Description

Infinitely variable friction gear The invention relates to a continuously variable friction gear with at least two essentially cone-shaped rotating bodies surrounded by a rolling ring that drives them together and displaceable parallel to itself, one of which is with the drive shaft and the other with the output shaft is connected, whereby the rotation coming from the drive shaft is transmitted to the drive shaft while converting its speed.

According to the invention, the rotating bodies are arranged on coaxial shafts.

In the drawing, several Ausführungsbei games of the friction gear according to the invention are shown schematically. FIGS. 1 and 2 show an axial longitudinal section through the transmission with hydraulic or mechanical support of the rotating bodies, FIG. 3 the rolling body according to FIG. 1 in a diagrammatic representation and FIG. 4 a third embodiment of the transmission in a side view.

The friction transmission according to FIG. 1 has two conical rotating bodies 2, 3, which are seated on the drive shaft 1 and whose tapered ends are turned away from one another. The rotating body 2 is keyed onto the shaft 1 and has, at its end facing the rotating body 3, a sleeve-shaped extension 4, which is located between two hollow cylinders, which are closed on one side and lying inside one another 5 and 6 is clamped. The hollow cylinder 5 has a ring 8 protruding above its base 7 , which is located on the base 9 of the hollow cylinder 6 and includes a space 10 for receiving a liquid cushion.

A set of disc springs 11 is arranged in the hollow cylinder 5 , which are grouped around the drive shaft 1 and between the base, 7 </ B> of the cylinder 5 and a sleeve 13 resting on the shoulder 12 of the shaft 1 . The hollow cylinder 6 is supported by a neck bearing 14 on the rotating body 3 , in whose bore needle bearings 15 are arranged, by means of which the rotating body < B> 3 is slidably mounted on the shaft 1 .

The rotating bodies 2, 3 are enclosed by a ring 16 serving as a rolling body, which is guided between rollers 17 at two diametrically opposite locations is. In the present case, as FIG. 3 shows, there are three rollers 17 each arranged in the corners of a triangular plate 18 ”. B> is provided at each free end of a fork 19 which can be axially displaced via a hydraulic piston 20. The ring 16 can be designed in any way.

In the area of the contact points of the ring 16 with the rotating bodies 2, 3 , nozzles 22 are provided through which cooling liquid Cr can be sprayed onto the rolling surfaces. In contrast to the position shown, the nozzles 22 can be rotated by 90 ' into the plane of the ring, in which case they are tangential to the contact points between the ring 16 and the rotating body 2, 3 lie.

The output takes place via a helically toothed wheel 23 which is connected to the rotating body 3 .

The space 10 between the bases 7, 9 of the cylinders 5, 6 is above the one in the axis of the shaft 1 </ B > The running channel 24 and a non-return valve (not shown) are connected to a pump system. Instead of liquid gas can also be used. To seal the fluid paths, sealing rings 25 are provided between the sleeve-shaped part 4 and the cylinders 5, 6 on the one hand, and these and the shaft 1 on the other.

The described gear works in the following way: The drive shaft 1 takes the cone body 2 with it. This drives the ring 16 , which in turn sets the rotating body 3 in rotation. The cup springs 11 and the pressure of the liquid in space 10 ensure sufficient contact pressure between rotating bodies 2, 3 and ring 16 , wherein by a back pressure generating element, z. B. the helical toothing, 'on the output gear 23 the contact pressure can be increased even further.

If the transmission ratio is to be changed, the ring 16 is displaced by the piston 20 in the direction of its axis. The ring 16 can also be adjusted in the radial direction between the rollers 17 . As a result of this parallel adjustment resulting from the axial and radial displacement, the ring 16 on the rotating body 2 reaches a conical ring of smaller diameter and on the rotating body 3 a conical ring of a larger diameter or vice versa to the edition.

The pressure of the liquid in space 10 increases as the power to be transmitted increases.

In the embodiment of the transmission according to FIG. 2, similar conditions as in the case of the one described above with the only difference that instead of the liquid cushion in space 10 flyweights 26 are provided, which are slidably mounted by means of the sliding pieces 27 in radial grooves 28 of the rotating body 2 coupled to the drive shaft 1 . The flyweights 26 are provided with a bevel 29 on which a corresponding bevel 30 of a pressure piece 31 rests, which in turn is supported on the rotating body 3 via the disc springs 11 and the neck bearing 14.

The centrifugal weights 26 have a tendency to move outwards at increasing speed, whereby they compress the springs 11 via the pressure piece 31 and thus the Increase the contact pressure on the contact surfaces between the rotating bodies 2, 3 and the ring 16 . The drive takes place via the shaft 33 , which forms an integral part of the rotating body 3 . The adjustment of the ring can take place hydraulically, similarly to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1.

The friction transmission according to FIG. 4 has two rotating bodies 2 ', 3', each designed as a double cone, of which one 2 'with the drive shaft 1 </ B > and the other 3 ' is connected to the output shaft 33 or, as shown in the drawing, consists of one piece. Both rotating bodies 2 ', 3' are provided with each a pin 54, 55 at the ends facing one another which are stored in a plunger 56 or 57 . The two plungers 56 and 57 are housed in a stationary housing 58 , which is connected to an oil pressure line (not shown).

The rotating bodies 2 ', 3' are made of two rings 16, 16, which are guided at two essentially diametrically opposite points between two pairs of rollers 59, 60 and have their axes of rotation offset from one another 'enclosed. The roller pairs 59, 60 of the two diametrically opposed roller systems are arranged to be adjustable against one another and similar to the construction according to FIG. 3 via a carrier 18 attached to a fork-shaped arm 19 , which is mounted stationary at 61 and is connected to a lifting system (not shown) via spars 62 .

The transmission according to FIG. 4 operates similarly to the transmission of the two embodiments described above. When the rings 16, 16 ' are adjusted, the roller pairs 59, 60 can be adjusted to any position of the rings 16, 16' to adjust. The pressure of the liquid prevailing between the plungers 57, 58 ensures sufficient contact pressure between the double cones 2 ', 3' and the rings 16, 16 ' / B>

The adjustment of the lifting system can be done in any way. B. be done by electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic means or by hand.

Of course, various design changes can be made in the context of the invention. For example, it is possible to use a sliding finger arrangement instead of the roller guide to guide the friction rings.
