Electrode holder for electric welding systems working with low-voltage alternating current According to the present invention, an electrode holder for electric welding systems working with low-voltage alternating current is characterized in that the power connection and clamping device for the exchangeable electrodes is at the free end of a resilient oscillating arm that forms part of a ferromagnetic flux circuit is attached, this free end of the oscillating armature from the end of a rigid magnet circle part, which is wound with a winding carrying the working current, ge by an air gap separates.
This enables the electrode to be forced in its longitudinal direction during welding under the effect of the alternating magnetic field induced by the welding current in the air gap. This primarily facilitates the ignition of the arc when the electrode tip is placed at the welding point, without the risk of the electrode sticking to the weld metal and the current becoming too high, which can lead to damage, especially when welding thin sheets. Furthermore, the flowing metal is mitvi bred and wired by the vibration of the electrode and there is no lump accumulation in the weld seam.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing as a longitudinal section Darge.
A U-shaped magnetic sheet metal body 20 is fastened in a handle housing 1 made of insulating material with the aid of the through-bolts 21, 22. At the end of its one transverse leg, one end of a resilient oscillating armature arm 24 designed as a ferromagnetic sheet-metal package is attached which, together with the rigid magnetic flux body 20, forms a magnetic flux circuit that is closed except for the air gap 25. On the underside facing away from the air gap 25 at the free, oscillating armature end, a power connection and holding device for the electrode 3 is attached.
It consists of a block 31 made of conductor material which encloses an inner chamber 32 into which the upper end of the electrode is to be inserted.
A rotatably mounted at 33, standing under the action of a compression spring 34 cam lever 35 bil det the clamping member for the electrode 3 and is mechanically coupled via a wire 36 with a ge at 37 in the handle housing, from this protruding release lever 38. By pressing this lever 38 with a finger, the cam lever for changing the electrodes 3 can be released.
The fixed sheet metal body 20 is wrapped in a copper wire winding 4, which is connected to the secondary pole 42 of a welding transformer via a connecting terminal 41. The second end of the winding is connected to the screw 22 so that the welding current itself could flow to the electrode holder block 31 via the magnetic flux circuit. However, a flexible conductor strip 43 connects this block 31 directly to the connection screw 22, i.e. H. with the second end of the winding 4.
A rotatable, preferably provided with a pointer mark disc 51 is connected via a bolt 52 to a ferromagnetic disc 53, which is locally differently thick on its circumference and protrudes into the air gap 25. Thus, the resting thickness of the air gap 25 and thus the Hubampli tude, under the action of the alternating field induced by the welding current flowing through the winding 4 in the air gap 25 forced oscillation of the oscillating armature 24 can be regulated as desired.
A compressed air hose can be connected to a connecting sleeve 61 at the rear end of the handle in order to be able to conduct compressed air to the chamber 32 in the electrode holder block 31 via a pipe 62 in the handle housing. This compressed air line contains a shut-off valve 63, the actuating member 64 of which protrudes from the handle housing.
If longitudinally drilled hollow electrodes are used, compressed air can be directed to the burning point in the arc zone. It burns the molten metal, blows it away and guards the electrode. This makes cutting burn with electric welding systems easier. Sol che hollow electrodes can, for. B. as aussenverku pferte hollow electrodes, z. B. made of coal.
