Table de massage et de manipulations
La présente invention a pour objet une table de massage et de manipulations, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend un support réglable en hauteur, ledit support comportant un cadre tubulaire de forme oblongue, monté sur au moins deux pieds, une planche formant le dessus-de-table étant fixée par sa partie postérieure sur ledit cadre et étant articuIée au moyen d'une charnière à sa partie antérieure formant dossier à inclinaison variable, une têtière escamotable étant fixée au moyen d'une articulation sur le côté latéral antérieur du cadre tubulaire, ladite têtière, retenue au moyen d'un crochet dans sa position de repos sous ledit cadre, pouvant être rabattue audessus de la table de massage pour recevoir entre ses deux appuis le visage du patient en position allongée sur un coussin recouvrant ladite planche,
le tout étant agencé de ananière à permettre au physiothérapeute d'adapter la table à la hauteur convenable de travail et d'ajuster son dossier à l'inclinaison voulue pour effectuer le traitement nécessité par l'état de santé du patient.
Le dessin schématique annexé, donné à titre d'exemple, représente une forme d'exécution de la table objet de l'invention.
Les fig. 1 à 4 représentent partiellement l'ensemble de la table, la fig. 1 étant une vue en élévation ; la fig. 2, une vue en plan de la fig. 1; la fig. 3, une vue en bout de la partie antérieure de la table, et la fig. 4, une vue en bout de la partie postérieure de cette table.
La fig. 5, à une plus grande échelle, est une vue partielle en élévation en coupe, suivant la ligne V-V de la fig. 6, de la partie antérieure de la table.

La table de massage, dans la forme d'exécution représentée, comprend un support 1 comportant un cadre tubulaire 2, de forme oblongue, soutenu par deux pieds, I'un antérieur 3, l'autre postérieur 3'. Le cadre 2, formé d'un tube cintré à chacun de ses angles, est consolidé par des traverses destinées, notamment, à la fixation des pieds 3, 3', la table étant réglable en hauteur au moyen d'un dispositif comportant un arbre central 4, parallèle aux côtés longitudinaux du cadre 2.
Sur l'extrémité antérieure de l'arbre 4 (fig. 5 et 6) est fixé un pignon 5 engrenant avec une roue dentée 6. Le pignon 5 et la roue 6 sont logés dans une boîte de transmission 7 fixée sur deux traverses 8 et 9 du cadre 2. La roue dentée 6 est fixée sur l'extrémité supérieure d'un arbre 10 dont l'extrémité inférieure est pourvue d'un pas de vis hélicoïdal 1 1 (fig. 7), ledit pas de vis étant engagé dans un écrou 12 fixé sur la paroi intérieure d'un tube extérieur 13 formant, avec une traverse inférieure 14, le pied antérieur 3 de la table.
Sur le fond de la boîte 7 est fixée l'extrémité supérieure d'un tube 15 (fig. 5), ledit tube 15 pouvant glisser à l'intérieur du tube 13. Le déplacement vertical du tube 15 est limité par deux butées, la butée supérieure étant formée par une bague 16 fixée sur l'extrémité supérieure de la paroi intérieure du tube 13, l'extrémité inférieure du tube 15 venant en contact, dans sa course descendante, avec l'écrou 12 formant la butée inférieure de ce déplacement.
Au voisinage de l'extrémité postérieure de l'arbre 4 (fig. 8 et 9) est fixé un pignon 17 engrenant avec une roue dentée 18, ce pignon et cette roue étant logés dans une boîte de transmission 19, ladite boîte étant fixée sur deux traverses 20, 21 du cadre 2. Le pied postérieur 3' de la table est constitué de la même manière que celle décrite pour le pied antérieur 3.
L'arbre 4 est actionné au moyen d'un volant 22 pourvu d'une poignée 23 et fixé sur un embout 24, l'extrémité libre dudit embout pouvant pivoter sur un axe 25, ledit axe étant fixé sur les deux branches d'une chape 26 formée par l'extrémité postérieure de l'arbre 4. Un manchon 27, entourant l'embout 24, est destiné à maintenir par coulissement, dans la position représentée en traits mixtes en fig. 1, l'embout 24 et l'arbre 4 dans le prolongement l'un de l'autre pendant la manceuvre de réglage en hauteur de la table.
Sur le cadre 2 du support 1 est fixée une planche 28 (fig. 10 à 14), formant dessus-de-table, ladite planche comprenant une partie postérieure fixe 29 et une partie antérieure 30 formant un dossier à inclinaison variable. Sur chacun des longerons du cadre 2 sont soudées, d'une part, l'extrémité respective d'une traverse métallique 31 fixée, par exemple, par des vis, sur la partie postérieure 29 de la planche 28 et, d'autre part, l'aile horizontale 32 (fig. 13) d'une cornière 33 formant le bord antérieur de la partie postérieure 29.
Une cornière 34, semblable à la cornière 33, est fixée sur le bord postérieur du dossier 30, l'intervalle compris entre les ailes verticales des cornières 33 et 34 étant destiné à loger une charnière 35 d'articulation du dossier 30, les éléments de cette charnière étant fixés alternativement sur lesdites ailes de cornières.
Le dossier 30 est, en outre, pourvu sur sa face inférieure d'une bande métallique 36, disposée en forme de U. Sur la partie de la bande 36 (fig. 14), orientée parallèlement au bord antérieur du dossier 30, est fixée une charnière 37 de pivotement d'une tige 38, ladite tige servant à supporter le dossier 30 dans la position d'inclinaison voulue. A cet effet, une chape 39 (fig. 3 et 6) est fixée sous la traverse 9 du cadre 2, I'intervalle compris entre les branches de la chape servant de logement à une entretoise 40 de guidage de la tige 38. L'entretoise 40, de forme cylindrique, est pourvue d'une ouverture diamétrale pour le passage de la tige 38 et peut tourillonner à l'une de ses extrémités sur un axe 41 fixé sur l'une des branches de la chape 39.
Le corps de l'entretoise est, en outre, pourvu d'un taraudage central dans lequel est engagée extrémité filetée 42 d'un arbre transversal 43, ledit arbre étant engagé dans une bride de support 44, fixée sous le cadre tubulaire et étant pourvu à son extrémité libre d'une manivelle 45 permettant de bloquer la tige 38 dans la position d'inclinaison voulue du dossier 30.
Des tampons élastiques 46 (fig. 5 et 6) sont fixés sur la face inférieure de la partie antérieure du dossier 30, lesdits tampons étant destinés à reposer sur le cadre tubulaire 2 lorsque le dossier est placé dans sa position horizontale.
Sur la planche 28 du dessus-de-table est posé un coussin 47 (fig. 15) de recouvrement, ledit coussin étant rembourré d'un tissu cellulaire 48. La face inférieure du coussin est pourvue d'une ouverture 49 permettant de mettre en contact le tissu cellulaire avec la planche 28 pour empêcher le coussin de glisser.
Le cadre tubulaire 2 est pourvu d'une chape 50 (fig. 5 et 6) fixée, par exemple par soudure, sur le côté latéral antérieur dudit cadre. Sur un axe 51 fixé dans les branches de la chape 50 peut pivoter un embout 52 (fig. 16 à 18), de forme cylindrique, faisant partie d'une têtière escamotable 53. L'embout 52 est relié à une barrette 54 par une tige 55, de forme générale en col de cygne. Sur la barrette 54 peut coulisser un curseur 56 pourvu à sa partie antérieure d'un arceau 57, ledit arceau étant orienté transversalement par rapport à la barrette.
A chacune des extrémités de l'arceau, située au-dessus du curseur, est fixé un coussin 58, 58'respectivement, lesdits coussins formant des appuie-tête. Le curseur 56 est pourvu à son extrémité postérieure d'une vis 59 de blocage et d'un disque 60 d'appui de la têtière sur le coussin 47.
En position de repos, la têtière 53 est maintenue sous le cadre tubulaire 2 au moyen d'un crochet 61 dans la position représentée à la fig. 1, ledit crochet étant suspendu par son extrémité supérieure, en forme de boucle, à un étrier 62 fixé sur la traverse antérieure 8 du cadre 2. En libérant le crochet 61 et en faisant basculer la tige 55 d'environ 1800 vers l'avant, la têtière 53 occupe la position représentée dans les fig. 5 et 6, le dossier 30 reposant sur le cadre 2.
Dans la partie postérieure du cadre tubulaire 2 sont aménagés deux tiroirs destinés à renfermer le matériel du physiothérapeute. A cet effet, deux glissières 63, 63' (fig. 8 et 9) sont fixées, par exemple par soudure, sous les longerons du cadre 2 et orientées transversalement par rapport à l'arbre central 4. Dans chacune de ces glissières, de section en forme de U couché, peuvent coulisser les ailes horizontales de cornière 64, 64' respectivement, les ailes verticales de ces cornières étant fixées respectivement sur la face extérieure des parois longitudinales de deux tiroirs 65, 65'respectivement, placés symétriquement par rapport audit arbre central.
La table de massage décrite permet, d'une part, de placer l'ensemble formé par le cadre tubulaire 2, la planche du dessus-de-table 28 et le coussin 47 à la hauteur voulue en actionnant le volant de réglage 22 et, d'autre part, de fixer le dossier 30 à l'inclinaison voulue en manoeuvrant la manivelle 45 de manière que l'arbre transversal 43 bloque la tige 38 de support dudit dossier, ces opérations pouvant être effectuées par le physiothérapeute sans qu'il ne soit gêné par la têtière escamotable 53.

The appended schematic drawing, given by way of example, represents an embodiment of the table which is the subject of the invention.

The massage table, in the embodiment shown, comprises a support 1 comprising a tubular frame 2, of oblong shape, supported by two feet, one anterior 3, the other posterior 3 '. The frame 2, formed of a tube bent at each of its angles, is consolidated by cross members intended, in particular, for fixing the legs 3, 3 ', the table being adjustable in height by means of a device comprising a shaft central 4, parallel to the longitudinal sides of the frame 2.
On the front end of the shaft 4 (fig. 5 and 6) is fixed a pinion 5 meshing with a toothed wheel 6. The pinion 5 and the wheel 6 are housed in a gearbox 7 fixed on two cross members 8 and 9 of the frame 2. The toothed wheel 6 is fixed to the upper end of a shaft 10, the lower end of which is provided with a helical screw thread 1 1 (Fig. 7), said thread being engaged in a nut 12 fixed to the inner wall of an outer tube 13 forming, with a lower cross member 14, the front leg 3 of the table.
On the bottom of the box 7 is fixed the upper end of a tube 15 (fig. 5), said tube 15 being able to slide inside the tube 13. The vertical displacement of the tube 15 is limited by two stops, the upper stop being formed by a ring 16 fixed to the upper end of the inner wall of the tube 13, the lower end of the tube 15 coming into contact, in its downward stroke, with the nut 12 forming the lower stop of this movement .
In the vicinity of the rear end of the shaft 4 (fig. 8 and 9) is fixed a pinion 17 meshing with a toothed wheel 18, this pinion and this wheel being housed in a transmission box 19, said box being fixed on two cross members 20, 21 of the frame 2. The rear leg 3 'of the table is made in the same way as that described for the front leg 3.
The shaft 4 is actuated by means of a handwheel 22 provided with a handle 23 and fixed on an end piece 24, the free end of said end piece being able to pivot on an axis 25, said axis being fixed on the two branches of a yoke 26 formed by the rear end of the shaft 4. A sleeve 27, surrounding the end piece 24, is intended to hold by sliding, in the position shown in phantom lines in FIG. 1, the end piece 24 and the shaft 4 in the extension of one another during the height adjustment maneuver of the table.
On the frame 2 of the support 1 is fixed a board 28 (fig. 10 to 14), forming a table top, said board comprising a fixed rear part 29 and a front part 30 forming a backrest with variable inclination. On each of the side members of the frame 2 are welded, on the one hand, the respective end of a metal cross member 31 fixed, for example, by screws, on the rear part 29 of the board 28 and, on the other hand, the horizontal wing 32 (fig. 13) of an angle 33 forming the anterior edge of the posterior part 29.
An angle 34, similar to the angle 33, is fixed to the rear edge of the backrest 30, the interval between the vertical wings of the angles 33 and 34 being intended to accommodate a hinge 35 of the backrest 30, the elements of this hinge being fixed alternately on said wings of angles.
The backrest 30 is, moreover, provided on its underside with a metal strip 36, arranged in the shape of a U. On the part of the strip 36 (fig. 14), oriented parallel to the front edge of the backrest 30, is fixed a hinge 37 for pivoting a rod 38, said rod serving to support the backrest 30 in the desired tilting position. To this end, a yoke 39 (Fig. 3 and 6) is fixed under the cross member 9 of the frame 2, the interval between the branches of the yoke serving as a housing for a spacer 40 for guiding the rod 38. The spacer 40, of cylindrical shape, is provided with a diametrical opening for the passage of the rod 38 and can be journaled at one of its ends on a pin 41 fixed on one of the branches of the yoke 39.
The body of the spacer is furthermore provided with a central thread in which is engaged the threaded end 42 of a transverse shaft 43, said shaft being engaged in a support flange 44, fixed under the tubular frame and being provided at its free end, a crank 45 making it possible to block the rod 38 in the desired tilting position of the backrest 30.
Elastic buffers 46 (Figs. 5 and 6) are fixed on the underside of the front part of the backrest 30, said buffers being intended to rest on the tubular frame 2 when the backrest is placed in its horizontal position.
A covering cushion 47 (fig. 15) is placed on the board 28 of the table top, said cushion being padded with a cellular tissue 48. The underside of the cushion is provided with an opening 49 for placing in contact the cellular tissue with the plank 28 to prevent the pad from slipping.
The tubular frame 2 is provided with a yoke 50 (FIGS. 5 and 6) fixed, for example by welding, to the front lateral side of said frame. On a pin 51 fixed in the branches of the yoke 50 can pivot a tip 52 (Fig. 16 to 18), of cylindrical shape, forming part of a retractable faceplate 53. The tip 52 is connected to a bar 54 by a rod 55, generally in the shape of a swan neck. On the bar 54 can slide a cursor 56 provided at its front part with a hoop 57, said hoop being oriented transversely with respect to the bar.
At each of the ends of the hoop, located above the slider, is fixed a cushion 58, 58 'respectively, said cushions forming headrests. The slider 56 is provided at its rear end with a locking screw 59 and a disc 60 for supporting the headrest on the cushion 47.
In the rest position, the headrest 53 is held under the tubular frame 2 by means of a hook 61 in the position shown in FIG. 1, said hook being suspended by its upper end, in the form of a loop, from a stirrup 62 fixed to the front cross member 8 of the frame 2. By releasing the hook 61 and by tilting the rod 55 about 1800 forwards , the headrest 53 occupies the position shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the backrest 30 resting on the frame 2.
In the posterior part of the tubular frame 2 are arranged two drawers intended to contain the physiotherapist's equipment. To this end, two slides 63, 63 '(fig. 8 and 9) are fixed, for example by welding, under the side members of the frame 2 and oriented transversely with respect to the central shaft 4. In each of these slides, U-shaped section lying, can slide the horizontal wings of angle iron 64, 64 'respectively, the vertical wings of these angles being fixed respectively on the outer face of the longitudinal walls of two drawers 65, 65' respectively, placed symmetrically with respect to said central shaft.
The described massage table makes it possible, on the one hand, to place the assembly formed by the tubular frame 2, the table top board 28 and the cushion 47 at the desired height by operating the adjustment wheel 22 and, on the other hand, to fix the backrest 30 at the desired inclination by operating the crank 45 so that the transverse shaft 43 blocks the support rod 38 of said backrest, these operations being able to be carried out by the physiotherapist without him is hampered by the retractable headrest 53.
