Machine for the production of foundry molds and foundry cores and other molding compounds using compressed air. The invention relates to a machine which is primarily intended for the production of foundry shapes and foundry cores, but which is also used for the production of other molding compounds can be used.
In the known methods mainly used in practice, the core or molding sand is filled into a storage container and then compressed air is introduced into the closed sand container via a compressed air inlet valve, from which the sand or molding compound is fed into the box to be filled brings in.
Such molding machines that work with compressed air are known in a wide variety of embodiments, whereby two fundamentally different types of machines and modes of operation have to be distinguished, namely on the one hand the real blow molding machines, which after the mixing or
The blowing principle works with an air-sand mixture and, on the other hand, the sand shooting machines, in which the molding sand is simply pushed abruptly into the box to be filled without any particular whirling around or mixing with air. The characteristic features are explained in Swiss Patent Nos. 346 657 and 283 131. A sand shooting machine is also shown and described in Swiss Patent No. 349,374.
In core or mold shooting machines, the sand container has to be refilled at certain time intervals with core or molding sand or another molding compound, for which purpose the sand container usually has a loading slide that seals its upper end and can be moved laterally for sand loading. Above half of the machine's sand container, a storage bunker is arranged above the loading slide. In core shooters, the storage bunker is regularly designed as a loading device in the form of a vibrating chute.
In mold shooting machines, in which the machine's sand container usually has to be refilled after each shot, the storage bunker is usually a large funnel placed on top of the machine's sand container and continuously filled because of the large loading capacity required . The loading process, and in particular the opening and closing movement of the loading slide, is controlled by hand in the smaller machines and automatically in the larger machines, especially in the case of mold shooting machines.
Due to the constant opening and closing, the sand loading slide is subject to considerable wear. It has been found that the wear became greater when the so-called plastic stiff sands, which were customary in the past, were changed to the so-called semi-liquid, more fluid sands, because these easily penetrate into the narrow spaces between the guides of the loading slide and how Emery work.
A particularly high level of wear and tear on the loading slide occurs in mold shooting machines, because when the slide is closed, the entire weight of the storage bin contents presses on the loading slide and the loading slide is opened and closed again at intervals of 5 to 20 seconds after each shot, which takes place more than 1. million times in a year in an automatically operating mold line.
In the case of such a permanent load resulting from the automation, the sand loading slide has to be replaced more often, which means that the entire mold line must be stopped every time the automatic mold lines work continuously. The invention avoids these disadvantages and provides a machine in which there is hardly any wear and tear on the loading slide.
The invention relates to a machine for the manufacture of foundry molds and foundry cores as well as other molding compounds using compressed air, in which the compressed air enters the molding compound container via a compressed air inlet valve and from there the molding compound is introduced into the box to be filled, with the molding compound container has a loading slide which seals its upper end and is laterally displaceable for charging the molding compound.
According to the invention, the machine is characterized in that the loading slide is mounted on roller bodies.
The drawing shows schematically an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of the machine which is set up for mold shooting with post-pressing.
Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale a vertical section through the stand head of the machine and shows the internal structure of the machine.
Fig. 3 shows on a larger scale only the upper part of the stand head of FIG. 2 and illustrates in the right half in section the roller bearing of the loading slide, and in the left half in section the sealing of the roller bearing th loading slide.
Fig. 4 is a plan view of Fig. 3 as a plan view of the top plate of the stand head of Fig. 2 and shows the roller bearing of the loading slide switch.
Fig. 5 shows on a larger scale the sealing device of the roller-mounted loading slide with means of the compressed air seal when the slide is closed.
FIG. 6 shows the compressed air seal of FIG. 5 with the loading slide open, inoperative. According to FIG. 1, this exemplary embodiment is a shooting machine in the manner of a large core shooting machine, which is set up to shoot shapes with repressing. A machine stand 1 and a lifting cylinder 11 are arranged on a base plate 10.
The lifting cylinder 11 is used to raise and lower the Ma machine table 14 on which the molding box to be filled (not shown) is placed. The compressed air storage chamber causing the shooting effect and the sand container of the machine are accommodated in the stand head 2 of the machine.
At the lower end of the sand container, a mold shooting head 6 is provided on the stand head 2, which has a press frame 8, the height of which can be blocked and released again by four hydraulic piston cylinders 15. The piston cylinders 15 are controlled via a feed line 13 by an automatic pneumatic control system of the machine, which is accommodated in the column head 2. A compressed air line 16 leads from the automatically controlled vent valve 9 of the machine to the frame seal of the mold shooting head 6.
Above the stand head 2 be there is a funnel-shaped storage bunker 27, from which the sand container housed in the stand head 2 of the machine via the charging slide 28 is charged with sand or some other molding mass. The loading slide 28 is mounted on horizontal slide rollers 40 and is actuated by means of a compressed air cylinder 29 attached to the machine frame.
According to FIG. 2, the cylindrical sand container 3 is set in the hollow stand head 2 from below, which has a retaining flange 5. The annular chamber 12 remaining in the stator head 2 around the sand container 3 serves as a compressed air storage chamber for the storage of the impact air causing the shock-like shooting effect. The compressed air storage chamber 12 continues in the stator head 2 backwards to the machine stand column 1 (FIG. 1).
The sand container 3 is continued in the upper region of the annular chamber 12, leaving an annular gap 31 through a partition 32.
The partition 32 forms together with a somewhat larger cylinder 24 an annular cylinder chamber 23 Zy in which a ring valve 18 is vertically movable. The ring valve 18 is acted upon on its upper piston surface 26 with control compressed air, which is supplied to the ring-shaped cylinder chamber 23 via a compressed air channel (not shown). The other lower piston surface 25 of the ring valve 18 is under the pressure of the amount of blow air stored in the ring chamber 12. On the unte Ren piston surface 25 of the ring valve 18, a seal 21 is provided with which the ring valve 18 sits on the upper end 20 of the sand container 3.
As a result, the lower piston surface 25 of the ring valve 18 of the compressed air stored in the ring chamber 12 offers a smaller area of attack than the upper piston surface 26 of the control pressure located in the ringför-shaped valve chamber 23 presents.
As a result, the control compressed air in the valve chamber 23 is able to force the ring valve 18 against the pressure of the compressed air stored in the ring chamber 12 against the upper edge 20 of the sand container 3, whereby the annular gap 31 is sealed towards the interior of the sand container. If, on the other hand, the valve chamber 23 is vented, the compressed air stored in the annular chamber 12 drives the annular valve 18 suddenly into its upper dead position and can then enter the interior of the sand container 3 through the annular gap 31.
In the interior of the sand container 3 there is a perforated inner insert 4, which leaves an annular gap 30 between itself and the inner wall of the sand container 3, into which compressed air from the annular compressed air storage chamber 12 enters via the annular gap 31 when the annular shot valve 18 is actuated can then flow downward in the annular space 30 from top to bottom. The Innenein set 4 is provided with a large number of narrow, only fractions of a millimeter wide vertical slots 34 over almost its entire height.
At the upper end of the inner insert 4 is a plurality of equally narrow, only a fraction of a millimeter wide horizontal slots 33 angeord net. As a result, when the shot valve 18 is actuated, the amount of blow air stored in the annular chamber 12 can flow downwards through the annular gap 31 in the annular gap 30 from top to bottom and act radially through the vertical slots 34 through the compact sand located in the inner insert 4 and also over the upper horizontal slots 33 act through on the head of the compact sand mass located in the inner insert 4 in the axial direction.
After the shot, the sand container 3 is vented to the outside via the automatically controlled venting valves 9 arranged on both sides of the stand head 2.
The automatic loading and refilling of the sand container 3 is initiated by a diaphragm valve 17 arranged in the sand container interior, which controls the opening and closing movement of the sand loading slide 28, which seals the upper end of the sand container interior, via a control system (not shown). The loading pusher 28 is mounted on horizontally arranged pusher rollers 40 and is sealed in its closed position by means of a compressed air seal 22 from below.
At the lower end of the sand container 3, a shooting head 6 is arranged. The shooting head 6, which can be fixed or removable, is a form shooting head and for this purpose is equipped with a grate-like ge-shaped shooting head plate 55 which has slot-like shooting nozzles 7 through which the compact sand located in the inner insert 4 is poured into the (not shown) molding box is to be driven.
The mold shooting head 6 is equipped with a press frame 8, the ver vertical sliding surfaces can be sealed by a compressed air seal, which by means of a compressed air line 16 either with the vent valve 9 and thus its control pressure air line 16a (right in Fig. 2) or directly with the control pressure air line 16a of the vent valve 9 (left in Fig. 2) is connected.
According to FIGS. 3 and 4, the charging slide 28 is mounted on rolling elements, which are horizontally arranged rollers 40 in this embodiment. The slide rollers 40 are rotatable about vertical axes 41 and, by means of these, are suspended in the top plate 42. The slide rollers 40 can be rotated easily using Radiax ball bearings. The horizontally arranged rollers 40 have a shoulder-shaped protruding rim 44 on the circumference, on the upper side surface 45 of which the loading slide 28 rests and rolls off.
When the loading slide 28 is moved back and forth, its side edge at the points 46 (FIG. 4) constantly wipes off the sand that has fallen onto the upper side surface 45 of the roller 40, whereby the slide rollers 40 continuously self-clean.
According to FIGS. 3 and 5 and 6, a compressed air seal 22 is provided on the head surface 35 of the stand head 2 for sealing the sand feed slide 28. The compressed air seal 22 is ring-shaped and has two collar-like extensions 36 at the side, on which it is clamped airtightly on an annular clamping surface 39 by means of two ring strips 37 and 38.
To achieve a firm clamping of the side up device collar 36, the ring strips 37 and 38 have downwardly inclined pressure surfaces 47 and 48 to the edge, the collar 36 penetrate wedge-shaped when tightening the seal. So that the compressed air seal cannot be squeezed wide towards its center, the mounting surface 39 has a ring-shaped protruding bar 49 which engages in the cavity 50 of the compressed air seal 22.
So that the ring-shaped fastening strips 37 and 38 on their surface, over which the loading slide 28 sweeps away with a small distance s of only a few tenths of a millimeter, no depressions Ver, in which experience has shown that the sand penetrating into the gap s gradually build up and lead to jamming and wear of the loading slide 28, the compressed air seal 22 is screwed by means of the ring strips 37 and 38 on the ring-shaped base plate 39 by means of the screws 51 from below.
In the deflated state, the ring strips 37 and 38 protrude beyond the upper edge of the compressed air seal 22 by an amount h of the order of magnitude of 0.5 mm (FIG. 6). The compressed air seal 22 can be pressurized via a compressed air channel 52, which leads via a compressed air distribution channel 53 into the cavity 50 of the compressed air seal 22. The compressed air seal 22 is made of an elastic material such as rubber and, as a result, is elastically deformable by the compressed air.
Since the compressed air seal 22 is hollow, it is stretched by the compressed air and is thus able to bridge the gap s existing between the roller-mounted loading slide 28 and the surface of the fastening rings 37 and 38 and to push the loading slide 28 from below against the To press head plate 42 and in this way to seal the interior of the sand container at the top (FIG. 5).
Since the compressed air seal is clamped airtight on its lateral sealing collar 36 by means of the ring strips 37 and 38 on the ring-shaped base plate 39, the sand that penetrates through the gap s to the compressed air seal 22 cannot migrate around the compressed air seal 22 and consequently cannot enter penetrate the sealing cavity 50 and when venting the seal 22 do not reach the sensitive compressed air valves via the channel 52 and do not block them.
