Description
<B>Leuchte, insbesondere für</B> Quecksilberdampf-Hochdrucidampen Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchte mit einem geschlossenen Leuchtengehäuse, das getrennte Räume für die Lampen, insbesondere Quecksilber dampf-Hochdrucklampen, und deren Vorschaltgeräte hat. Es ist eine Mastaufsatzleuchte bekannt, bei der die Vorschaltgeräte in Mastnähe schräg oberhalb der Lampen angeordnet sind. Trotz Abschirmung durch einen Innenreflektor liegen diese Vorschaltgeräte in dem von den Lampen ausgehenden, aufsteigenden Wärmestrom und sind daher thermisch übermässig beansprucht.
Nach der Erfindung ist eine Verbesserung da durch erzielt, dass die Vorschaltgeräte nahe der In nenseite des Leuchtengehäuses seitlich von den ein zusetzenden Lampen angeordnet und von diesen durch einen kappenförmigen Reflektor getrennt sind. Bei der erfindungsgemässen Leuchte liegen die Vor schaltgeräte ausserhalb des von den Lampen erzeug ten Wärmestromes. Dadurch bleibt die Erwärmung der Vorschaltgeräte innerhalb der zulässigen Gren zen.
Die erfindungsgemässe Leuchte ist in der Zeich nung in einem senkrechten Querschnitt beispielsweise dargestellt.
Die abgebildete Leuchte ist eine breitstrahlende Mastansatz-Spiegel-Leuchte für sechs Quecksilber dampf-Hochdrucklampen 1. Sie hat ein geschlosse nes, rotationssymmetrisches Leuchtengehäuse 2 mit einem zum Aufsetzen auf einen Mast vorgesehenen Rohr 3. Die Quecksilberdampf-Hochdrucklampen 1 und die zu ihrem Betrieb erforderlichen Vorschaltge- räte 4, insbesondere die Drosselspulen, sind in von einander getrennten Räumen untergebracht.
Es sind die Vorschaltgeräte 4 nahe der Innenseite des Leuchtengehäuses 2, seitlich von den Lampen 1 angeordnet und von diesen durch einen kappenför- migen, breitstrahlenden, nach unten offenen Reflek tor 5 getrennt. Zweckmässig liegen die Vorschaltge- räte 4 schräg unterhalb der Lampen 1, also ausser- halb des von diesen aufsteigenden Wärmestromes.
Vorteilhaft befinden sich die Vorschaltgeräte 4 etwa in der Trennungsebene zwischen einem haubenförmi- gen Gehäuseoberteil 6 und einem schalenförmigen Gehäuseunterteil 7. Zweckmässigerweise sind die Vorschaltgeräte 4 und die Lampenfassungen 8 am Gehäuseoberteil 6 befestigt, während der am Rohr 3 angebrachte Reflektor 5 mit seinem flanschförmigen Rand 9 am Gehäuseunterteil 7 anliegt.
Dabei hat die oberhalb des Reflektorrandes 9 befindliche Zone 10 des Gehäuseunterteiles 7 eine lichtundurchlässige Oberfläche. Dadurch ist der Drosselraum der Sicht entzogen. Der die Vorschaltgeräte 4 enthaltende Raum kann in bekannter Weise belüftet werden, wobei Einrichtungen gegen das Eindringen von In sekten und Spritzwasser vorzusehen sind.

A post-top luminaire is known in which the ballasts are arranged in the vicinity of the mast at an angle above the lamps. Despite being shielded by an internal reflector, these ballasts are located in the rising heat flow emanating from the lamps and are therefore exposed to excessive thermal stress.
According to the invention, an improvement is achieved by the fact that the ballasts are arranged near the inside of the lamp housing to the side of the lamps to be inserted and separated from them by a cap-shaped reflector. In the case of the lamp according to the invention, the switching devices are outside the heat flow generated by the lamps. As a result, the heating of the ballasts remains within the permissible limits.
The lamp according to the invention is shown in the drawing voltage in a vertical cross section, for example.
The luminaire shown is a wide beam, top-mounted mirror luminaire for six high-pressure mercury vapor lamps 1. It has a closed, rotationally symmetrical luminaire housing 2 with a tube intended to be placed on a mast 3. The high-pressure mercury vapor lamps 1 and the ones required for their operation Ballasts 4, in particular the choke coils, are housed in separate rooms.
The ballasts 4 are arranged near the inside of the lamp housing 2, to the side of the lamps 1 and separated from them by a cap-shaped, wide-beam reflector 5 that is open at the bottom. The ballasts 4 are expediently situated obliquely below the lamps 1, that is to say outside the heat flow rising from them.
The ballasts 4 are advantageously located approximately in the plane of separation between a hood-shaped upper housing part 6 and a shell-shaped lower housing part 7. The ballasts 4 and lamp sockets 8 are expediently attached to the upper housing part 6, while the reflector 5 attached to the tube 3 with its flange-shaped edge 9 on the lower part 7 of the housing.
The zone 10 of the lower housing part 7 located above the reflector edge 9 has an opaque surface. This means that the throttle space is hidden from view. The room containing the ballasts 4 can be ventilated in a known manner, with devices against the ingress of sects and splashing water are to be provided.
