Le distributeur est alors prêt pour une nouvelle utilisation. On pourrait remplacer le briquet 8 par un all'ume-ci@garette compre- nant un fil enroulé en spirale présentant une résistance spécifique prédéterminée, choisi de sorte que, lorsqu'il est placé sous une tension @de 12 volts par exemple, il devienne incandescent. Le fil en spirale sera monté sur un socle en terre réfractaire;
Automatic dispenser for lighted cigarettes The present invention relates to an automatic dispenser for lighted cigarettes. This dispenser is characterized in that it comprises .a housing containing a row of cigarettes placed in a charger, a cigarette lighter located near the cigarette placed at the bottom of the charger,. And a firing device allowing switch on the lighter:
cigarette in order to light the cigarette placed at the bottom @du charger, the latter being near said cigarette lighter.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the dispenser, object of the invention. The dispenser shown in the single figure of the drawing comprises a housing 1 fixed by means of 4 self-adhesive pads 2 on a supporting surface 3 approximately vertical. A cover 4 is fixed to the case 1 by means of a hinge 5. A plate 6 .placed parallel to the upper part of the case 1 forms with the latter a charger containing the cigarettes 7. A lighter 8 is fixed to the cover 4.
On the lighter there is a cigarette holder 9 which, when the cover is closed, acts on a leaf spring 10 and pushes the latter against the bottom of the case. A chain 11 is fixed, on the one hand, to the housing 1 and, on the other hand, to the cover @du lighter (not shown in the drawing). A bar 12 is also fixed inside the box and will serve to close the lid of the lighter when the latter has been lit, as explained below.
The lighter 8 used in the l e @distributor described is a simple benzine lighter found on the market. This lighter has at its upper end a cover rotating around an axis perpendicular to the major axis of the lighter. Opening the cover releases the wick from the lighter and turns the wheel, producing a spark, which ignites the wick of the lighter.
The end of the chain 11 is fixed to the lid of the lighter so that, when the lid 4 opens, the lighter moves away from the case and the chain 11 is stretched, which produces the opening of said lid.
The dispenser just described operates as follows Suppose the user desires a lit cigarette. The cover 4 is then closed, the cigarette holder 9 contains a cigarette and presses the leaf spring 10 against the bottom of the housing 1. When the cover 4 is opened, the latter goes from position A to a position B by rotating around the hinge 5. As the bri quet 8 and the cigarette holder 9 are attached to the cover 1 they also rotate. around hinge 5 and exit the housing.
The leaf spring 10 which was pressed against the bottom of the housing 1 is released and immediately relaxes, as soon as the cover 4 is opened. It therefore blocks the cigarettes contained inside the charger represented by the plate 6 and the upper part of the case 1. At the same time, the chain 11 is stretched, acts on the cover of the lighter 8 and opens it. The spark produced by the wheel rotating with the lighter's cover ignites the wick.
When the cover 4 is in position B, the cigarette on the support 9 is located above the flame of the lighter 8. The cigarette catches fire and as it is now well outside the box it bridge be taken without difficulty by the user. It is obvious that the housing 1 comprises a stop not shown which keeps the cover in position! B shown in the drawing:
The user, after having taken the cigarette, closes the cover 4 of the housing 1 in order to bring it again to position A. The open cover of the lighter rests against the bar 12 which is rigid, said cover being closed by the latter. The support 9 again acts against the leaf spring 10, rests it against the bottom of the case and a cigarette 7 contained in the charger falls on said support 9.
The dispenser is then ready for further use. The lighter 8 could be replaced by a lighter 8 comprising a spiral wound wire having a predetermined specific resistance, chosen so that, when placed under a voltage @ of 12 volts for example, it becomes incandescent. The spiral wire will be mounted on a base in refractory earth;
the whole being actuated by a rod device, when opening the cover 4 and leaning on the cigarette when the cover 4 arrives in position B. A switch would also be actuated when the cover 4 arrives in position B , in order to put the wire in. spiral under tension and thus bring it to a temperature sufficient to light up a cigarette.
