Plate bearing a character The present invention relates to a plate bearing a character, in particular for the composition of inscriptions, characterized in that it presents on one of the faces in .relief the design of this character, and on the other means self-adhesive for its: fixing on a surface.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof and FIG. 2 a section along II-II of FIG. 1.
In the drawing, 1 is a plastic material plate, 2, a raised character representing the letter A, produced with the plate 1, for example by molding, while 3 are tabs protruding from the back of the plate and each having a self-adhesive layer 4 covered by a:
tear-off protection. The color of the character will preferably be different from that of the plate, but sufficiently contrasting to allow easy reading, even at a relatively large distance. This character is fixed on any vertical or horizontal surface by pressure exerted by the finger after removing the protective layer.
In a variant not shown, the back of the plate 1 could not have tabs 3 but be covered with self-adhesive strips.
In another variant, also not shown, these tabs could be replaced by an adhesive layer directly affixed to the back of the plate 1 covered by a tear-off protection. This adhesive layer could cover the entire surface of the wafer or, on the contrary, extend along one or more bands.
The invention is of course not limited to what is described or shown in the drawing; in particular, it will be understood that it will be possible to form characters representing not only letters but also numbers, accents, punctuation marks as well as any other sign commonly used in the development of texts.
