Clasp The object of the present invention is a clasp, in particular for a bracelet.
This clasp comprises an elongated body in the form of a gutter, in which slides, against the action of a spring, an elongated part, at the end of which opposite to that of the direction in which the spring acts, a lever is articulated. which, while fighting on this part, clings to it by the end opposite the said articulation.
In order to increase its safety in this closed position, this clasp is characterized, according to the invention, by the fact that the free end of the lever ends in a U-shaped element, open towards the front and which , in the forward position of the smoothing neck piece and its folded lever, hooks into an element also U-shaped, but in the opposite direction to the previous one and integral with the elongated body in the form of a gutter.
The appended drawing represents an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example. 'Fig. 1 is a longitudinal axial section of the closed clasp.
Fig. 2 shows it during opening, when the two U-shaped elements are released from one another.
Fig. 3 represents it open, that is to say with raised articulated lever.
Fig. 4, finally, is a section through IV-IV of fig. 1.
The type of clasp shown comprises, as has been said, an elongated body 1 in the form of a gutter (see section of FIG. 4), the edges of which have a folded part 2, intended to retain a part 3, while at the same time. allowing to slide longitudinally.
This part, also in the form of a gutter, but reversed with respect to the first, covers a spring 4 trapped in the whole and bearing, on the one hand against a bent portion of the body 1, on the other hand. part against a similarly bent position 3 'of part 3.
As can be seen, this spring tends to push the part 3 to the left with respect to the drawing in the body 1.
At the end opposite to this direction, part 3 has an articulation 5 of a lever 6 capable of folding over said part and of hooking onto it by its end opposite to the articulation, against the angled part 3 'and for this spoke its slightly inclined inwards.
This lever constitutes the closure of the clasp, it can be seen in the open position in FIG. 3 and it is in space 7 that the element of the brace let to be temporarily connected to the clasp is hooked.
The part of the free end of the lever 6 cooperating in detent with the part 3 has a U-shaped opening profile directed towards the front and the lower branch 8 of which is engaged, in the closed position of FIG. 1, under the upper branch 9 of a counterpart, also U-shaped, of the body 1. The lever 6 is thus held in. its closed position, not only by the notch, but also by this grip, which constitutes its security.
To open the clasp, you must first push the part 3 - lever 6 assembly back, against the action of the spring 4, in the position of FIG. 2 for disengaging the interpenetration of the two U-profiles. Only then does it become possible, by disengaging the lever from the notch, to lift it, open it, in the position of FIG. 3.
It will be closed by performing the operations described in reverse order, i.e. folding the lever and engaging the notch and releasing to the action of the spring 4.
