  Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent 345 721         Verfahren    zum Einfassen von auf ihre endgültigen  Abmessungen vorbereiteten Teppichen    Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine  Verbesserung des im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Ver  fahrens zum Einfassen von auf ihre endgültigen Ab  messungen vorbereiteten Teppichen, wobei die Tep  pichränder und/oder die an den Teppichrändern  endenden Fasern mindestens an einem Teil des Tep  pichumfanges mit einer Kautschukmasse versehen und  damit durch Vulkanisieren der Kautschukmasse unlös  bar verbunden werden.  



  Teppiche haben die unangenehme Eigenschaft,  dass sie auf glatten Böden rutschen. Es sind zwar  bereits rutschsichere Unterlagen bekannt, welche zwi  schen die Unterseite der Teppiche und des Bodens  gelegt werden.  



  Das Verbinden der rutschfesten Unterlage mit  dem Teppich ist jedoch sehr schwierig, da die üblichen  Klebstoffe - wie zahlreiche Versuche gezeigt haben  - versagen.  



  Das Problem wird     erfindungsgemäss    in der Weise  gelöst, dass auf der Teppichunterseite gleichzeitig mit  dem Vulkanisieren der Kautschukmasse die Ränder  eines rutschfesten Belages aus einer Kautschukmasse  zusammenvulkanisiert werden.  



  Die Herstellung der Teppichumrandung erfolgt in  gleicher Weise, wie dies im Hauptpatent     beschrieben     wurde, wobei lediglich anstelle des bodenseitigen Ein  fassungsstreifens     ein    rutschfester Kautschukbelag tritt.  Dieser rutschfeste Belag besteht, wie das Randma  terial aus einer Kautschukmasse, beispielsweise Roh-         gummi    und hat auf der bodenseitigen Fläche ein etwas       aufgerauhtes    Aussehen. Dieser Belag wird nun zu  sammen mit dem Rand und gleichzeitig mit dem  Vulkanisieren dieses Randes mit dem letzteren bei  erhöhter Temperatur unlösbar     zusammenvulkanisiert.     



  Innerhalb des Randes ist der rutschfeste Belag  somit mit dem Teppich nicht verbunden, sondern  liegt lose gegen die dem Boden zugekehrte Fläche des  Teppichs an.  



  Der Herstellungsvorgang erfolgt normalerweise so,  dass eine Teppichkante nach der andern vulkanisiert  wird; es wäre allerdings auch denkbar, dass eine Mehr  zahl von     Rändern    gleichzeitig vulkanisiert werden.

  According to the invention, the problem is solved in such a way that the edges of a non-slip covering made of a rubber compound are vulcanized together on the underside of the carpet at the same time as the rubber compound is vulcanized.



  The production of the carpet edging is done in the same way as described in the main patent, with a non-slip rubber covering only instead of the bottom edge strip. This non-slip covering, like the Randma material, consists of a rubber compound, for example raw rubber, and has a somewhat roughened appearance on the bottom surface. This covering is now vulcanized together with the edge and simultaneously with the vulcanization of this edge with the latter inextricably linked at elevated temperature.



  Within the edge, the non-slip covering is therefore not connected to the carpet, but lies loosely against the surface of the carpet facing the floor.



  The manufacturing process is usually such that one edge of the carpet is vulcanized after the other; however, it would also be conceivable that a plurality of edges are vulcanized at the same time.

PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zum Einfassen von auf ihre endgültigen Abmessungen vorbereiteten Teppichen, wobei die Teppichränder und/oder die an den Teppichrändern endenden Fasern mindestens an einem Teil des Tep pichumfanges mit einer Kautschukmasse versehen und damit durch Vulkanisieren der Kautschukmasse un lösbar verbunden werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass auf der Teppichunterseite gleichzeitig mit dem Vulkanisieren der Kautschukmasse die Ränder eines rutschfesten Belages aus einer Kautschukmasse zu sammenvulkanisiert werden.
