Description

Fig. 4 zeigt hievon Beispiele.

Damper winding on an alternating current machine Damper windings have proven to be necessary in synchronous machines, especially in single-phase generators, in order to suppress or reduce the undesirable pendulum oscillations caused by asymmetrical loads or, in single-phase generators, by the opposing field.

The design of the damper winding depends on the type of machine. In drum rotors, for example, the rods of the damper winding are placed in the rotor slots under the slot wedges and then short-circuited by end connections. Instead of the inserted damper bars, the slot wedges themselves can also be used as damper bars and connected to one another by short-circuit rings.

In machines with pronounced poles, it is common again to accommodate the winding bars in cylindrical or groove-shaped recesses in the Polschu hen the pole carrying the exciter winding, so in the usual execution of the synchronous machines in the rotor, near the air gap. The connection of the rod ends by short-circuit rings is carried out in such a way that the rings do not consist of one piece, i.e. H. each pole has its own particular ring segment. The individual ring segments are connected to one another by means of thermally elastic connectors.

So that no loosening of the ring segments or connecting pieces and thereby damage to them can occur due to the centrifugal force occurring during operation, it is known to use perforated Ringseg elements with inserted and hard soldered damper rods. Special support structures are provided for the connection tabs, especially in larger machines.

Damper windings have also become known, especially in the case of Trommelläu, in which the damper rods inserted in the grooves of the exciter winding below the slot wedges or the slot wedges formed as damper rods on both sides of the rotor ball are short-circuited by push-on sleeves or metallic rotor caps.

So was u. a. an embodiment is described in which the damper rods are designed in two parts, especially in the case of rotor balls of greater axial length, and are inserted from both rotor ball sides into the groove that recesses the damper winding and connected in a known manner at their joint. The end connection of the rods is made by means of a sleeve that is firmly connected to the rotor rods by means of soldering or the like. Furthermore, a comb-like or rake-like designed damper cage was known, e.g.

   B. by the USA patent no. 1316 004, in which the teeth of the cam have at least the length of the rotor ball and the comb back forms the short-circuit connection of the individual teeth. However, this version requires at least two mutually inserted combs on the runner ball, the electrical connection of the open comb part being made by the comb back of a second sheet metal comb below or above it. The teeth of one comb are held on the back of the other, for example by rivets.

All of these known embodiments have the disadvantage that the electrical connection between tween the individual damper rods and the end connection is either not always flawless or the economic outlay for the production of the damper cage is relatively high.

In an effort to largely eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages and thereby obtain a damper cage that is as economical and technically flawless as possible in production and assembly, the present invention was created which represents a further advance over known damper cage designs.

The subject of the invention is therefore a damper winding on an alternating current machine, in particular a special turbo generator, with damper rods inserted in the grooves of the exciter winding under the slot wedges, a number of damper rods with their end connection being punched from one piece, thus the damper winding from there is a comb-like design, placed or pushed in on both sides of the ball of the runner, and is characterized by

that in these metal combs made from one piece, the length of the damper rods corresponds to about half the length of the rotor ball and the comb parts lying on the same cylinder surface are electrically connected to one another at their joints.

The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 shows a section through the damper winding along the line AB of FIG. 2, the rotor ball with 5, the slot wedges with 6 and the end windings of the exciter winding protecting against centrifugal force and at the same time the electrical connection of the individual comb back parts with each other producing rotor cap is denoted by 3.

The insulating cylinder 4 lies between the excitation winding (not shown) and the comb-like parts 1 and 2 of the damper winding that are conductively connected to one another. The runner cap as well as the runner ball with groove wedges show a turn for better centering. The connection of the comb teeth of the damper cage parts 1 and 2 inserted on both sides of the rotor ball 5 is best done in the pulled out state (shown in dashed lines in Fig. 1) in one of the known ways.

After the comb teeth forming the damper rods have been connected, they are returned to their operating position and the slot wedge is then inserted. In order to avoid an axial displacement of the damper cage, it is advantageous to attach spacers 7 on the rotor ball by means of screws or the like at any number, in practice mostly at four points, between the individual damper rods.

It can also prove to be advantageous to assemble the damper winding from several damper cages of any sheet metal thickness, the individual damper cages being arranged to overlap in the circumferential direction and the teeth of the same in the axial direction. The electrical connection between the individual damper cage parts is ensured by the overlapping or overlapping of the individual damper cage parts.

In Fig. 2 a composite damper cage is made of four parts, two parts always having the same shape, shown in perspective and Fig. 3 shows its development. The same design of parts 1 and 2 can be clearly seen here. The teeth of the opposing metal combs that form the damper rods are beveled at their joint or have any other profile. Fig. 4 shows examples of these.

The connection of the individual metal combs 1, 1 or 2, 2 shown in FIG. 3 can, as shown, be carried out by a full push and by means of the rotor cap 3. In the event that the runner cap in smaller machines is not made of material that conducts electricity, or for other reasons, the function of the runner cap can take over a metallic sleeve or the individual parts can also be used, for example by soldering or welding be connected by a rich overlap. The full overlap of the ridges is z.

   B. achieved by a slight crimping of a narrow side of the Stirnverbin training and pushing the non-cranked narrow side of the other comb back.
