Description

  Zur Sicherstellung des Stromdurchgangs trotz der       Ringauftrennung    wird z. B. zu einer Unterteilung der  Ringstücke senkrecht zur Achse geschritten, zu einer       Aufteilung    in mehrere koaxiale, scheibenförmige Teile,  zwischen denen ein angemessener Abstand vorzusehen  ist;

Squirrel-cage winding for rotors in electrical machines The present invention relates to a squirrel-cage winding for rotors in electrical machines, e.g. B. for hard operation, @d. H. for operating modes in which a considerable amount of heat is released, such as during slip operation or during start-up.

In these windings, it is particularly important to have an elastic design of the outer circular or circular arc-shaped connections as well as their subdivision, with winding deformation due to centrifugal force being avoidable with the aid of shrink caps.

It is in fact known that such windings, if they are carried out in the classic way as a rigid association, are exposed to significant - static as well as dynamic - forces that can cause both the breakage and cracking of bars as a result of fatigue.

As a remedy, various measures have already been proposed to make both the rods and the rings in order to reduce the stresses ela stic and deformable, with possibly additional, elastic connection between rods and rings.

Likewise, various devices have been proposed to avoid vibrations resulting from deformations of the rings because of their free-floating attachment to the rod ends.

One of the advantages of such a device is that it emerges directly from the classic solution, namely the use of rings and their connections with the rod ends, only the design is changed to achieve the elastic effect sought, but without the Manufacturing process itself to change.

The method consists, for example, in subdividing a ring into several segments and in creating a sufficiently large game between the latter so that the expansions can be carried out freely when heated, especially during starts.

It is well known that in moments of perforation the ring experiences very rapidly rising excess temperatures while the shrink cap is still cold, which in certain cases can be between 200 and 300 C.

With such temperature rises and with the given differences in the expansion coefficients of the copper alloys used as filling on the one hand and the steels used in shrink rings, on the other hand, the elastic limit of one or the other part is reached very quickly or even very far exceeded.

To avoid such phenomena, it is sufficient to remove the mechanical stresses. But now: the specific forces in a ring or a part of a ring are proportional to the arc length; when divided into segments, the stresses, because they are proportional to the length of the corresponding arch, are only a fraction of the value at the original design.

  To ensure the passage of current despite the ring separation z. B. proceeded to a subdivision of the ring pieces perpendicular to the axis, to a division into several coaxial, disc-shaped parts, between which an appropriate distance is to be provided;

After moving the segment separation points from: one level to the other, the segments can be appropriately regrouped in that a previously grooved connecting rod or a comb piece is placed in a straight line to each lattice bar and parallel to it, the grooves for receiving and electrical rule Connection of said layered segments are intended.

Because the conductive ring restored in this way is relatively flexible and deformable in the radial direction, it does not offer sufficient resistance to the centrifugal forces. In order to prevent radial deformations, the ring is therefore surrounded with a shrink cap, while the tangential displacements resulting from the longitudinal expansion of the segments remain possible.

This movement is also facilitated by, for example, placing an insulating material with a low coefficient of friction between the shrink cap and the winding ring.

Another advantage of this double-subdivided device in comparison to the solid design is the increase in the heat-emitting surfaces, which allow very effective heat dissipation by convection. For an equally high overtemperature of the rings, three to four times higher losses can therefore be permitted, and this offers great freedom in the choice of the loss distribution between rods and rings.

The cage winding according to the invention for rotors of electrical machines, consisting of lattice bars, .which are embedded in grooves and connected at both ends of the rotor by short-circuit rings, is characterized in that .die short-circuit rings are divided in the axial direction into coaxial ring elements with mutual spacing and these ring elements are subdivided into segments by radial division,

.that are connected to each other by a grooved connecting piece per lattice bar, and: that the subdivided short-circuit rings are surrounded by a shrink cap that is isolated from the winding, but is connected to it with a force fit.

As an illustrative, but not restrictive, exemplary embodiment of the invention, a cage winding is explained with reference to the drawing.

Fig. 1 shows the longitudinal section through one of the two rotor end parts of an asynchronous motor with a short-circuit winding.

Fig. 2 contains a plan view and a partial section of the same end portion.

Fig. 3 is an exterior view of the split ring with the jacket of the shrink cap omitted.

4 is a schematic view for the case of a ring composed of 3 individual rings.

Fig. 5 relates to the case of a ring consisting of 5 individual rings.

In FIG. 1, the shaft 1 or the wheel spider of a motor with a short-circuit winding carries the metal sheets 2, which are pressed together at their ends by a plate 3.

The grooves formed by; the stamped metal sheets contain the bars 4, which are verbun at the end of the sheet metal body by a short-circuit ring, which consists of three individual rings 5, the latter being connected again by grooved connecting rods or comb pieces 6, the .sich are in a straight continuation of the bars.

An insulating intermediate layer 7 of cylindrical shape covers the outer surface of the rod structure. Another, disk-shaped insulating layer 8 is attached to the front sides of the bars, while a shrink cap 9 surrounds the whole and is non-positive with the short-circuit ring, but remains electrically isolated from the bar structure with the help of insulated bolts that are inserted into the outer ring 5a are screwed in,

whereby the strength of the screw connection by spacers 12 remains guaranteed.

The drive force is also transmitted to the shrink cap with the aid of the guide piece 13, which is attached to the plate 3 by long screws 11 '(not shown), together with the wedges 14 which are attached between the cap 9 and the sliders 15 attached to the guide piece .

Under these conditions, both the centering of the shrink cap 9 near the shaft and its axial displacement on the sliders 15 when expanding .der bars 4 are guaranteed, which avoids any stress on the cap due to rod heating.

In FIG. 2, the subdivision of the individual rings 5 into segments can be seen through the parting lines 16a, which are drawn as continuous lines on the outer ring and as dashed lines on the inner rings; they allow the segments to stretch in the longitudinal and circumferential direction, which eliminates any stress caused by ring heating.

The insulation inserts 7 and 8 are also involved in eliminating these stresses. These have a low coefficient of friction on the jacket and side surfaces, where they are in contact with the cage winding, which is subject to expansion. This facilitates the corresponding movements in the circumferential direction.

The holes 17 for the entry of the cooling air are in the bottom of the cap, while the holes 18 (Fig. 1) for the outlet of the warm air are located in the cap ring.

In Fig. 3, each individual ring 5 is shown with its system of separation points 16 and 16a, this being shifted to the system of the adjacent ring by one slot division. Each segment has an arc length that corresponds to three slot pitches.

As a result of this arrangement, there is a single separation point 16 between two lattice bars 4 and between two segments. From an electrical point of view, or useful equivalent ring cross-section at every point is equal to the double cross-section of a single ring. The total current is distributed over two paths through which the halved current flows and which are symbolically represented as 19 and 20 in Fig. 4, where 4 the bars and 6 mean the comb-shaped connector.

The panes 5 are soldered or welded onto the bars 4, in the same way as the joint connectors 6 on the panes 5.

The role of the combs 6 is, on the one hand, to facilitate the transport of electricity between two individual rings, the separation points of which are in .der the adjacent intermediate route; .on the other hand, the combs considerably increase the cooling surface of the ring and thereby improve the effectiveness of the cooling.

These are considerations that relate to the entire actual cross-section of the short-circuit ring, to its heating, to the divisibility of the number of slots and finally to the technological means that are used when choosing the two parameters when subdividing into disks and Play along segments.

As an example, a scheme is shown in FIG. 5 in which the ring is divided into five annular disks, and where the outer arc of the segments corresponds to a length of five groove pitches. In this case, the total flow is divided into four parallel paths 21, 22, 23 and 24, in which the fourth part of the mentioned flow flows through each individual path.

Incidentally, one should not go too far when increasing the number of individual rings, because this - in addition to the manufacturing difficulties - would lead to an excessive lengthening of the bars outside the iron.

The bars, segments and comb connectors can be made of alloyed copper. However, the scope of the invention is not left if the bars are made of hard copper, while the segments and combs made of electrical resistance material are Herge to allow most of the losses to arise in demje nigen place where they can be dissipated.
