Nozzle for spraying atomizable liquids
The invention relates to a nozzle for spraying liquids which can be atomized and which, in front of their ejection opening, has a conically narrowing space to which tangentially and peripherally distributed channels lead. With such nozzles, the liquid flow supplied under high pressure is divided by the swirl channels and brought into a rotating movement and then accelerated through the passage of the conical space and fed to the outlet opening of the nozzle, where the liquid is atomized as it leaves the nozzle.
Nozzles of this type are known in which the swirling arrangement and various atomizing devices form two separate structural parts. The swirl channels are rarely exactly centered on the swirl kogel and the outlet opening of the nozzle, which results in inadequate atomization.
It is also known to press the so-called swirl head into the body with swirl passages into the actual nozzle body. Apart from the fact that deformations of the swirl channels sometimes occur during the pressing in, these nozzles can no longer be taken apart, which is necessary in order to be able to remove blockages and to be able to carry out cleaning.
The aim of the invention is to create a nozzle which has swirl passages, swirl cones and nozzle bore in a single body and which leaves these arrangements exposed.
The nozzle according to the invention is characterized in that in a sleeve-shaped union nut first a nozzle plate, which is arranged in the middle with the outlet opening and on the supply side a centrally arranged bore leading to the outlet opening and at least at the outlet opening conical, concentric to it spaced an annular groove and leading from this tangential to the bore at least two Ver bundungsnuten, 'and a cover plate is inserted thereon, which has distributed through bores in an area corresponding to the annular groove of the nozzle plate.
According to the invention, the nozzle consists of three parts, namely a union nut, a nozzle plate and a cover plate. By means of the union nut; these three parts are screwed together on the nozzle tip of a spray device and easily and conveniently unscrewed and relocated again. The nozzle bore, the swirl cone and the swirl grooves can be machined in a single clamping on the lathe. This ensures that they are in perfect position relative to one another and that they are precisely dimensioned. It is possible to use any nozzle. give the same atomizing effect.
All nozzle facilities are easily accessible for cleaning when the nozzle has been removed and disassembled into its three parts.
According to a particular embodiment, the nozzle plate can widen connecting grooves, the cross section of which decreases in the direction from the annular groove to the centrally located bore. In this way, the liquid kaits flow can already experience an acceleration at this point.
Furthermore, in the case of the nozzle plate, the centrally located bore on the supply side can have a cylindrical mouth at the outlet opening of the nozzle and can have a conical shape.
The cover plate of the nozzle according to the invention can have an annular groove on the covering side, which corresponds in position to the annular groove of the nozzle plate. When the nozzle is screwed on, the annular groove of the nozzle plate and the annular groove of the cover plate form a common annular channel. If the nozzle plate and cover plate are tight when screwing on the nozzle. are pressed against each other and about one deformation occurs on the cover plate, edge deformations cannot occur in the through bores of the cover plate.
For the same reason, a circular depression can be provided centrally on the non-covering side of the cover plate, which recess encompasses the through bores.
The through-bores of the cover plate can have an inclined position which corresponds to the direction of twist of the connecting grooves of the nozzle plate. In this way, the flow of the liquid to be atomized can be given a twisting motion as soon as it passes the cover plate.
In the drawing, embodiments of the nozzle according to the invention are shown, for example.
Show it
1 shows a nozzle in longitudinal section,
2 shows the nozzle plate in view of the side of the liquid supply,
3 shows a nozzle plate of another embodiment in the same view,
4 shows the cover plate in perspective. on the side facing the nozzle plate, Fig. 5 di, e same cover plate in view of the other side,
6 shows the section VI-VI of the nozzle plate according to FIG. 3.
The drawing shows the nozzle representation in large enlargement. eration. The natural nozzle outside diameter is, for example, 15 mm.
According to FIG. 1, a nozzle plate 1 is inserted into a sleeve-shaped union nut 3 with thread 11 against an annular shoulder 12. On. this following is egg. ne cover plate 2 arranged. By means of the thread 11, the union nut 3 is screwed onto a nozzle nipple attached to a spray gun, the nozzle plate 1 and the cover plate 2 being firmly pressed together by being supported against the annular shoulder 12.
The nozzle plate 1 has the outlet opening 4 centrally located on the resting side. A conical bore 5 leads to the outlet opening 4 from the other side. An annular groove 7 is provided concentrically at a distance from the bore 5. From this, as can be seen from FIG. 2, three connecting grooves 6, evenly distributed, lead tangentially to the bore 5.
The cover plate 2 is provided on the covering side with an annular groove 9 which corresponds to the annular groove 7 of the nozzle plate 1. On the other side of the cover plate 2, a circular recess 10 is arranged in the center, the radius of which corresponds to the outer radius of the annular groove 9.
Bores 8 lead from the recess 10 to the annular groove 9, compare FIGS. 4 and 5.
The liquid to be atomized, which is under pressure, hits first. the cover plate 2. Here it reaches the circular recess 10 and from there through the through bores 8 into the annular space which is formed by the annular grooves 9, 7 which overlap.
From there it flows through the connecting grooves 6 into the bore 5, where, due to the tangential introduction in the direction of the arrow drawn in FIG. The cross section of the connecting grooves 6 decreases in the direction of the bore 5, as a result of which the liquid is given an acceleration as it flows through these connecting grooves 6.
According to FIG. 3, two connecting grooves 6 are arranged in the nozzle plate 1. The number and also the cross-section of the connecting grooves 6 generally depends on the counterpressure to be generated for the liquid supplied under pressure, so that the liquid always leaves the nozzle under the desired pressure. In order not to have to reduce the cross section of the connecting grooves 6 too much if necessary, which could give rise to blockages, only two connecting grooves are provided according to FIG. 3.
According to FIGS. 3 and 6, the bore 5 is initially cylindrical and the connecting grooves 6 lead into the cylindrical part of the bore 5.
The connecting grooves 6 have a constant cross section, can. but also, as can be seen from FIG. 1, decrease in cross section towards the bore 5.
According to FIG. 5, the through-bore 8 is arranged obliquely in the direction of the swirl movement, so that the liquid already executes a swirl movement in the annular groove 9, 7.
