Sandblasting blower The present invention relates to a sandblasting blower in which any powdery or finely ground, emery-like material is converted into a liquid-like, whirled, so-called dust-flowing state and metered into a blowing nozzle.
It is known to use sandblasting blower with dry, dusty grinding or emery material for surface treatment, eg. B. decorative finishing of surfaces, to remove sanding marks and scratches on machine parts and for deburring irregularly shaped castings.
The problem with sandblasting blowers, which work with very fine-grained materials up to a mesh count of 5000 mesh, is to put this fine sanding material completely in a dust-flowing state, to introduce it into the transport air stream and then to put it in a blower nozzle to give the appropriate speed.
In Swiss Patent No. 353273 a sandblasting system for fine emery material is already described, in which ge works with a suction force that acts on an emery material supply in a container and generates an air flow in this container. The inlet air for the Behäl ter is passed through a porous plate in the bottom of the Be container to put the emery material in the dust-flowing state. The emery material, which has been put in the dust-flowing state, is sucked into a secondary line of the main blowing line connected to the blower nozzle.
A disadvantage of this sandblasting system is the relatively poor effect of the air flow generated by suction force, which indeed must both put the emery material in the dust-flowing state and introduce it into the carrier air flow in a well-dosed manner. In addition, in this known device, in addition to the suction air source, a compressed air source for the blower nozzle is required in order to give the abrasive particles the necessary speed via a two-hose system.
The present invention avoids these parts after and proposes a sandblasting blower, which works with better efficiency and with comparatively small air requirement the Schmirgelteil chen a high speed in the nozzle he shares. Also, the sandblasting fan according to the invention is simpler in structure than known systems, since it only requires a single air source, and made light a better adjustability of the dosage of the emery material.
The sandblasting fan according to the invention has a storage container for the finely ground and / or powdered emery material, in the bottom of which a porous plate with numerous Luftkanä len and a feed pipe are arranged which protrudes through the porous plate, opens with its upper opening in this container and is connected with its other opening to a line, and a space located under the porous plate in a housing and is characterized in that the container is designed as a closable pressure vessel with means for filling the emery gel material,
that the space under the porous plate is connected to a compressed air source and the mentioned line into which the feed pipe opens is connected via a pressure reducing valve on the one hand to the same compressed air source as the mentioned room and on the other hand to a blow nozzle, the whole thing in such a way that when the Sand jet blower first an air stream flows directly through the feed pipe into the pressure vessel and the emery material contained in the pressure vessel is put into the dust-flowing state that the emery material,
when a pressure equilibrium has been established in the pressure vessel, kept in the dust-flowing state by the air flow passing through the porous plate and the direction of the air flow in the feed pipe is reversed and this air flow, which is dosed with emery particles, passes through the feed pipe into the mentioned line , from which it is fed with the main air stream at increased speed to the blower nozzle.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings using an exemplary embodiment. It show Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of the sand jet blower, partly in section.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged plan view of the device with which the emery material is placed in the dust-flowing state, some parts are shown broken away to show details, and Fig. 3 is a section along the line 3-3 in Fig. 2. The sandblasting blower 10, as shown in FIG. 1, has a steel pressure vessel 11 which is provided with a prior council of emery material 12.
The grain size of the emery material can be between 100 and 5000 mesh, and it can consist of the most varied of materials, which do not necessarily fall under the usual term sand. The type and grain size of the material depend on the work for which the sandblasting blower is used.
At the bottom of the pressure vessel 11 a construction unit 13 is arranged in which the emery material is placed in the dust-flowing state and which is used to feed the carrier air flow with emery gel material. It contains a T-shaped feed housing 14 with a feed pipe 15 which extends perpendicularly through the housing and ends in a nozzle-like opening 16 in the lower part of the pressure container 11 (Fig. 3). The lower end of the feed pipe 15 opens into a straight pipe section 18 which is welded to the bottom of the housing 14 or fastened to it in another suitable manner.
The feed pipe 15 and the pipe section 18 form a T-shaped branch line. The tube 18 is provided with a thread 19 at one end in order to enable the connection of a line 20 which leads to the blow nozzle 21, while a line 23 is screwed onto the thread 22 at the other end of the tube 18. A suitable source of compressed air 24, e.g. B. a compressor, supplies the compressed air with the ge desired pressure, z. B. 7 Atm., To a line 25 to operate the system. The system can be switched on or off by switching the compressor on and off.
Another line 26 leads directly from the line 25 to the housing 14 and supplies it with compressed air directly from the compressor 24, so z. B. with 7 atm. The line 25 is connected to a conventional spring-loaded regulating valve 27 behind the branch of the line 26, which generates a constant pressure drop along a throttle opening so that the air at the outlet of the valve 27, which is connected to the line 23, is less Pressure is, z. B. 6.65 atm.
FIGS. 2 and 3 show the structural unit 13 on a larger scale. The housing 14 is preferably disc-shaped and has a round, zen tral cavity 38, which is from a paragraph 29 to give. The paragraph 29 carries a z. B. po rosem stone existing partition wall 30 of the same thickness through which the feed pipe 15 extends.
Due to its porosity, the partition wall 30 has a multitude of winding air channels, so that when compressed air is applied to the lower surface 31, a turbulent air flow emerges from its upper surface 32, which the fine, powdery emery material 12 on the bottom of the pressure vessel 12 in the dust-flowing state. Any suitable material that has many channels running in the most varied of directions can be used as a partition wall 30. It has been shown that the known resin-bonded quartz filter is an extremely suitable material for this.
At the upper end of the pressure vessel 11 there is a storage container 33 and above it a cyclone 34 which works according to the known centrifugal separator principle and has an inlet connection 40. With the help of this separator, the emery material used for sandblasting can be used several times, so that an economical use of the relatively expensive. Emery material is guaranteed. As indicated schematically, the blow nozzle 21 can be arranged in a closed working chamber 35, from which the emery material used and the material particles removed from the workpiece are fed through a channel 36 to the cyclone 34.
A sieve 37 in the container 33 ensures the separation of the large particles removed from the workpieces and passing through the separator 34 so that they do not get back into the feed system to the blowing nozzle 21.
As shown schematically in Fig. 1, a dedusting line 38 leads from the pressure vessel 11 via a valve 39 to the inlet port 14 of the cyclone separator 34. The valve 39 is a conventional pinch valve which is connected to an outlet port 41, which in turn is in the vicinity of the upper part of the pressure vessel is arranged. The pinch valve 39 has a membrane 42 which forms one wall of a chamber 43. The membrane 42 responds to pressure and can then block the passage of air through the line 38.
A line 44 connected to the compressor 24 leads to a T-piece 45 which is connected to the chamber 43 via a line 46. From the other branch of the T-piece 45, a preferably fixed line 47 leads through the wall of the pressure vessel into this.
When operating the sandblasting fan, it is desirable to close the pressure vessel as soon as emery material is fed from it into the blower nozzle 21. If the sandblasting fan is switched off, the emery material recovered in the collecting container 33 should flow into the pressure container 11, if possible. For this purpose, the plate 48 which separates the pressure vessel 11 and the collecting vessel 33 has an opening 39 into which a valve cone 50 and a seal 51 are fitted. The valve cone 50 can be opened by weight and / or a spring which is attached to a set 56 of the valve cone 50. The valve cone 50 slides freely on a pipe support 52 which is arranged at the end of the fixed line 47.
The Ven valve 50 is kept closed by the compressed air that passes through the secondary line 47, the pipe support 52 and a bellows 53 which is fixedly supported on the pipe 52 with a ring 54 is attached. As a result, the valve 50 closes as soon as compressed air enters the line 47. It seals the pressure vessel 11 in this way, so that the air flow coming through the feed pipe 15 and the porous plate 30 into the pressure vessel 11 is enclosed in the pressure vessel 11 when it begins to put the emery material 12 into the dust-flowing state.
When the pressure in the pressure vessel 11 rises as a result of the closed valve 50, the air flow in the feed pipe 15 reverses its direction and then flows as an air stream laden with emery particles through the nozzle-like opening 16 into the feed pipe 15. As soon as the compressed air is switched off, it opens Valve 50 due to the action of the spring 55 and the weight of the material lying on it, and the pressure vessel is filled with emery gel material. In this way, an automatic refilling of the pressure vessel 11 is enough.
The present invention makes it possible to transfer the emery material into the dust-flowing state and to introduce the emery particles into the blower air stream with the aid of a compressed air stream that is fed into the container 11, much more effectively than in systems that use a relatively ineffective vacuum or suction system are working. With the new arrangement of the invention, a single source of compressed air can be used to effect the following: 1.
Putting the abrasive material in the dust-flowing state with the aid of the porous plate 30; 2. Closing the valve 50; 3. Feeding an air flow loaded with emery particles into the blown air or carrier flow from the same air source; 4. Acceleration of the emery particles to the necessary speed; 5. Pressure relief in the pressure vessel 11 after the sandblasting process has ended, so that the valve 50 opens and new emery material flows into the pressure vessel 11.
The sandblasting fan shown in Fig. 1 ar processed as follows: When the compressor 24 is switched on, the pressure in the line 46 increases, whereby the outlet line 38 by means of the mem brane 42 of the pinch valve 39 is shut off. At the same time, compressed air passes through the line 47 and closes the valve 50 at the upper end of the pressure vessel 11. The pressure of the compressor 24 also acts simultaneously via the lines 25 and 26 the feed pipe 15, the space 28 in the housing 14 under the porous plate 30 and through the spring-loaded regulating valve 27, the line 23, in which a compared to the pressure in line 25 slightly reduced ter pressure prevails.
Since there is no inhibiting valve in the line 44, compressed air immediately flows into the line 27, and the valve 50 closes the pressure vessel 11 before the pressure surge reaches the pressure vessel 11 through the line 23 and the feed pipe 15. This initial surge in pressure in the pressure vessel 11 generates a violent turbulence that is increased by reflection of the surge of compressed air in the pressure vessel, by means of which the emery material 12 is almost instantaneously put into the dust-flowing state.
At the same time, the pressure in the pressure vessel 11 rises rapidly and the compressed air supplied through the line 26 begins to flow through the porous plate 30. When the air exits at the upper surface 32 of the plate 30, its turbulence ensures that the dust-flowing state of the emery material 12 is constantly maintained.
As a result of the two inlets for the compressed air, an equilibrium pressure is quickly established in the pressure vessel 11, which corresponds to the pressure in the feed pipe 15. Since the pressure acting on the porous plate 30 is greater than the pressure in the line 23, an air stream laden with emery particles can enter the nozzle-like opening 16 and pass through the feed pipe 15 into the main blowing air stream, which exits the line at a higher speed 23 flows into the pipe 18, through the line 20 and to the blow nozzle 21.
In this way, the blown air flow is charged with a metered amount of emery gel particles.
It is essential for the sandblasting blower according to the invention that after closing the valve 15 in the pressure vessel 11 a violent pressure surge occurs. This ensures that the system responds immediately and is ready for operation and that there is practically no initial loss of energy during the transfer of the stationary emery material to the dust-flowing state, in order to maintain the dust-flowing state and the constant supply of a dosed amount of abrasive material into the blown air flow a relatively small amount of compressed air is required to pass through the porous plate 30.
Thus, a single source of compressed air puts the emery particles in the dust-flowing state and blows them through the blow nozzle 21 at a suitable speed. The invention thus creates a sandblasting fan with increased blasting speed without increasing the air consumption.
In the construction of a sandblasting blower according to the invention, the dimensions of the various parts, such as. B. the porous plate 30, selected according to the size of the emery particles used and the nozzle. The pressure drop that is caused in the valve 27 can be changed in order to be able to change the pressure difference in the steady operating state between the pressure in the Druckbehäl ter 11 and that in the pipe 18 and thus the flow of emery particles.
The dimensions of the feed pipe 15 and those of the opening 16 or the distance between the opening 16 and the plate 30 can also be changed so that a larger amount of particles removed from the workpieces can be collected on the plate 30 than enters the blown air flow. The deposited particles can be removed when the system is switched off.
