Faltschachtel
Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Darstellung der Faltschachtel und
Fig. 2 eine Abwicklung der Faltschachtel gemäss Fig. 1.
Folding box
The present invention relates to an open folding box with parallel front side parts and parallel long side parts folded on the bottom and with a pocket-forming lid part which is folded to one of the front side parts and which rests against a long side part with a folded side part.
In such known folding boxes, which are made of semi-rigid film material, preferably half cardboard, and are used to pack napkins, handkerchiefs and the like, the abutting or overlapping box parts are connected by gluing and / or staples after folding.
The present invention aims to create a folding box which allows the pre-folded box parts to be joined together without the laborious process of gluing and / or stapling. This is achieved according to the invention in that a flap is folded on each side of the lid part, which extends through a slot provided on the edge between the relevant longitudinal side part and the box bottom, and that a flap is folded in on the front side part opposite the pocket one part rests on the inside of this end face part, extends with its free end over part of the box bottom and rests against a stop tab formed by a slot in the box bottom,
with folded tongues at the edges of the longitudinal side parts being held in a clamping manner between the end face part and the flap part resting against it.
With this embodiment of the folding box according to the invention, it is now possible to connect both the abutting and the overlapping box parts without jamming or stapling by simply inserting the tabs or the tab into the slots provided for this purpose so that they remain in their predetermined position .
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the folding box and
FIG. 2 shows a development of the folding box according to FIG. 1.
According to FIG. 1, the box bottom 10, which has a rectangular shape, is surrounded by parallel styrofoam side parts 11 and 12 and parallel longitudinal side parts 13, 14, which are folded at right angles on the bottom.
On the end face 11, a cover part 15 is folded, which covers a part of the base 10 at a distance from it and forms a pocket into which the goods to be packaged with the aid of the folding box are inserted. Flaps 16 and 17 prevent the lid part from being opened and the abutting edges of the end face 11 and the abutting long sides 13 and 14 prevent them from opening. These flaps are crimped onto side parts 18 and 19, which in turn are crimped onto the outer edges of the lid part 15. The side parts 18 and 19 rest on the outside against the parallel longitudinal sides 13 and 14, while the tabs 16 and 17 each extend through a slot 20 and 21 (FIG. 2).
The slots 20 and 21 are arranged on the edge between the relevant longitudinal side part 13 or 14 and the box bottom 10. In order to prevent the tabs from accidentally slipping out of the relevant slots, each tab 16 or 17 is widened from the fold to a width that is greater than that of the slot 20 or 21. As the schematic representation of the tabs inserted into the slots in FIG. 2 clearly shows, the tab inserted into the slot engages with the incisions 22 behind the slot edges.
A flap 23 is also folded on to the end face part 12 of the folding box opposite the pocket. This tab 23 rests with a part 23a on the inside of the end face part 12, while its free, beveled end rests on the box bottom 10 and rests with its outermost edge on a stop tab 24 formed by a slot in the box bottom 10. This stop is necessary to prevent unintentional displacement of the flap and thus a gap between the two adjacent surfaces on the end face. Tongues 25 and 26 are used to connect this end face to the abutting longitudinal side parts, which are crimped on the abutting edges of the longitudinal side parts 13 and 14 and which clamp between the end face part 12 and the tab part 23a resting against it.
As can easily be seen, the folding box described above can be produced in a simple manner, with sufficient dimensional stability of the folded box being ensured without the need for gluing or stapling.
FIG. 2 shows a development of the folding box described above, the cuts being made along the stronger lines, while the thinner lines of the development are to be folded.
