Description

Surface for road surfaces and traffic routes The present invention relates to a surface for road surface and traffic routes, which differs from the usual road surfaces in that it is interspersed with rubber shot.

Such surfaces, which are suitable for gravel, macadam, as well as rammed and mastic asphalt roads, not only guarantee the vehicles circulating on them particularly good track security, but are also characterized by largely noiselessness and freedom from vibration. In addition, due to their great elastic deformability, such coverings are largely insensitive to mechanical loads and forest effects.

The pavement can consist, for example, of a gravel layer of small stone chips interspersed with rubber shot and bitumen, or a mixture of bitumen and rubber shot or a mixture of rubber shot and rammed or mastic asphalt. It is also possible to split the rubber shot onto the ceiling surface using a bituminous binding agent.

In an exemplary embodiment, the pavement can consist of at least approximately 60 percent by volume of rubber shot and 40% of stony fillers and / or bituminous binders, with the rubber shot being up to 90 percent by volume in extreme cases.

The rubber shot can be added to the other constituents of the covering in any grain size, for example as gravel or grit or even as a coarse powder. The rubber shot can expediently be obtained from waste from the rubber processing industry.
