Description

Fig. 1 eine Packung mit einer Aufreissvorrichtung in geschlossenem Zustand;
Fig. 2 die Packung nach Fig. 1 geöffnet;

   Tear-off device on a pack, method for producing the same and machine for carrying out the method
The invention relates to a tear-open device on a pack, in particular for assorted objects, for example biscuits of different types, which pack consists of insert parts and a casing which is made of a thinner material than the insert parts.

   The aim of the invention is to provide means which allow the pack to be opened easily over its entire length.

   According to the invention, on the inside of the cover part of the cover, two tear-off tapes running at a distance from one another at least in the middle part of the cover are provided, which extend to the edge of the folded-in side flaps of the cover, their distance being reduced in the area of the side flaps. The side tabs preferably have incisions running at least approximately perpendicular to their edge on both sides of the tear-off tapes, which allow easy grasping of the ends of the tear-off tapes.

   The invention also relates to a method for producing the tear-open device and a machine for carrying out the method.

   In the drawing, a pack with a tear-open device and a device for performing the method are shown schematically as an example. Show it:
1 shows a pack with a tear-open device in the closed state;
FIG. 2 shows the package of FIG. 1 opened;
3 shows a cut of the outer casing of the pack according to FIGS. 1 and 2 and
4 shows a machine for applying the tear-off tape to the strip of material forming the casing.

   The pack shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has insert parts 1, 2 made of corrugated cardboard, which are surrounded by a sleeve 3 made of cellophane. However, other material could also be used. The insert parts 2 represent partitions which delimit individual chambers in which, for example, various kinds of biscuits or the like are accommodated. The casing 3 is folded around the insert parts 1, 2 in a known manner in such a way that side flaps 4, 5 are present on the narrow sides of the pack. The upper side tab 4 lies over the lower side tab 5 and is attached to it.

   On the inside of the cover two tear-off tapes 6, 7 are attached, which extend at a distance from one another over the entire lid part of the pack and run on the narrow sides of the pack up to the edges 4a of the upper side tabs 4, whereby they are in the area of the side tabs 4 approach and lie either side by side or on top of each other at the edges 4a. The two tear-off tapes 6, 7 thus delimit an area 3a of the sleeve 3. Two incisions 8 are made on the edges 4a of the side tabs on both sides of the tear-off tapes, which make it easier to grasp the ends of the tear-off tapes 6, 7.

   To open the pack, the ends of the two tear strips 6, 7 are grasped between the incisions 8 and pulled upwards. The cover 3 then tears along the tear strip so that, as FIG. 2 shows, the surface 3a of the cover can be removed. It is useful to cut or perforate the part of the insert 1 lying below the surface 3a parallel to three of the four upper edges of the pack. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the relevant part of the insert 1 can then be opened up so that the contents of the pack are exposed.

   In Fig. 3 a blank of the envelope 3 of the package is shown spread out. The two tear strips 6, 7 fastened on the inside of the envelope run parallel to one another in the middle part of the blank and then approach each other until they touch at the edges of the blank. The two incisions 8 are present on both sides; but they could also be arranged only on one side of the blank. In principle, it would also be possible to have the tear-off tapes 6, 7 protrude somewhat over the edges of the blank on at least one side, but this is unfavorable for the series production of the tear-off device.

   4 shows an exemplary embodiment of a machine for applying the tear-off tapes 6, 7 to the inside of the cover 3. The material for the cover 3 is drawn off from a supply roll 10 and runs over a deflection and tensioning roll 16 to a pair of rolls 15. The tear-off tapes 6 and 7 are pulled off two consecutive supply rolls 11, only one of which is visible, and guided over a deflection and tensioning roll 17 to a moistening device 12 in which an adhesive, for example liquid adhesive wax or a suitable solvent, is fed through a roll 12a is applied to one side of the two ribbons 6, 7.

   The two tapes, only one of which is visible, now run to two guide levers 13, which are pivotable about vertical axes and execute pivoting movements in the working cycle of the device or the entire packaging machine, not shown, in such a way that the two tear-off tapes 6, 7, as their mutual position on the shell 3 requires, alternately at a distance from one another and then again very close to one another to the pair of rollers 15. The two guide levers 13 can be used in a known manner, for. B. can be controlled by cams. The pair of rollers 15 presses the tear-off tape against the strip 3, to which they stick. If necessary, the pair of rollers 15 can be heated. The cover 3 is withdrawn from the supply roll 10 with the aid of known means.

   The strip 3 with the adhesive tear-off tapes 6, 7 is now fed via further pulleys to a cutting device 18, which makes two parallel cuts 8 in the strip 3 at those points on the strip 3 where the tear-off tapes are closest to one another. The strip 3 then runs to a further separating device 19 which divides it into individual blanks according to FIG. 3. The blanks 3 then run to a packaging machine known per se, in which they are combined with the inserts 1 and formed into a pack. This packaging machine does not belong to the invention and is therefore not explained in more detail.

   In the illustrated embodiment, the ends of the tear strips 6 and 7 are superimposed on the edges of the blank. But they could just as well be arranged very close to one another; this may make it easier to apply the ribbon.
