Description
Installation for the deposition of metal layers by electrolysis Electrolysis installations are already known for the purpose of depositing metal layers on objects to be treated arranged at the cathode, which are provided with devices allowing, during electrolysis, the friction of these objects. These devices usually include, mounted on or disposed near the electrode, sponge pads, etc., imbibed with electrolyte, or a brush.
The object of the present invention is an electrical installation of the aforementioned type. It is characterized by the fact that the aforementioned friction device comprises a brush, the frame of which is insulating and coated with a metal plate forming the anode, the plate through which the bristles of the brush pass.
In this way, since the entire brush can be gripped by hand, exert strong pressure on the objects to be treated and rub a large area, formed for example of a large number of objects to be treated.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a general schematic view thereof, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section through the brush frame.
In these figures, 1 is the tank containing the electrolyte 2, the cathode 4 and the objects 3 to be treated. Above these is a brush whose frame 7 is insulating, for example made of wood, and which, on its underside, has a metal plate 6 forming an anode and connected to the positive pole of the source of electricity. cited by a cable and a member clamping both the frame and the plate and which is not shown in the drawing. The bristles 5 of the brush, made of nylon for example, pass through the plate 6 and protrude below the latter; they are held in place by a wire 8 passing alternately through the bristles and above the frame.
This arrangement makes it possible to rub a large number of objects at the same time if they are located on the same surface and the brush is large enough and to exert by means of the latter a strong pressure on them.
