Die Bremse ist mit der Welle .mittels einer Rei- bungsk upplurig verbunden, -die nur ein beschränktes Drehmoment übertragen kann, iso dass die Brems- ldistung ;

Der Zylinder 28 steht über einen Kanal 2:9 mit,der Hochdrudkk ammer 23 der Plumpe, in Verbindung. Dieser .Kanal 29 hat :einen Teil 30 mit verengtem Querschnitt. Der Zylinder 28 .kann Über ein Ent- lastungsventil 25 ;
Dieses Ver- til 36 liegt ständig abdichtend an den Wänden der Bohrung 18 und 35 an. Das verschieibbare Ventil 36 .ist mit einer iaxialen Bohrung 37 versehen,. Ferner weist das Ventil 36 radiale Bohrungen 38 und 41 lauf;
In einer Erweite- rung der Bohrung 37 befindet ,sich ein weiterer Kolben 75. Dieser Kolben 75 ;ist mit einer Spindel 77 ausgestattet, der sich .axial durch Idas Ventil 3.6 in die Bohrung 41 erstreckt. Durch die Spi#ndlel 77 und den Kolben 75 verläuft eine Bohrung 78, die von Odem schon erwähnte;
des Vorsprunges 74 die Bohrung 7.8 verschliesst. Zur gleichen Zeit strömt Druckflüssigkeit von der Bohrung 41 in die ;
In rden Fiig.
Fluid brake for a rotating shaft The invention relates to a fluid brake for a rotating shaft, which consists of a gear pump with a circulating line that can be throttled.
The brake according to idir is especially for braking heavy vehicles. .suitable, such as B. of Eisenbiahnzügen, in which the locomotive develops a high braking power who must.
On the other hand, the invention is by no means restricted to idiotic applications, but is always useful in the same way.
if a rotating mass i decelerated by braking a shaftDr.tt. must become.
Hydraulic brakes are already known in which the power to be destroyed is insufficiently converted into heat. However, these brakes suffer from one or more of the following shortcomings:
The brake cannot be fully released, so there is always a certain amount of braking loss.
This applies if the mechanical connection between the shaft and the brake is not released, but only if the restrictions on the fluid circuit are lifted or the brake, apart from that, is
of ider required for idrne cooling. Liquid, drained wind.
The brake is connected to the shaft by means of a form-fitting coupling, so that a special synchronization device is required for actuating the brake, which is subject to wear each time it is actuated.
The brake is connected to the shaft by means of a friction clutch, which can only transmit a limited torque, so that the braking power;
is limited by this limited torque in the clutch, with the clutch moreover slipping when the shaft and brake are synchronized and subject to wear.
With the two last-mentioned brakes, considerable external power is also required to engage the clutch and keep it engaged.
The fluid brake according to the invention evades; by an in # and, au:
releasable coupling with a coupling half connected to the rotating shaft (and a coupling half connected to the driving shaft of the pump and a hydraulically operated piston for engaging and holding the coupling, which in turn is
the outlet part of the pump is connected via a selectively adjustable control slider in order to keep the coupling in the engaged position, as well as by a device for adjusting the control slider.
In this orphan, the following advantages are achieved:
The hydraulic pressure acting on the clutch increases proportionally to the output pressure of the pump, whereby the ability of the clutch to transmit torque increases with increasing pump pressure in such a way that
i that it is always sufficient for Ida's total torque, d. H. i that the clutch cannot slip and is therefore not subject to wear.
All of the force required to keep the clutch engaged is derived from the pump; H. (the clutch is engaged by a power, which is destroyed by braking soot,
and therefore does not require an external source for hydraulic fluid or the like, rather it is completely self-contained.
To achieve a smooth engagement of the brake, it is also desirable that the counter pressure of the pump gradually builds up,
so that the braking power increases steadily. Such a vent is expediently achieved by a throttle valve which is located in the outlet of the pump:
located on the high pressure side. This valve is set by a servomotor, advantageously as a function of the pump pressure, but with a delay. The work chamber of the servomotor can be connected to the pressure side of the pump via a line for this purpose.
i which has an opening with a narrowed cross section, so that the pressure increase in the servomotor is delayed compared to the pressure increase in the pump.
The servo motor can also be equipped with a. hydraulically operated pistons
it is directly connected to the throttle valve. The effective area of the piston is practical, larger than that of the valve bell, so that the valve can be closed by the servo motor.
The pressure chamber of the servomotor can, however, be switched on with the aid of a relief valve in the pump circuit on the side of the throttle valve in order to reduce the throttling of the P:
The pressure quay wall of the servo motor can also be connected to the suction side of the pump by a pipeline in which:
a selectively adjustable valve is located to enable the throttle valve Du to open very quickly.
Suitable embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows: a longitudinal section of a braking device according to the invention along the line 1, 1 in Fig. 2.

idie by means of roller bearings 8 collar 9 hiss in part 2 ibzw. 3 ides housing as, is stored.
The shaft 4 is provided with a shell-shaped part 10, because a disc coupling 11 is located.
This coupling comprises several slices 12, which are ffdrehfiast: sit on the shaft 4, and several disks. 13, the idrehfest with,
the shaft 7 are connected. In the sahalenförtnigen part 10 there is also a pressure plate 14, which is set against the axial movement away from idea disks, as well as a hydraulically actuated clutch,
which is connected to a piston 15i in a pressure cylinder 16. The cylinder 1, 6 is permanently connected to a central bore in the shaft 4 via at least one line 17.
A toothed wheel 19 is non-rotatably seated on the shaft 7. This toothed wheel is constantly in engagement with a second toothed wheel 20 (Füg. 2).
You, the two toothed wheels 19, 20 extend to the vicinity: the peripheral walls of the part 3 and the axial walls of the part 2 round,
3 ides the housing and .act. As a gear pump. On one side of this gear pump, in part 3 of the housing, there is a needle pressure chamber 21, which is provided with an inlet opening 22, while on the other side of the pump,
: Also in the housing part 3, a high-pressure chamber 23 is located, which is provided with a high-pressure opening 24 (Fig. la). In the high-pressure opening 24 there is a fine valve disk 25.
This valve disk 25 is firmly connected via a spindle 26 to a piston 27 which is located in a cylinder 28; the effective area of this piston 27 is greater than the area of this valve disk 25.
The cylinder 28 is via a channel 2: 9 with the Hochdrudkk ammer 23 of the plump in connection. This channel 29 has: a part 30 with a narrowed cross section. The cylinder 28 .can via a relief valve 25;
also come into connection with a channel 46, in which case the liquid, after passage, passes through the high pressure opening 24 and through the valve 25.
The cylinder 28 is also connected to the low pressure chamber 22 of the pump by means of a line 21 in which there is an optionally adjustable valve 32 (Fig. 2).
The liquid flows from the channel 46 through a high-pressure cooler 33, in which it exchanges heat with a cooling liquid in order to enter the low-pressure chamber 22 behind the cooler.
In a central bore 1.8, the shaft 4, a central bore 34 ider shaft 7 and a Büh: runig 35 in the housing part 3, there is an axially displaceable valve 36 (control slide).
This valve 36 is permanently in sealing contact with the walls of the bore 18 and 35. The displaceable valve 36 is provided with an iaxial bore 37. Furthermore, the valve 36 has radial bores 38 and 41 running;
which connect the central bores 37 with the ring below 40 or 39 in the jacket wall of the valve. The valve 36 is adjustable between two different end positions.
The groove 40 has a length in the iaxial direction such that it is in communication with the line 17 in both end positions of the valve so that there is always an open connection path between the cylinder 16 and the bore 37: (Fig. 1b ) consists.
The groove 40 is in the left end position of the valve via booms 42, 43 with the high-pressure chamber 23 of the pump and in the right end position of the valve via a Bohnunig 44 and the central bore 34 as well
Connected to the low-pressure line 53 via the chamber containing the clutch disks 12 and 13 (Fig. 1c). In the right end position ides valve 36, the groove 40 is also via a bore with: the clutch chamber in connection.
The innermost part of the borehole 18 also protrudes beyond the borehole 48 in connection with the coupling chamber.
The displaceable valve 36 is adjusted with the aid of a pressure medium supplied by an external pressure source (not shown). The printing medium is fed to a cylinder 50 via a line 49.
In the cylinder 50 there is a piston 51 which is permanently connected to the valve 3,6:
is. When the pressure medium is measured, the piston 51 and the valve 36 are moved against the action of springs 52 into the end position in which the bore 42 comes into contact with the groove 39, and when the pressure medium is switched off, the piston 51 is moved and the valve 36 is moved back by the springs 52 into the other end position in which the bore 44 comes into contact with the groove 39.
A plate 72 is rigidly mounted in the piston 51. This plate is provided with several openings 73 which penetrate the plate in the axial direction, and with a central projection 74 which faces the valve 36.
Another piston 75 is located in a widening of the bore 37. This piston 75 is equipped with a spindle 77 which extends axially through the valve 3.6 into the bore 41. A bore 78 runs through the spindle 77 and the piston 75, which Odem already mentioned;
Forespining 74 can turn closed. Furthermore, an axial groove 79 is provided on the outer surface of the spindle 77, which extends continuously from the end of the spindle to the piston 75.
The fluid circuit between the brake and the tank 54 is shown in @Fig. 3 shown. From the coupling chamber in the housing part 1 the liquid flows through a line 53 to the tank 54,
Then the same pressure 1 in the housing part 1 and in the tank 54 is maintained via an air line 55. The liquid flows from the liquid tank via a line 56 to an injection nozzle 57 in the low-pressure chamber 51,
In order to generate sufficient pressure here to avoid the formation of cavutation.
The cooler 33 has a construction which is particularly suitable for rapid temperature changes and corresponding changes in the length of the cooler tubes. The liquid calcifies through coaxial pipe pairs 58, 59 and 80, 81.
Each of these tubes is only on one of the end walls 60! Or. 61 of the cooler! The inner tubes 5.8, 8.1 are:
open at both ends, whereas the outer tubes 59, 80 are closed on one side. The inner tubes are so much shorter than the outer tubes that the tubes are connected to one another near the bottom of the outer tube. To ... the heat:
To improve transmission, guide surfaces for the liquid are provided between the two tubes. The liquid wind bim cooler in:
in such a way that it first passes through an inner tube 5, 8 and back on the outside of this tube, but within the coaxial outer tube 59 into a chamber 62,
between the end walls 60 and 61 flows. From the chamber 62 flows!
Liquid through the further outer tube 80 and back through the coaxial inner tube 81 to the dimension 22 of the pump. The outer sides of the outer tubes 59, 80! Are in constant contact with a cooling medium,
which is fed to the cooler through opening 63 and discharged from it through an opening 64,
Lay brake! According to the invention works in the following way: The shaft 4 is rigidly connected to the while to be braked and rotates continuously .with @this. In normal operation without braking is the sliding one
Valve 36 @ in its right end position (shown! In Fig. 1), so "the groove 40 with the bore 47 and thus the cylinder 16! With RTI ID =" 0003.0250 "WI =" 5 "HE =" 4 "LX =" 1118 "LY =" 942 "> the clutch chamber, is in communication. The clutch is released in this way,
.and the shaft 4 can threaten itself freely with respect to the remaining parts of the brake assembly.
In order to actuate the brake, pressure medium is supplied to the cylinder 50 via the line 49. As a result, the piston 51 is displaced to the left against the force of the spring 52,
until the connection between the groove 40 and the bore 47 is interrupted and the groove 39 comes into connection with the bore 42. At the same time the piston 75 winds:
versus. the action of the spring 76 is shifted to the left until the spindle 77 interrupts the connection between the central bore 37 and the bore 41. The pressure medium! Then flows through the bores 73,
78, 37 and 38, the groove 40 and the bore 17 to the pressure cylinder 1.6, whereby the piston 15 against the clutch disks 12, 13; is pressed. This engagement of the clutch 11! Is sufficient to generate a torque sufficient to drive the pump gears 19, 20.
When these gears! Turn, (a high pressure arises in the high pressure chamber 23. This pressure is generated via the bores 4:
3 and 42,, the groove 39, the bore 41 and the groove 49 transferred to the rear of the piston 7.5, so that the piston 75 together with its Spdn-, del 77 is moved to the right and by means of
of the projection 74 closes the bore 7.8. At the same time pressure fluid flows from the bore 41 into the;
axial tubing 43 and through the bores 38,! the groove 40 and .the bore 17 in! acta cylinder 1,6. As a result, the torque of the coupling 11 and thus that of the pump 19, 20 pressure generated increased.
The increase in the torque thus leads to a further increase in pressure, followed by a further increase in the torque, etc.
The clutch 11 is engaged in this way in such a way that it is practically not subject to any slip during the engagement time because the pressure generated by the gear pump 19, 20 is so high that:
the force waving on the piston 15 more valley: is sufficient to push the discs 12, 13 against each other for practically slip-free synchronization.
If the pressure in the high pressure chamber 23 increases, it becomes effective via the duct 29 @ in the cylinder 28 of the servomotor. As a result of the throttle point 30, however, (the pressure in the cylinder 28 during the engagement time is lower than the pressure in <RTI
ID = "0004.0035"> the high pressure chamber 23. The piston 27 of the servomotor has a larger area than the plate of the valve 27, so that this valve can be operated in the event of a pressure,
increased the high pressure port 24 closes more and more. As a result, the pressure in the high pressure chamber 23 rises rapidly. At a certain: Pressure value in cylinder 28:
of the servomotor, which depends on the setting of the relief valve. 45 depends, this valve opens,
so that the adjustment of the valve 25 and thus the maximum pressure in the high pressure chamber 23 are limited. After passing through the high pressure port 24 and blowing valve 25, the liquid is passed through the:
Channel 26. Directed to the cooler, where it exchanges heat with a separate cooling medium. From the cooler 23 the liquid flows back through the low-pressure chamber 21 in order to circulate the clumsily.
The brake is disengaged by interrupting the supply of hydraulic fluid via line 49.
The slidable valve 36 is then guided back to its right end position by the springs 52. In this position it says:
the groove 40 with the bore 47 into. Connection, whereby the pressure cylinder 1,6 via the bore 17, the groove 40 and the bore 47 with the .Kupplungskammer will be, so that the pressure in the cylinder 16 on the ,
the same value as in the pressure chamber: the result of the "disengagement of the clutch" decreases. The torque transmission via the clutch 1, 1 is thereby interrupted, and consequently also the drive of the pump 19, 20.
The fluid pressure with the pump quickly evens out. This pressure equalization can: continue by opening the valve 32 in the body 31 -between the cylinder 28 of the servo motor and the:
Pump inlet 22 is accelerated. -The shaft 4 is completely released in this way and can turn freely again when the driving shaft has been delayed by the braking process.
In rden Fiig. 4 and 5 another embodiment of the invention is shown, which differs from that according to Eden, FIGS. 1 and 3, in that the shaft 4, which enforces the gesiambe braking device,
.and Idas central valve 36 i. Adjustment valve 65 are replaced, which is equipped with a valve chamber 66 -equipped .and is located in part 2 of the housing.
The valve chamber 6: 6 stands with the high pressure chamber 23 of the pump via a channel 67, with the clutch chamber via .eine, channel 68 and with the pressure cylinder 16 with the same piston 18 via bores 69,
70 and 71 a connection. In one end position (of the valve 65, the cylinder 16 is therefore connected to the high-pressure chamber 23 of the pump, so that:
ss the brake is operated by wind. In the other end position of valve 65, cylinder 16 is connected to (the clutch chamber, so that the brake is released.
The depicted allow various modifications within the scope of the invention.
