted side surfaces of the wiper arm head housing during operation, since pivoting movements in the range of approximately 150 occur between the wiper arm head housing and the clamping piece with each wiping.
If the paint is rubbed off by the heads of the rivet during these movements, rust can form on these bare areas.
In order to avoid the identified deficiencies and to reduce the cost of manufacture and assembly, it is proposed according to the invention in a windshield wiper arm of the embodiment described at the beginning that the clamping piece has two pins which are inserted into elongated recesses in the side walls of the Wi that are inclined to the longitudinal axis of the arm
Shear arm head housing .in the base of which the spring causing the wiping pressure presses the two pins of the clamping piece. The two pins can be made in one piece with the clamping piece.
If the wiper arm head housing is manufactured as a plastic or die-cast part, the recesses intended to receive the pins of the clamping piece can be designed as grooves running in the side walls of the wiper arm head housing.
If, however, the wiper arm head housing is made of sheet metal, the recesses are designed as slots and the length of the pin located on the clamping piece corresponds to the thickness of the wall thickness of the wiper arm head housing. Heads can also be provided at the pin ends,
the inner surfaces of which in the working position rest against the outer surfaces of the side walls of the wiper arm head housing.
The invention is explained in two exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing.

According to FIGS. 1 to 4, in the trough-shaped housing 1 made of die-cast or plastic, there are two inclined grooves 4 and 5 arranged in the side walls 2 and 3 of the housing 1. The clamping piece is used to secure against rotation on the wiper shaft 6 determined. In an opening 7 of the clamping piece 6, the wiper shaft is inserted and fixed by the screw 8 = clamped.
At an attachment 9 of the clamping piece 6, a guide plate 10 is mounted pivotably about the axis 11. The clamping piece 6 has two cylindrical pins 12 and 13 which are inserted into the grooves 4 and 5 when the clamping piece is assembled with the housing 1.
According to FIG. 4, a spring 14 rests on the shoulders of the narrowing guide plate 10, the other end of which rests against the wall 15 of the housing 1. In the housing 1, the Wi shear rod 16 is fastened by the screws 17 and 18 be. The grooves 4 and 5 are arranged so that the spring 14 presses the pins 12 and 13 into the bottom of the grooves 4 and 5.
In the wiper arm head housing 1 'made of sheet metal, as shown in FIGS. 5 to 8, the slots 4' and 5 'are arranged in the side walls 2' and 3 'of the housing 1'. The pressure piece 6 'has cylindrical pins 12' and 13 ', the length of which corresponds to the wall thickness of the housing. 1 'corresponds to. At the ends of the pins 12 'and 13', heads 19 and 20 are arranged, which, as shown in FIG. 8, in the working position on the outer surfaces of the side walls 2 'and 3' of the housing 1 'with their inner edge surfaces.
